Hillary continues to do and say nothing as unfavorables tick up

Hillary Clinton has taken no public position on the trade promotion authority bill everyone in Washington is talking about, and which has thrown Democrats into such paroxysms of back-stabbiness that even the Washington Post has compared their infighting to that of, gasp!, Republicans.
Can we imagine for a moment a Republican attempting to run for office just not taking a position on such a large issue? Such a candidate would be mocked within an inch of his or her life. Hell, they all have to positions on attendance at hypothetical gay weddings and the hypothetical catering thereof.
Mark Halperin and that other guy whose name starts with H on Bloomberg called it a “lack of leadership,” but also posit it’s smart politics for her to stay out of it. Sure it is, but only because no aggressive, hostile press corps is pressing her people on it every second of every day until she makes herself or her opinion available, as would certainly be the case if she were a Republican. And, that’s fair. It shouldn’t make for good politics to completely avoid taking a position on an issue of importance because the press should beat you with your “lack of leadership” until you say something.
Somebody’s afraid of Warren and the Washington Post took her to task for her transparency:
Ms. Clinton’s dash for the tall grass is transparently inconsistent with the position she embraced as Mr. Obama’s secretary of state. “Our hope is that a TPP agreement with high standards can serve as a benchmark for future agreements — and grow to serve as a platform for broader regional interaction and eventually a free trade area of the Asia-Pacific,” she wrote in an October 2011 cover story for Foreign Policy magazine. Indeed, given this well-known record, her avoidance now rather insults the electorate’s intelligence.
With the president’s agenda embattled in the Senate, this would be a good time for Ms. Clinton to abandon her political caution and speak up for what she said so recently were her principles. In refusing to take a stand, Ms. Clinton is not only abandoning the president she once served but also missing an opportunity to help define the values of the party she would lead in November 2016.
Meanwhile un-running for president might not be all it’s cracked up to be if Gallup numbers are any indication. The needle, it moves:
PRINCETON, N.J. — Hillary Clinton’s favorable rating from the American people has been steady — near 50% — all spring, but her unfavorable rating has inched higher and is now 46%, up from 39% in March. At the same time, the percentage of Americans with no impression of the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state has gone down.
The last three months have been an important time for Clinton. Since officially launching her presidential campaign in mid-April, she has been deflecting criticism of her exclusive use of a private email address while secretary of state, and more recently, partisan charges of possible conflicts of interest stemming from the Clinton Foundation’s reliance on foreign donors. Separately, Clinton is scheduled to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi next week.
Actually, she probably won’t even do that.

The Democrats are going to nominate a corrupt 67-year-old with enough baggage to fill a 747. And there is no other alternative. HAH!

Yeah, see, that’s just it. The people who make up the electorate that is either already supporting Hillary Clinton or contemplating voting for Hillary Clinton don’t have much intelligence. If they did, Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be anything close to a serious contender for US Presidency.
I guess the irony here is that Hillary probably realizes the lack of morals and intelligence within the electorate supporting her, which is precisely why she behaves this way and gets away with it (because the electorate is too stupid to notice it’s being hoodwinked, or they know and just don’t care so long as a Democrat wins in 2016).
Again, that’s the problem. Hillary Clinton abandoning her “political caution” would be Hillary Clinton abandoning her principles. Because Hillary Clinton has no political principles, at least not the ones you or I would call “principles” (in the sense of decent morals, which Hillary certainly does not possess). You guys at the WaPo have this backwards, and have seemingly had this backwards for many, many years.
Hillary Clinton could not care less about sticking up for the President with whom she served, as this was the SecState who kept a private server and private email accounts probably, in part, to shield sensitive information from Team Obama, including her boss, the President. The party is also not important to Hillary. As others here have mentioned, the party is practically stuck with Hillary.
If everything up until this point has not caused a significant dent in Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign — to the extent that she’s seriously in danger of imploding at any moment — absolutely nothing will. Not even the upcoming Benghazi hearings, which anti-Hillary liberals will excuse anyway, since they’ll be focused on defending Obama and attacking conservatives who’ve long criticized Hillary’s role in the terrorist attack of 9/11/2012.
Democrats and liberals are complicit in Hillary’s corruption, not to mention there are already way too many low-information voters who either (a) only know of “Clinton nostalgia” from the 90’s, (b) don’t care about the Clinton scandals, (c) will swallow them just to keep a Republican out of the White House, or (d) some combination of the above.

She did not get in trouble for using her own private e-mail address (just putting it in those terms makes it seem so innocuous); she got in trouble for using her own private e-mail server which was unsecured and easily hackable despite the fact that it contained top secret state secrets for which there was no oversight and no backup and for felonious deleting of the majority of the e-mails despite the law and several lawsuits and several freedom of information requests regarding those e-mails. That is what she did. The line in the article makes it sound as if she simply used the wrong e-mail address. I hate the mainstream media. Sigh.

Her ratings went into significant decline at the ed of 2012 beginning of 2013. Feb 1 2013 was when she left public office and wan making less public statements. This is merely a correlation, it may not be a cause but it runs directly contrary to your claim.

Since leaving office and engaging the political arena as the annointed Democrat nominee, her unfavorables have risen steadily until they are up to 47.3 percent today.

Once Hillary is sworn in as President, she will immediately issue a blanket-pardon on both herself and her husband. This will instantly stop all prosecution on both the e-mail scam and the illegal foreign-money being funneled into the Clinton Foundation. Since there will be new female employees working inside the White House, a large sum of money should be set aside for “payoff” just in case some of them should start filing sexual-assault charges against her husband.

I have heard “scuttlebutt” that Hillary will assign a six-man Seal-Team who will watch over her husband 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These men will be fully armed and will prowl the White House hallways and Oval-Office. Thanks to the ramrod discipline imposed by Hillary Clinton, there will be no more Bimbo-Eruptions taking place inside the Presidential residence.(It would probably be a good idea if Bill was required to wear a policeman’s chest camera.
