Graham: I may never forgive Biden for his "very dishonorable" bug-out from Afghanistan

A notable leftover from yesterday, in which Lindsey Graham all but renounces any personal relationship with Joe Biden. “He has blood on his hands,” Graham said of Biden’s rushed retreat from Afghanistan. Not only did Biden act in “a very dishonorable way” in abandoning Americans and our allies in his haste to bug out, Graham warns that Biden has set the stage for “another 9/11.”

Oh, and … happy Veterans Day:

Graham, during an interview on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” said issues that arose from the troop withdrawal were “all so preventable,” before reflecting on his damaged personal relationship with the president.

“I’ve known Joe Biden for a long time, I had a good personal relationship with him. He’s a decent man. But what he did in Afghanistan I will never forgive him for, he has blood on his hands, and he’s made America less safe,” Graham said.

He said Biden has been “the most consistently wrong man on foreign policy in my lifetime,” adding “When it comes to Joe Biden he’s made America less safe, he’s acted in a very dishonorable way.”

“I can’t wait until the next election to stop this socialist train on the domestic side, and have a chance to get a commander in chief that knows how to keep this country safe,” the senator said.

Graham went a little further than Robert Gates did, even after echoing the former Defense secretary about Biden’s foreign-policy flops. “Joe Biden has been the most incompetent president in my lifetime on foreign policy,” Graham exclaims. “The insurance policy against another 9/11 was cancelled with the withdrawal. … [It] is paving the way for another 9/11 against our homeland and our allies,” Graham accuses, “and it was all so preventable.”

Curiously, Graham doesn’t get around to talking about the thousands of Americans that Biden abandoned to the Taliban. His comments on that disgrace are limited to the Afghans we abandoned after working with them over the last two decades to prevent the Taliban’s return to power. Others in the political realm are demanding answers to this abandonment, however. A group of Navy SEALs running for Congress next year appeared on Fox News today to demand more attention to the plight of those Americans abandoned by Biden. Morgan Luttrell wonders why most media outlets are avoiding the topic:

MORGAN LUTTRELL: If the Biden administration is so concerned about saving American lives with these mandates, these mask mandates and so on and so forth, why don’t they mandate we rescue our citizens and save their lives as well over in Afghanistan?…

All Biden has to do is say let’s do this, let’s mandate this. Task Milley, task Austin, and go get our people. If Big Pharma’s pumping that much money into the DNC that all you’re hearing on the news is about mandates and vaccines, why don’t we get some people to say the same thing about our citizens overseas and bring them home?

This is more than an embarrassment. Pulling out the troops while abandoning their family members and not even knowing how many are left three months later is a disgraceful, willful self-humiliation. And having every other major media outlet ignore this issue almost every day over the last three months is equally disgraceful for the American news industry, which poses as the Light that dispels the Darkness that threatens democracy. They certainly like to go dark to protect politicians they like. Biden has a lot for which to answer, but he’s hardly alone on that score.

On the same issue, our friend John Ondrasik from Five For Fighting passes along this Veterans Day message from Rooftop Leadership. Lt. Col. Scott Mann issues this heartfelt plea for more focus on those left behind in Afghanistan. Disgrace hardly does justice to what Biden has done here.
