I haven’t had time to follow the Goldstein/Frisch story much, but conservative bloggers, Jeff Goldstein in particular, are showing more restraint than I would have if someone had threatened my children.
I’m worried about the future of our country with an education system that includes people like this.

Your tax dollars at work.
Can we question their patriotism now?

Why can’t Johnny think? Teachers like this. As soon as I figure out how to homeschool a PhD…
Pablo on July 10, 2006 at 8:42 AM
Ah yes. More “tolerance” from the Moonbat Brigade. When you have no argument, attack the wife and child of your opponant to show your compassion and superior intellect and wisdom. Hmm, interesting concept, but not one I am ready to embrace. Must be because I am a racisthomophobenazifacisthatefilled right winger, eh?
MalkinFan on July 10, 2006 at 8:50 AM
Michelle brought up what I think is a salient point in all this talk of “Bush/Cheney et. al. engineered 9/11″; one I’ve brought up whenever the consiracy idea was raised to me: If Bush is so dumb (couldn’t run a company; rcv’d bad grades in school) how is he smart enough to get away with 9/11? And why wouldn’t he be smart enough to plant WMD’s in Iraq to help his cause?

There was a day when there was a name for these people. It was idiots, but now we call them progressive democrats for some reason.
NRA4Freedom on July 10, 2006 at 9:40 AM
i’m no lawyer, but isn’t what she did illegal? is it illegal to threaten someone’s life?
pullingmyhairout on July 10, 2006 at 9:43 AM
As an academic, I feel shame after viewing Michelle Malkin’s excellent video. Although the university I teach at is more apolitical than most, there are plenty of faculty there with the mindsets exposed in the video and correspondingly few who are willing to publicly stand up to the bullies.
There is no conspiracy on the left in academia, just as there was no Bush conspiracy to create a 9-11. Rather, there is a pervasive American culture hating mindset that I can understand as I once shared it to a certain extent.

Wow, so hookers and booze makes one an expert on the secret workings of our government!
I’m gonna hafta re-think my weekend plans.
speed647 on July 10, 2006 at 10:25 AM
What is most telling about this whole fiasco is the silence of the sensitive Left…kind of like the silence of the moderate Muslims regarding jihadis.
pubscout on July 10, 2006 at 11:16 AM
This must be said to the “Bush caused 9/11″ conspiracy nuts:
Our government is incapable of keeping secrets. Recent cases in point are the CIA overseas prisons, NSA wiretapping, and SWIFT. Officials are leaking technology to China and ex-officials are stuffing documents from the National Archives down their pants and are still free to do the lecture and talkshow circuits.
One would think that after the extensive 9/11 Commission interviews and years of digging by the press, if Bush had actually caused 9/11 it would’ve already been uncovered and splashed all over the front pages.
But it hasn’t. “Move On”, people.

To the Staff at HotAir and Pablo.
The link that is provided by this Vent to Protein Wisdom is:http://www.proteinwisdom.com/
This link will take you to a page that says that the page is unavailable.
However, the actual webpage to Protein Wisdom is:
http://proteinwisdom.com/
and it works just fine. It appears the addition of the http://www. in the Vent link is what causes the problem.
Very respectfully

Thank You Michelle for your viligance!
It is comforting to know that someone as perceptive and insightful as Michelle is on Moonbat Patrol. It is important that we know what type of people, with their moonbat views and actions, are out there and where they are.
Perhaps if a Moonbat such as “Ward” or “Deb” will leave a forwarding address we can send them a case of toilet paper with a note “Thinking of You”.

This psycho should be in jail; at least getting the psychological help she so desperately needs.
Can you imagine had someone on the right threatened a young family member of a left wing blog?
For starters, it would be headline news on every major media outlet…
Lady Heather on July 10, 2006 at 12:35 PM
We should not be surprised at references to violence made by the left, especially when directed towards children. It just demonstrates that for the hardcore left, when all else fails, use threats and filth to try to win an argument. Michelle’s book UNHINGED demonstrates what is going on. And I think her children have been threatened, too.
On another site, I got into a heated argument with a self annointed elitist, liberal, college professor who announced that he was combat engineer marine, a holder of a belt in Karate (tye-dye 100% polyestor, I think) who proclaimed that he will fight like a marine for liberal causes and that I was not to mess with him. In other words, I am to shut up and not stand up to him, or else.
Threats of violence from the left will always continue until they get their way. Remember, my brethren Malkinites, that the hardcore liberals cannot tolerate anyone who engages them and they hope that by being insutlting, rude, nasty and threatening (even if it means threatening children)then that is OK. But if conservatives, Republicans, or whomever gives them a dose of their own medicine, then those people are mean spirited, evil, hateful, and unfair. NOTICE THE DOUBLE STANDARDS.
IT IS TIME THAT JEFF GOLDSTEIN, AND WHOMEVER ELSE THAT IS THREATENED IN SUCH A MANNER, CALL THE SHERIFF IMMEDIATELY, ESPECIALLY IF THE LIVES OF THEIR CHILDREN HAVE BEEN THREATENED! AND MICHELLE, THAT GOES ESPECIALLY FOR YOU, IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO.
NEVER HESITATE TO CALL THE SHERIFF AT THE SLIGHTEST INSTANCE OF A THREAT TO THE LIVES OF YOU, YOUR FAMILY, ETC.
Indeed, the luxury of bullying must be taken away from the forces-that-hope-to be.
And finally, Michelle, once again, thanks to you, Allahpundit, Bryan, and Mark for all you do against the enemies of our country-both internal and external.

