TEMS Thursday: Duane Patterson, Katie Pavlich, Adam Baldwin & GamerGate

posted at 2:31 pm on September 4, 2014 by Ed Morrissey

Today on The Ed Morrissey Show (4 pm ET), we have another great lineup for the news of the day!

  • Duane “Generalissimo” Patterson brings us up to date on the week’s top stories and gives us a preview of tonight’s Hugh Hewitt show.
  • Katie Pavlich, author of Assault and Flattery, discusses her recent trip to Israel and the experience of traveling through the nation during a war.
  • Adam Baldwin, star of TNT’s new series The Last Ship, joins a roundtable discussion of GamerGate and media ethics that will include Internet Aristocrat, a gaming activist, Townhall managing editor Kevin Glass, and plenty of discussion in our chat room. We have sent out invitations to other activists and journalists in the gaming industry, but have had no response to those inquiries. This should be a barn-burner of a discussion, so don’t miss it!
  • We will post the recording of this show in this post, as we do with all TEMS episodes.

The Ed Morrissey Show and its dynamic chatroom can be seen on the permanent TEMS page. Be sure to join us, and don’t forget to keep up with the debate on my Facebook page, too!

I love that none of the pretentious social justice warrior betas of videogame journalism are willing to talk about this with people who disagree with them.

Ask him why the one person that died from the vaccine trial wasn’t wearing a red shirt! That would have been perfect…the other 5 in the trials we knew about/they had a back story. She was just plucked out of the ether to go into a plastic tent to die.

It’s been very surreal fighting in the twitter depths of gamergate, only to hear this morning that a discussion about it was coming to one of my favorite websites. Great show tonight, hoping the recording goes up soon so I can share it.

Ha, a red shirt would have been so funny. I really enjoyed the series, but I kept thinking the skipper was making the same mistake Captain Kirk used to always make, going ashore and bringing his second in command with him too.

Who doesn’t love Adam Baldwin? It goes without saying here, but I’m saying it anyway.

.
That one is my least favorite episode of the series, but bringing to memory that song, is still funny … : )
