Constitutional law professor on separation of powers: “Stop hatin’ all the time”

posted at 3:21 pm on July 30, 2014 by Allahpundit

It is indeed “hatin’,” not “hating,” as both CNN and ABC note, and that’s deliberate. His strategy in answering the GOP’s lawsuit in the court of public opinion is cynical and brilliant: He’s going to laugh the whole thing off as highfalutin nonsense, something the average joe shouldn’t spend two seconds thinking about. Obama the Harvard Law grad knows how significant the underlying separation-of-powers issues are and how weak his case is on the merits. So Obama the politician is going to reassure low-information voters who lack basic civics that the whole thing is basically a goof. That’s where the use of vernacular comes in — he’s as befuddled by this constitutional folderol as you are, America. It’s just “hatin’.” Needless to say, had George Bush responded to liberal worries about presidential signing statements by jovially accusing them of “hatin’,” the media would have dumped in its pants. MSNBC hosts would be demanding his resignation for treating matters of grave constitutional concern so dismissively and lefty bloggers would be wondering if Bush wasn’t showing symptoms of being a “dry drunk” in laughing off something this serious. As it is, hackery will prevail.

I’ve gotta say, pessimist though I am, I thought the public would be a harder sell on transitioning to a system of government by executive decree than telling them that the opposition’s just “hatin’” and don’t you worry your pretty heads about the details. Evidently it’s time to lower the bar of expectations once again. Here’s today’s clip followed by a blast from the past (2008) back when Obama thought checks and balances meant more than Congress “being mad.”

I watched archived footage of Martin Luther King on Meet the Press last night. I was struck how intellectual and in depth the interview was. MLK answered in a smart, insightful manner. The interviewers asked tough questions. I couldn’t imagine a smart interview occurring on Meet the Press today. The shallowness of our political discourse.

Politicians speak to the American people as if we were idiots. And honestly both sides do it.

40 years of federal government, unions, and leftist academics steadily increasing their influence and control over education at all levels has given us an electorate nearly completely ignorant in the essentials of our form of government and of basic economics. They are parasitic drones.

Until we are willing to address that problem, things will continue to deteriorate. Republicans will be elected from time to time to clean up messes, but the public is too much addicted to the pork gravy to allow what truly needs to be done.

There are a lot of people Obama can talk to who will just shake their heads yes to what he’s saying. I’m sure there are people out there who believe, “if what Obama was doing was really unconstitutional, the Democrats would join the Republicans and protect the country.” Little do they suspect the Democrats have no love for the constitution and the sooner they can get rid of it, or change it so suit their desires, the better.

But he won’t because he seems to believe that being an imperialist wacko makes him the perfect President. For a narcissist like Obama, everybody else has to be the problem, because it is not possible in his mind that he could be in any way wrong about any thing.

In his one-dimensional world of reasoning, the only basis for people being critical of him has to be that the critics must be terribly flawed, ignorant, hateful, racist, etc.

Obama was a “guest lecturer” not a professor, and for the one class he taught, he read the notes that Bernardine Dohrn (Bill Ayers’ wife) had prepared for him to read.

The great cole slaw conspiracy was my favorite part of the speech. He was choomed and had the munchies for some slaw.

Obama took the stage at 11:06 a.m. and referenced his dinner at Bryant’s and that he tried to order cole slaw as a side, but the restaurant was out of it.

“They had run out of cole slaw, which I asked, ‘Did you save some cole slaw for me?’ They said, ‘No.’ They hadn’t saved any for me,” Obama said.

At one minute in, Dr. Obama gives “bend your knees” advice. After that he goes all Queeg about the cole slaw. Then he gets heckled, says he believes in God. At the 2:00 mark, the creepy chanting begins.

It’s typical to denigrate something by mispronouncing it or shortening its pronunciation:

Negro — n!gger

He’s plagiarizing again. That line is word-for-word from a dKos post by (ahem) MinistryOfTruth, aka Jesse LaGreca. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/07/30/1317750/-Obama-has-rope-a-doped-these-GOP-clowns-hard?detail=email

Or he is Jesse LaGreca.

He really is the world’s biggest jackass. Is he not?

Why do people insist on calling him a ‘Constitutional Law Professor’ when his actual title (if you can call it that) was ‘Visiting Lecturer’ in a class called “Rights, Race and Gender.” That’s the same title universities use to allow actors, terrorists and journalists to get a check for indoctrinating teaching a class when they don’t have the credentials to actually teach.

Didn’t watch the clip.

Did he rub his eye with the F You finger cleverly extended?

Did he reference Sarah Palin with a thinly veiled “lipstick on a pig” comment?

“… That’s where the use of vernacular comes in — he’s as befuddled by this constitutional folderol as you are, America. It’s just “hatin’.” Needless to say, had George Bush responded to liberal worries about presidential signing statements by jovially accusing them of “hatin’,” the media would have dumped in its pants. MSNBC hosts would be demanding his resignation for treating matters of grave constitutional concern so dismissively and lefty bloggers would be wondering if Bush wasn’t showing symptoms of being a “dry drunk” in laughing off something this serious.”

Thanks Allah! The fact that there are is a HUGE crowd of sycophants in the background (and in the media) just yucking it up and applauding is terrifying to me.
What scares me even more is the Obama-White House and the Democrats in congress throwing around the idea of impeachment. It seems that they are getting ready to drop a bomb on our Constitution and take our Republic to the brink of disaster and daring Republicans in the House or Senate to do anything about it.

That the Republicans are running like scalded dogs should make every American very afraid.
