Florida dad beats the living hell out of man who allegedly sexually assaulted his son, then calls the cops

posted at 2:41 pm on July 18, 2014 by Allahpundit

Just passing this along for your edification via Twitter, where people are sharing the link and many virtual high-fives. I use the word “allegedly” in the headline loosely because, per the report, the accused molester ‘fessed up after the cops were done peeling him off the floor.

Reminds me of a similar story from Texas two years ago about a dad who caught some degenerate molesting his little girl and beat him literally to death. He was remorseful; the dad in today’s story is … less so.

Asked if any weapons were involved, the father said “my foot and my fist.”…

The child told investigators that he was playing video games with friends but after the friends left, Frolander asked the boy to sit in his lap and then took him to a back room, the report said.

Frolander then pulled the boy’s pants down and started sexually battering him, the boy told police, adding that Frolander had been abusing him since he was 8 years old, investigators said…

“He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said,” the father said. “I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.”

“You are damn lucky boy that I love my God,” the man said on the telephone to 9-1-1.

“I’m guilty,” said Frolander when questioned by police, according to the arrest affidavit. The boy’s father hasn’t been charged — but could he be? Here’s what Florida law says about using force when coming to the defense of another person:

776.012 Use of force in defense of person.—A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:

(1) He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony; or

(2) Under those circumstances permitted pursuant to s. 776.013.

The particulars of the law don’t much matter — no jury in America is going to convict the dad, especially since he stopped short of killing the perp — but obviously he qualifies for this defense. All he has to do is show that he “reasonably believed” he needed to use force to stop the attack; given that a rapist caught in the act and facing a loooong sentence is apt to be desperate and behave unpredictably, no one’s seriously going to dispute that force was necessary to neutralize him. If the dad had gone apesh*t and continued beating the guy even after he was out cold, to the point where he actually killed him, a prosecutor might have toyed (briefly) with a voluntary manslaughter charge. But c’mon: Who’s going to convict a parent for being overzealous in protecting their child from a predator caught in the act? Dad could have tossed this guy off a building “Untouchables”-style and people would be talking about him as a third-party candidate for mayor. When you walk in on your kid being raped, you get the benefit of the doubt.

Is Dad black? Because if not he’s prosecutable under St. Skittles of Hoodie et al., you racists. And haters, since the Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name in 2014 will be found to be a constitutional right when age of consent laws are struck down by the Liz Warren SCOTUS in 2024.

My sister’s boss tried raping her when she was seventeen, but she had grown up with seven brothers in the house so she fended the creep off and got away. Didn’t stop my dad, uncle and older brothers from finding him and beating him to a pulp and leaving him in a ditch. Never heard from him again…

You obviously are too dumb to use a computer so I assume there is an adult there helping you. How many innocent men are you personally willing to send to jail and/or butcher’s table to administer the punishment that satisfies your sense of righteousness in the cases where the man actually deserves the punishment? Is 50% a good ratio for you?

Women are in fact raped, and the punishment should be more severe. A lot of times it isn’t just the presence of $emen that backs up the claim. There are tears and abrasions. Are there some false allegations, sure. There are some innocent men who go to jail for murder. That doesn’t mean we don’t prosecute murder to the fullest extent of the law though.

Furthermore, false allegations are IRRELEVANT to this case. The victim was ELEVEN years old, and the Father caught the perp in the act. Not only that, but the perp admitted he was guilty.

ladyingray on July 18, 2014 at 6:15 PM

He didn’t assert. He asked.

Since the number of gays is about 3%, and since it’s well known that many abusers were themselves abused, and that many gays had sexual encounters when they were young, the question is not that unreasonable. I suspect a great many gays had their innocence corrupted when they were younger. In fact, I strongly suspect many were introduced to sexual subjects when they were too young to have developed normal attractions to girls.

At any rate, homosexuality as behavior is not owed any particular deference. It’s inherently abnormal, and a sign that something went wrong, regardless of where you think it went wrong.

JetBoy on July 18, 2014 at 7:59 PM

Sure there is. Most people aren’t born gay, they’re sucked into it.

Freudian slip full-on triple axle?

I’m pretty sure JohnBrown’s comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

RINO in Name Only on July 18, 2014 at 7:59 PM

Intrusion? Oh please. Just stop.

JetBoy openly admits his sexual dysfunction: which is his irresistible obsession with the human sewer-hole.

Now what possible “intrusion” on my part could ever be more inappropriate than that degenerate admission?

Augustinian on July 18, 2014 at 6:14 PM

Openly admitting to being in the throes of this perversion does not mean that we have the right to assume and/or infer that the pervert became that way via the means you claimed.

