Hillary’s latest batch of emails dropped yesterday with more Top Secret goodness

posted at 2:01 pm on February 14, 2016 by Jazz Shaw

To describe yesterday as a “busy” day would be a bit of an understatement, but there was still news being made on the national front. One big story which got shoved toward the back of the shelf was the fact that yet another set of Hillary Clinton’s emails was released. This batch numbered more than 500, with a full fifteen percent of them being classified at one level or another and three ringing the Top Secret bell. At this point it seems to be developing into a pattern. (Washington Times)

More than 15 percent of the latest batch of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails released Saturday contain classified information, with three of the messages being labeled “secret” — continuing to add to the questions surrounding her email use.

One of the messages is an extensive missive from David Satterfield, a top U.S. diplomat to Egypt, who told top officials in both the White House and State Department about negotiations in the Sinai. The entire contents of the messages are now deemed “secret,” though there is no indication they were marked as such at the time. The message was forwarded to Mrs. Clinton by top aide Jacob Sullivan.

In addition to the three “secret” messages, more than 80 others were marked “confidential” — the lower level of secrecy — and also heavily redacted.

The high percentage of classified material seems to follow the pattern established in the State Department’s excuse as to why we don’t already have the full set. Originally they were scheduled to release everything prior to the Iowa caucuses, but between the snowstorm (*cough*) and bureaucratic failures, we came up thousands of messages short. State still claims that a lot of them could have been processed, but they belatedly discovered they’d forgotten to run all the traps on them. (“Run all the traps” needs to be a t-shirt or a bumper sticker by Monday.)

Still, as I said when this delay was first announced, the waiting game is likely working against Hillary. Right now the news beast is distracted by the nascent fight over replacing Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court, but as time wears on and nothing happens that’s going to calm down. Meanwhile, the rest of the emails will be released on a weekly basis with the last batch coming out on February 29th. Getting the final tranche on Leap Day may be fitting in an ironic way, because they are likely to be the stickiest ones involving the most departments and they will drop literally within 24 hours of Super Tuesday. That should make for an interesting closing argument for Clinton’s campaign as they head into a fight over a massive number of delegates.

Meanwhile, some of the rats seem to be abandoning the ship. As IJ Review reported this weekend, a former intelligence chief for Barack Obama called for Clinton to step down immediately, at least until she can try to clear this cloud from over her head.

Appearing on CNN’s “The Lead” Friday, retired chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency under Barack Obama, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, had some direct words of advice for Hillary Clinton.

After a brief rundown of the charges against Clinton, Flynn told host Jake Tapper that the Democratic candidate needs to step out of the presidential race until the FBI investigation is over:

“In all 50 states, we have Islamic State cases ongoing–and I know the FBI is just overwhelmed with white collar crime, child pornography cases, transnational organized criminal cases…and now we have to put another 100 agents on this case of Hillary Clinton…

Here’s the video of the interview. It’s not terribly long and definitely worth a look for the sheer entertainment value.

Will Hillary take the advice of someone with that much direct experience in the field? Obviously not. But it’s yet another drip in the long trail of this story.

“My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I’m glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know… the remnants of prior situations and mind-sets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture, and we didn’t do that, and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a Major accomplishment.”

All that redacting takes time. Maybe if they hadn’t “saved the best for last”, the workload would’ve been more evenly spread.

I think it’s plainly obvious at this point that Hillary is never going to be held responsible for her corruption. Ever.

What needs to happen is a movement to vote out every single incumbent this election cycle, and the next too. We need to clean out the entire roster of Congress and bring in fresh blood who is not beholden to the Clintons.

Coincidently, that is also the final day of the Democratic Convention, which should mean that Hillary has finally achieved her inevitable coronation. It will also leave a lot of egg on the faces of the DNC and should remain highly entertaining to watch the ensuing implosion over the next three months.

This Clinton crime no treason goes way back.

Bill Richardson as head of Dept. of Energy.

Los Alamos Lab.

A Chinese citizen working on nuke bombs and how to make them small.

Top, Top secret.

He transfers the data on how to make nukes small from the top secret system inside Los Alamos Lab to the public internet system, then to himself on a non protected private server at home.

Same people, same methods, same results, same evil.

See New York Times article March 6, 1999 by James Risen and Jeff Gerth
Title :” Breach at Los Alamos a special repot: China Stole nuclear Secrets for Bombs”

Other reports from people in the know during Clinton/Richardson time, that two people from the Chinese embassy in Los Angles who were not to be more than 30 miles from the embassy were found at the back gate of Los Alamos in with a rent car at 2:00 in the moring. The same time a CD went missing from the Lab with data on missile tech on our intercontinental missiles.

The Clintons, Kerry and for sure Obama do treason.

I get it, but my concern is that when discussing exactly what Hillary has done wrong here, I think it is important that we understand the facts and get them right. In this sort of story, anything inaccurate in a story makes the entire story false in the minds of someone who doesn’t want to believe it in the first place.

When you have a headlline being shared on social media claiming three more Top Secret emails were found, and it’s not actually true, it hurts the argument.

This story would not have been any less important if the tag on the front page said “more classified goodies” instead of more top secret goodies’ –

This story, on face value, is false, even though the truth would have been just as powerful. Im just saying we need to get our facts straight and not damage our own credibility by using hyperbole in headlines.

MJBrutus on February 14, 2016 at 2:22 PM

FNC has reported that the FBI has recovered some data that was previously deleted. What they’ve recovered or how much they’ve recovered will probably not be known until the investigation concludes because of what’s known as Exemption 7(A)of the FOIA law. 7(A) generally allows law enforcement to (temporarily) withhold information in ongoing criminal investigations.

I suspect that as damaging as what wasn’t deleted has been, what has been deleted is even worse and may in fact be what’s the focus of investigation particularly if the rumor of 100 agents is even close to accurate.

You “responded” by citing the Minimum Age Requirement for Presidential candidates set out by the US Constitution, an admission that she had none.

More recently, in fact just the other night in the debate, Hillario! stated as Fact that she was “the most qualified candidate to be President”. I wasn’t watching that debate, I just heard this sound bite.

Care to give that question another throw? Or at least enlighten us as to exactly what “qualifications” she named the other night after she uttered that Lie?

For the legal beagles concerned with classification “levels”..

Two points:
1 Hillary doesn’t shive a git because she knows there are no consequences REGARDLESS of level of classification. Arrogance does that to people.
2 Because the fix in in with the bureaucracies beholden to the Democratic party such as the FBI. Their very jobs depend on covering up for and protecting their benefactors.

Of course Hilly Clinton should withdraw from the race. It may come to that if the FBI gives her an offer she cannot refuse: either a criminal referral to DOJ or she falls on her sword. This cuts the head of the DOJ snake we have today.

BTW, I’d like to see the DOJ, FBI, and such under the Supreme Court instead of under the Executive Branch. Yes, I understand why it’s the way it is, but we have let the DOJ become so political that some kind of check is needed. Perhaps a special prosecutor under the Supreme Count. Maybe just have the Attorney General under an Attorney Summa?

This question has been raised before on Hot Air. Several days ago some one, wish I could remember who, came up with a very good and very workable answer. If Three Quarters (or any percentage you wish) of the states voted on, and requested a special prosecutor then a special prosecutor would be appointed. This would force the Federals hand and keep it out of the political insiders control.
