TEMS Monday: Guest hosting on Relevant Radio

posted at 5:11 pm on June 23, 2014 by Ed Morrissey

If you are looking for a change of pace, I will be guest hosting this evening on Relevant Radio for my friend Sheila Liaugminas’ “A Closer Look” from 6-7 ET (Facebook page here). Relevant Radio and ACL focuses on current events from a Catholic perspective. My guests tonight will be:

We’ll be discussing Pope Francis’ statements on the mafia, drug legalization, Francis’ status as the “indispensable man” of the Church, as well as the release of Meriam Yehia Ibrahim and the flight of Christians from Mosul.

I’ll also be guest hosting for Sheila on Thursday and Friday. Be sure to tune in!

RR has some great hosts/progs – Sheila, Drew, Morning Air – good listening even for us non-Catholics. I remember listening to WLOL years ago, long before it was RR. Before that and before my time, James Arness worked there as an announcer (he was Mpls born).

Yeah, the Relevant Radio programming is remarkably strong even on the weekends. Sure they occasionally put out some facepalm moments, like when they devoted a show last Winter to a positive portrayal of Kwanza, but their overall record is pretty good.