All I said was that JetBoy was being civil in this discussion this time. I vehemently reject the homosexual lifestyle choice, and I find it very difficult to engage them in discussions, as most are militant gays like libsreamandlie.

I ma simply offering an opinion, sir, and you are the poster with all of the venom, crude references and anger towards all.

And I do not care what your background was or what you lived through either. We all have a past. We all have our demons.

Your anger is misplaced, in my OPINION…Sorry if my thoughts upset you. Go in peace…

Then again, your differences are none of my business, so I’ll simply pray for the both of you.

I have a background of intense debate with JetBoy. Our points of contention are ongoing.

And there is valid statistical evidence that correlates childhood molestation with later adult same-sex tendencies. And if anything, it would lead to a more sympathetic cause and effect for an openly gay-person.

I would suggest you search your own soul and find the source of your own over-the-top righteous indignation over the mere thought of my supposition.

Now go in peace and “do not pronounce judgement before the time”.

Way to many of the youth of America need a man like this as their father.

I agree. I think the problem is we complain how gays don’t call out other gays when they sue Christians etc.. I don’t know why any gays would be a conservative ally when they are called pervert, deviant etc. I think people like Jetboy who have a lot of Conservative political bend can be an ally, and with the leftist expansion in this country; conservatives are going to need all the allies they can get. And I too have had some disagreements with Jet..

I, too have engaged with JetBoy quite intensely. You and I actually agree on the issue.

I search my soul daily, if not more often, sir. As I said, we all have our pasts, and we all have our demons. I am neither righteous nor indignant. I merely objected to your viciousness towards JetBoy and others. The source for this is in the Bible that I read daily.

Finally, I do not judge anyone. I make judgments about behavior and rhetoric, but judging people is, as you know, the province of the Lord..not me, nor you, nor JetBoy.

bimmcorp on July 18, 2014 at 8:21 PM

I guess you missed when JetBoy accused me, on more than one occasion, of being a closeted homosexual. Or his endless ad hominem attacks on those who value traditional marriage.

Or maybe your outrage is quite, umm…, selective.

Rebar on July 18, 2014 at 7:04 PM

My original comment was not directed at you – I was lamenting another poster’s choice of crude language. I’ve disagreed with JetBoy on a number of threads; I’ve not been subject to attacks.

Finally, I think you might have meant those who exclusively value traditional marriage. I think JetBoy and others value traditional marriage, as well as gay marriage.

On the contrary, I don’t know how any Conservative could view the gay lifestyle (an unnatural sexual obsession with the penetration of the descending colon) as anything other than a perversion.

There are a lot of gay couples that I know who have been monogamous as long as my husband and I (20+) years. My cousin and his partner have all the conservative views; they just love someone of the same sex. I see nothing productive by shunning political allies because of what they do in their private bedroom. Not all gays are “rainbow pride” and chaps. Many of them are just regular couples who want to live their lives, pay their taxes, and live without government intrusion.

We will just have to disagree on this.

Ask JetBoy about me, Augustinian. I guess I am just on my good behavior here today. I normally have little patience nor empathy for the homosexual community.

I simply do not care what they do in the privacy of their own homes, but I get intensely enraged when my nose and the noses of my grandchildren gets rubbed in it.

This quote speaks right to my very heart, my friend. As a newly saved Christian, I am consumed with doubts regarding my faith. Hence, my passion for reading and researching scripture…

Thanks for sharing with me…

Actually all I’ve ever gotten from you is dishonesty and obfuscation. And the other commenters will let you slide by – I won’t. Especially when you start bastardizing the immutable Truths of the Catholic faith in an effort to foster a moral rationalization for your perverse desires.

When it comes to the moral rationalization of homosexuality – no, I won’t listen.

melle1228 on July 18, 2014 at 8:29 PM

So there are some nice perverts. Yeah. I know some too.

As far as the monogamous ones – they’re rare, but I have no qualms with them.

But why should I be stifled on an objectively unnatural and immoral lifestyle that is currently assaulting the religious liberties of this nation and further destroying the basic moral fabric of our society just to pacify some of the nice ones? Their lifestyle is still perverse.

Should I also be quiet with the “Conservatives” who are in favor of pederasty and incest when those perversions inevitably become normalized?

Conservatism. I don’t think that word means what you think it means.

See, this was the thing I alluded to earlier; you could choose different words.

AND

I’m quite certain that there are other sexual acts in the homosexual pantheon (as there are in straight sex.)

AND

The act you so coarsely describe is also practiced by some hetero couples.

AND

What of love, outside of sex? Is a same-sex-but-celibate couple OK?
