Bad news: Hillary deeply disturbed that Supreme Court upheld statute signed into law by her husband

posted at 8:11 pm on June 30, 2014 by Allahpundit

Thanks to AG Conservative for that headline. First “don’t ask, don’t tell,” then DOMA, now RFRA: Precisely how many statutes signed by Bill Clinton are the Clintons currently horrified by?

It’ll be fun during President Hillary’s administration to try to identify the various laws that Senator Chelsea will be forced to repudiate circa 2036.

Part of the reason I was so adamant about including women and girls in our foreign policy, not as a luxury but as a central issue is because they’re often the canaries in the mine,” Clinton said. “You watch women and girls being deprived of their rights, some of them never have them, some of them lose them. Among those rights is control over their body’s, control over their own health care, control over the size of their families. It is a disturbing trend that you see in a lot of societies that are very unstable, anti-democratic, and frankly prone to extremism. Where women and women’s bodies are used as the defining and unifying issue to bring together people – men – to get them to behave in ways that are disadvantageous to women but which prop up them because of their religion, their sect, their tribe, whatever. So to introduce this element into our society…it’s very troubling that a salesclerk at Hobby Lobby who needs contraception, which is pretty expensive, is not going to get that service through her employer’s health care plan because her employer doesn’t think she should be using contraception.

I knew the Democratic nominee-in-waiting was going to lay it on with a trowel — hot-button SCOTUS case tailor-made for corporation-bashing and “war on women” crap? — but good lord. She’s an inch away here from comparing the Roberts Court to the Taliban. Lying about Hobby Lobby’s willingness to cover contraception is a nice touch too. When you’ve built up a narrative head of steam like she has here, there’s no sense letting facts derail it.

By the way, since Hillary and, presumably, Bill are so mortified to find that closely held corporations count as “persons” for purposes of RFRA, I’m curious: Did either of them demand any clarification of who’d be covered by the statute before Bill signed it in 1993? You would think the Smartest Woman In The World, who hates corporations every bit as much as Elizabeth Warren when she’s not busy hitting them up for contributions, would have flagged that potential wrinkle before Bill made it the law of the land. Huh. Click the image to watch.

There is nothing in Hillary’s stint as SoS that did anything to advance the rights of women in these areas. She is basically pointing out another avenue of foreign policy failure. She says it was a “central issue” of her foreign policy and she did nothing.

Should I tell her that the employees at Hobby Lobby AT A MINIMUM make $14 an hour or should I?

Hillary is a Progressive. A citizen is just a spoke in the wheel of society and the “Greater Good” is paramount.
Our Founders had a different view and wanted individual liberty for all. They knew that greed, power, ambition are what drives people to subject others. Been that way since Adam and ain’t going to change. Hillary is a great example of the kind of people our Constitution and Declartion of Indepence protect us from.

Um, what? What planet are you on? If you can’t afford $9 you should not be having sex. Behave responsibly.

This is the biggest problem I have with the left. They tell so many lies to get where they want to go. Hillary is either a lier or stupid.

HRC, you old cow. That clerk at Hobby lobby can use any number of contraceptives. Hobby Lobby doesn’t want to be complicit in the death of conceived child. You either know this and are lying about it, or you are stupid, in which case please quit running for President.

The President of the United States of America in 1983 was against the United States Government promoting immorality.

The President of the United States of America in 2014 is promoting immoral behavior and individual irresponsibility…and is expecting taxpayers to pay for it.

HOW IS THIS “PROGRESS”?

Shuddup and sit down, Hillary.

because her employer doesn’t think she should be using contraception.

So if you don’t feel like paying for something for someone else, it’s the same as thinking they shouldn’t be using it. Got it.

If I chose to embrace my heritage and worship the god Anu, now my employee healthcare place won’t cover ‘eye of newt’ and ‘bat wing’?

Help, I’m being repressed!

The women in my family are more than “canaries in the mine”.

They are also insulted by Democrats treatment of them as some type of dull-witted commodity solely inspired by politically crafted pathos arguments which they are simply, lost in their emotion, allegedly unable to intellectually navigate towards the truth.

The women in my family are also much deeper than simply their gender. They understand the complexity of today’s most important issues such as the economy, global diplomacy, our safety, individual rights and how these issues all relate to their families.

Hillary’s appeal is tribal, pathos based and not based on any intellectually plausible conclusions. Her sine qua non is the same grievance based, divisive approach as the president she served. Her policies are not only indistinguishable from what we currently see, but she has been a significant part of their destructive result. She has served this president not just in office, but with words, support intent, funding and ideas.

That is why the women in my family will never support her. This isn’t about “gender” or “about time”. It is about what is best for our country and that does not include Mrs. Clinton. We already know where that road leads.

Clearly what was right in 1983 is wrong now and what was wrong in 1983 is now right. Cultural and political evolution in practice where no one on the Left should be held accountable nor responsible and someone else is supposed to foot the bill for payment.

That is what the Left consider progress.

Geez

“To be in the vortex of this media maelstrom was quite alarming, and frightening, and confusing.” Lewinsky said. “I think a lot, too, had to do with the fact that I was a woman.”

Poor puppy will be the Hillary Fluke, mark it. Maybe they’ll appear together at the D convention, with Bill between the two hags.

The democrats act as if a woman’s only concerns in life are having sex and being able to abort the baby if their free birth control fails.

The “Hillary! Bullshit Campaign” continues.

She was for those laws before she was against them. How soon before we hear her say that she’s “evolved”?

It goes beyond that….as Libfree stated yesterday, it’s the left’s way of reducing the size of the welfare state.

Fewer unplanned pregnancies is good for shrinking the size of the welfare state in particular.

Fast forward to this morning when the Supreme Court sided with Hobby Lobby. The majority ruled that Hobby Lobby fell under the umbrella of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Who signed that bill? Bill! The RFRA was sponsored in the U.S. Senate by some right-wing Republican named Chuck Schumer.

Today could mark the beginning of 21st century Bill Clinton’s latest battle to undo the damage caused by 20th century Bill Clinton before Hillary kicks off a possible 2016 bid. Back to the future!

“deeply disturbed”

I am troubled that Hillary is DEEPLY disturbed because i know what a sensitive, beatific human being she is. Just as I know how DEEPLY disturbed she was at the murder of 4 Americans at Benghazi. Also how DEEPLY disturbed she was at all those swindled by Whitewater. And how DEEPLY disturbed she was by the “suicide” of Vince Foster.

I’m sure Bill Clinton would have wanted a “Lewinski” from a male intern, just as much as he did from a female intern.

(Not really!)

Yep. She deserves personal attacks.
