Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

posted at 8:01 am on May 24, 2015 by Allahpundit

Looks like the Sunday shows are taking the holiday weekend off too, sort of. The star guest: HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who’s done next to nothing in politics yet remains the odds-on favorite by dint of his age and race to end up one heartbeat away from the most powerful office in the world come 2017. He’ll be on “State of the Union” to share his thoughts on whatever. Meanwhile, across the dial on “This Week,” a former nine-term congressman and current sitting governor of Ohio, John Kasich, will discuss his longshot bid for the White House. Given Hillary’s age and rumored health issues, who’s more likely to be president circa 2022? Kasich or Castro?

Elsewhere, a guy who’s less likely to be president than either of them will explain why Republicans should speak up on behalf of a man who just copped to molesting his sisters as a teenager. Mike Huckabee is Chris Wallace’s guest on “Fox News Sunday.” The full line-up is at the AP.

Simplify the format for these shows. Combine them all into one show with one panel of questioners.
Bring Hillary on and have the questioners wash and kiss her cankles.
Then bring all the Republicans on at once and pelt them with eggs and rotten fruit.
After all, why bother with pretenses?

Welcome to the DNC Media Propaganda Hour, kids! Here is the Sunday Morning guest list, brought to you by the almost monolithically liberal political news media in their continuing propaganda effort to advance the agenda of the left.

Format: Name – Label – Heritage Action Scorecard lifetime voting score (if applicable)

Let’s have a gander:

ABC’s “This Week”
John Kasich – RINO – N/A
Keith Ellison – Islamist Vermin/Liberal – Lifetime 10%

No conservative opinions here.

NBC’s “Meet the Press”
Pre-empted by coverage of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Earning NBC their best score Year-to-Date: N/A

CBS’ “Face the Nation”
John McCain – RINO – Lifetime 65%
Adam Schiff – Kook Left – Lifetime 12%

Add Kasich and McCain together, does it equal 1 conservative? Work with me here!

CNN’s “State of the Union”
Julian Castro – Kook Left/Race Victim – N/A (talentless Mexican nitwit)
Adam Kinzinger – RINO Scum – Lifetime 50%
Tulsi Gabbard – Semi-hot Veteran Liberal – alas…Lifetime 9%
Defense Secretary Ass Carter – N/A (but liberal ass clown, make no mistake)

Nothing even remotely like a conservative here. Add Kinzinger to Kasich and McCain, and …?

“Fox News Sunday”
Mike Huckabee – RINO Social Con – N/A
John Bolton – Conservative/NeoCon – N/A

Fox airs the only thing close to the opinions held by half of America. Shocka. This lineup is a complete effing mess.

Wouldn’t you think that you could scrape up a potential Republican candidate for POTUS to try to humiliate?

You’d think they’d be wanting to do that so they can try to provoke an Aiken response from each of them on the John Duggar incest-molestation revelation.

Which is why I despise fakes like Mike Huckbee, he’s the whole reason why this is going to happen. Hopefully Jeb fumbles it big time. He has been proving to be about as adroit a campaigner as Hilldabeast hasn’t he?

Castro might be the only politician with LESS experience than dear leader….in other words, he is the perfect choice. Birth canal/ latino peni$ 2016.

Oh heck, even I can do that: witch hunts over the offenses of teenagers from more than a decade ago long since settled ain’t pretty.

I still think the biggest scandal of the Clinton Foundation has yet to be discovered and it will be it’s use as a bribe fund to keep candidates like Warren, Booker, Patrick OUT of the Democrat Primary. IE: to prevent Her Thighness from getting “Obamaed” again.

Because there can be no other reason why those people are conspicuously OUT of this race right now. Democrats are as programmed to seek POWER as they are to breathe. And she’s the most vulnerable “presumptive” nominee I’ve ever seen, only rivaled by Jebbie “you better just get over it because hate me or not I *AM* going to be the nominee”.

I agree the biggest scandal of the CF has yet to be discovered, and maybe there is some sort of “bribe fund” but they may not be the same thing. I don’t know why Booker and Patrick are not running, but it did seem strange that Warren isn’t, she’s the one with the Dems best shot. However, when I asked my uber-lib brother about this a couple of months ago, he said flat out “no way will she run.” He is a huge Warren fan, lives near her in Cambridge, and has attended many fundraisers for her. He says she is a “one-issue” politician – the banks – and has no interest at all in foreign affairs.

I wouldn’t say it’s a “witch hunt” in the sense that Huckabee got the ball rolling himself by posting a Facebook note about it.

I don’t recall anyone in the media asking for Huckabee’s opinion on the Duggar story.

I find it distasteful that Huckabee is diminishing what Josh Duggar did (child abuse) and what the Duggar family did (cover up the abuse, then go on a TV show, Josh worked for a family values organization).

What Josh Duggar did 12 years ago still matters. Here’s why.