It is obvious that I am a technological idiot. I wrote earlier that the link provided by the Vent was http://www.proteinwisdom.com/ but that the reason this link wasn’t working was because proteinwisdoms actuall adress was http://proteinwisdom.com/
Well, now the Vent link works just fine, using what appears to be the same address with the http://www.
Whatever. I’m shutting up about technical matters as it seems clear that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Just want to clarify, Is frisch just a regular liberal, or somehow different?
wcarr on July 10, 2006 at 12:52 PM
Wcarr, she is a full blown moonbat now, I’d say.
jcon96 on July 10, 2006 at 1:10 PM
how does a moonbat differ from other average liberals, KOS, Howard Dean, Babs Streisand, Sheehan, the Sheens… The list goes on & on. Peas in a pod. Moonbat - average among their ilk.
No?

A commentor above asked, i’m no lawyer, but isn’t what she did illegal? is it illegal to threaten someone’s life?
The below should fit, assuming that the interstate nexus is met and the prosecutor concurs that the language in the emails constituted an actual threat. Debbie Schlussel has indicated on her blog that she received what she considered to be email threats, reported them but was not satisfied with the response of federal authorities.
18 USC § 875. Interstate communications
(c) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

How can anyone be surprised at what the MOONBATS do or say I
haven’t heard one yet that protects the children, Have You?
Judges/ Lawyers/ ACLU/ and the list goes on that protects the
Predators and not the law abiding citizens.
Come on guys think if she teaches or just talks to the children then the children are in trouble.
You send your children to the best colleges and they come home thinking you’re crazy unless you have control of what they are being taught.
Liberals are a menace to our country and they want to keep destroying ever thing that is good for our kids.(including their minds)

Where can I go take acting lessons, get an agent, make some movies, then be a genius at terror investigations? The thing was planned for years. The terrorists got training, studied maps, orchestrated meticulously, uh…. what part is so hard to believe? gawd sakes.

Sorry folks, but if someone came at me with a box cutter, I’d laugh at them, take the box cutter away from them, and beat the snot out of them for being stupid.
….Nothing Liberal about that, I’m an uber conservative!
:/
As for whether Bush was running around planting bombs in the World Trade Center? No, of course not. In fact, Bush may not have even been privy to it. However, it is well established that there are elements within our govt with an agenda, and even some of our Presidents have said so.
Of course, Bush is certainly complict in turning us over to Mexico…..Nothing “moonbat” about that, it’s happening as we speak!
So is it such a stretch to think Bush, or elements within the Govt, might want to keep Saudi Arabia protected?
Right now, the SPP is in full swing. What is the SPP? A massive beurocratic mess that melts Canada, the USA, & Mexico together. Guess what happens to our soverignty when that happens?
…….Now guess who’s in charge of it? Yep, our elustrious Prez.
Work begins on the massive SPP super highway sometime in 2007…..No moonbat stuff here, it’s real, and it’s coming.
Guess you better work on your Spanish, eh Gringo?
:/
Just a quick review:
1. Where did Wahabbi Islam originate?
…..Saudi Arabia!
2. Who did Osama bin Laden & Saddam hate?
…..Saudi Arabia!
3. What is the only nation on Earth with enough money to fund world-wide terrorism?
…..Saudi Arabia!
4. Where did the terrorists on 9/11 call home?
…..Saudi Arabia!
So! How many bombs did we drop on Saudi Arabia?
…..Not one bomb.
:/
VonHelton on July 11, 2006 at 6:14 AM
fair enough on most of your points.
but i HIGHLY doubt you would be as vigilant as you say when confronted with a hijacker. thats does not come as a personal insult.
suppose they said they had a bomb? what would you have done? there in lies the predicament of the bluff. would you know they are lying or not?
also, back then, standard op. procedure was to DO what the hijackers wanted.
