Bush in fine form here. I skipped the immigration stuff because why spoil the mood?

C’mon Allah you have to post the way he dodges the question on immigration. Just when I can begin to like him he dodges AGAIN.
Larry King couldn’t ask Hitler a tough question, ugh.

Wow, he DID do a good job. If only he would come to his senses on illegal immigration…

I think Larry King has already gone to meet his Maker and this is the Grim Reaper in disguise..I mean LOOK at this guy..YIKES!
As far as the President, he does a good job and I appreciate AP not posting the immigration stuff…would rather think about terrorists *sigh*

That’s some pretty good stuff. I’m glad he asked the question about “if we have stopped anything.” Maybe I don’t read enough of the right places, but I never hear that speculated on. IMHO if the terrorists could have struck again here post-9/11, they would have. I also particularly liked the statement of reality regarding what King was asking him about Lieberman. He was far more at ease than I’ve seen him before.

This is a bit presumptuous. Bush says this as if terrorists were the desired audience for this information. A reading of the NYT story clearly shows that the driving forces of the story are a concern for the law, the Constitution, and a concern that Separation of Powers is being left behind. These are issues that concern American citizens. It would be nice if we could have gotten this information without terrorists getting the information, but that’s just not possible. So a decision was made as to whether the benefit of informing the American public outweighed the risk that this revelation might enable terrorists to better fund their missions. Just because the NYT came to a different decision on that question than Bush doesn’t mean that the negative consequences of their decision were the desired result. Bush keeps saying “it doesn’t make any sense to me”… likely because he’s proposed a ridiculous scenario in which the New York Times wants this country to be attacked.

Nice spin Mark…Howard Dean could use guys like you.
I think it’s in the public’s interest to find out who leaked this classified info to the Times. Then arrest the person and hang them for treason. I know I’m the public and it interests me. After reading the NYT story it clearly states that what was being done was above board and not a concern for the law, the Constitution and a concern for Separation of Power. I understand it makes perfect sense to you why the Times destroyed a proven program that fights the enemy.
But to me they made the wrong decision. I think the bigger story is who is their unnamed source and why would they be against our best interest.

You just gotta love this guy!!

So what was the benefit of informing the public? If you hadn’t known that Bush was using a legal program, authorized by Congress to sucessfully locate, capture and sucessfully hinder the funding of terrorists you might have what? Accidentally voted Republican?
It doesn’t matter what their desired result was, what matters is what the actual result was. I know this is hard for you to grasp, that is why you are a leftist, but the actual result the only thing that matters in the real world and the actual result in this case had to have been obvious to anyone with a clue.

This is not at all presumptuous. Bush statement serves to point out that terrorists are an audience for this information. A reading of the NYT story clearly shows that the driving forces of the story were to prove that they believe their rights obvuscate the right that America has to fight the war declared by Osama during the Cigarman tenure The Constitution is used as a shield by the Times when it suits them, and they are quick to run to international law when it does not.
These are indeed issues that concern American citizens. It is of the utmost importance that this information be withheld from those who believe that anyone with different beliefs must die. The decision was made that the benefit of informing the American public outweighed the risk that this revelation would enable terrorists to better protect the fundings of their missions. Tell that to the families of our dead Heroes.
People whose hatred of Bush causes them to desire America’s loss in this war are more than disgusting. Their actions are life threatening to innocents across the globe. Imho, hate filled liberals need to go see a movie.
