DNC chairwoman: What, politics influencing the president's Keystone XL delay? Nahhh.

You’ve got to admit, she does an almost impressive job here deflecting David Gregory’s persistence, brazenly ignoring the reality of the situation, and walking that fine line between angering neither of the warring factions within her own party — just like the White House is doing on the issue. It couldn’t possibly be any more painfully obvious that the now once again delayed-through-the-election Keystone XL pipeline decision no longer has anything to do with the actual merits of the projects and that it is now all about appeasing the opposition from the small but well-monied and vociferously “green” wing of the Democratic donor class versus avoiding putting vulnerable Democrats from pro-energy states into a difficult spot. Quite the conundrum for the White House, really, but their talking-points robots are out on the job! Starting at around the 4:00 mark:
