Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

posted at 8:01 am on July 27, 2014 by Allahpundit

In a week full of foreign crises, from MH17 fallout in Ukraine to Israel’s operations in Gaza, it’s domestic policy that leads the Sunday shows. Paul Ryan gets top billing on “Meet the Press” to discuss his paternalistic/compassionate new anti-poverty plan while John Cornyn and Henry Cuellar get quizzed on “This Week” about their bill to speed up deportations of illegal immigrant children. Nancy Pelosi will also talk immigration on “State of the Union,” specifically to remind America’s Christians that Moses and Jesus were refugees too.

If domestic policy doesn’t grab you, Israel’s ambassador to the UN will be on “Fox New Sunday” to preview the next stage of the Gaza war. The full line-up is at Politico.

Paul Ryan on poverty? How about Paul Ryan on amnesty!

Joseph K on July 27, 2014 at 9:48 AM

Yup. Allah keeps throwing out polls showing that Ryan is still on the radar, somehow, but imo he’s toast. When us anti-amnesty conservatives bring his (singed) name into border assault news once again, the low information voters will be reminded of Ryan’s RINOness.

My solution: send all of Moochelle’s school lunch police and bake sale monitors to the border.

Problem solved overnight (plus we get to eat cake and brownies again!).

However, I have to disagree with her on helping the communist base by impeaching the fundraiser-in-chief.
It’s a stupid move by the stupid party that always pleases the hard left by stealing defeat out of the jaws of victory time and again. It’s just when they need.
This is all about the 2014 elections.

This is what happens when you swallow the koolaid fed to you by folks who have an agenda.

1. Who said it had to happen before November?
2. Where is it written(other than on message boards by concern trolls) that ONLY democrats can be motivated by and benefit from
impeachment? Can that crystal ball of yours give me the winning lottery numbers for next week as well?

It’s funny that you brought up amnesty, because the same people who are telling you impeachment will doom us are the same people telling us we’re doomed if we don’t pass amnesty, lol.

So in other words if you vote to impeach ozero after Nov.,a vote that you already know we will lose if you have half a brain which is questionable, you are perfectly willing to sabotage the 2016 election rather than 2014. Interesting, not my cup of tea but interesting.
Sorry Jack but no one tells me what to think I make up my own mind. You should try it yourself sometime.

Actually the Central American kids, their welfare, whether they are sick, raped, body parts cut off, all of that is one of the biggest smoke screens ever created by the Obama regime. What is really going on has been exposed by Zack Taylor a former border patrol agent who really knows his stuff.
His statements about asymmetircal warfare are below.

Er, no. Their party is wrong. Our party is right.

That’s why things are working so well for this country.

It’ll never happen, but folks need to realize that these criminals in both parties are out for themselves. At the very least, they’ll be voted back in less often, but that’s not going to happen.

The sad thing is that these politicians have accrued so much power that they actually can screw up our economy. Neither party has ever had the power to make the economy better…that’s the BS they feed us while they’re trying to get elected. And…pork goes a long way to making it seem Sen. or Rep. Joe Blow is doing great things economically.

Anyone else notice how pork is hardly even talked about anymore?

Turkey joins fight. aka another country wants to get its ask kicked:

Amid Israel’s Operation Protective Edge to stop Hamas rocket fire from Gaza, a “Freedom Flotilla” was being organized in Turkey to bring humanitarian aid to the Hamas controlled Palestinian coastal enclave.

The flotilla being organized, called the “Freedom Flotilla II,” is the successor of the Mavi Marmara flotilla that sought to break Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip in May 2010.

The new flotilla is being organized by the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief” (Insani Yardim Vakfi), otherwise known as the IHH, the same organization behind the Mavi Marmara ship, which Israel Navy commandos boarded, killing nine aboard who attacked them.

Israel and the US have both labelled the IHH a terrorist organization.

Bad For Amnesty RINOS – Hot Air Pretty Much Ignoring Border Crisis

You know what is Hot News at Hot Air today? The border crisis? Nope! It is a puff piece on a meaningly poll saying Romney would beat Obama if the election was held again today.

It would be laughable if it wasn’t so disgusting. I don’t know why they are so jazzed about it, hell OJ Simpson would beat Obama right now, as his disaster stands. And did you notice how they completely glossed over the fact that the same poll says that Romney would get crushed by Hillary?

It’s probably too late to post this link, but Brooks certainly is stupid, as well as effete.

Meet the Depressed, indeed.
