George Will: There’s just no such thing as honest, intelligent disagreement with this president

posted at 8:41 pm on June 5, 2014 by Erika Johnsen

As Politico noted yesterday, a lot of the backlash against the Bergdahl deal this week has been, in the minds of Obama’s ever-faithful aides, a mere “proxy for the hatred toward the president.” Mmm hmm. If that really is the case and all of this noise is just a bunch of whipped-up spiteful nonsense on the part of the president’s opponents, then as George Will put it this evening, “the project of whipping it up is remarkably bipartisan.” Sure, the usual Democratic sycophants (and not even all of them!) are falling all over themselves to defend the White House and expose those dastardly Republican haterz, but there are plenty of very obviously legitimate questions and issues coming from both sides, via RCP:

When he says it’s whipped up, he means it’s synthetic; when he means it’s synthetic, he means it’s inauthentic. Which means it’s yet again, a recurring theme in his presidency, which is there’s no such thing as honest intelligent disagreement with him. Clearly, you can’t exchange hostages and POWs and have all of this without some kind of controversy. And if this is whipped up, the project of whipping it up is remarkably bipartisan. To take just two examples, both Senators from West Virginia, Jay Rockefeller and [Joe] Manchin, are clearly disturbed about this. Jay Rockefeller is no rookie, Manchin is in his first term, Jay Rockefeller is the fourth most senior Democrat in the Senate. We can all stipulate, as the lawyers say, that perhaps a disturbed young man in a very disturbing situation did something that we’re going to have a long time sorting out.

Oops: Yep, I meant “disagreement” in my headline, not “agreement.” Fixed.

I do hate this president. Not because of his skin color though, it’s the fact that he’s a liberal progressive socialist pig that draws my ire. It’s not just him you can’t have an intelligent agreement OR disagreement with, it’s ALL the mutton headed liberal progressive socialists that are too thick to understand our country, its constitution, what that constitution even means, why it was crafted the way it was, and how it’s VERY relevant today versus their claim that it’s outdated or a living document to be destroyed through radical socialist change.

I despise all of them because it’s their idiotic refusal to observe these things that is destroying our country. Their biggest complaint seems to be that they aren’t destroying this country fast enough.

We need to drop them all in Afghanistan and not look back.

The problem with calling the objections racist is that it crumbles in the face of the coming election landslide. Obama won’t lose his job but a ton of other Democrats will.

In the end, as horrible as these 8 years will be for America, Obama will be the best thing that ever happened to the Republican party and the worst that ever happens to the Dems. We really could see a permanent Republican majority established — especially in the state houses.

Good grief. You can’t have a rational disagreement with a rabid stealth Marxist or a malignant narcissist – and Obama’s both.

Also, he is ineligible to be president. But conservatives agree to fight the man destroying our country with both hands tied behind their backs. That’s how the moderate Kerensky fought Lenin and the Bolsheviks. A few years later when the Bolsheviks had control, there was mass murder and oppression on an unimaginable scale.

Have been watching the reactions of top Democrats. They managed to commit “political-suicide” when they put such an inept, green, incompetent person into high public office. President Obama has become like a highly-volatile, experimental rocket. The rocket has just lifted off the launch-pad. Is it going to give a smooth climb out ? Or will it suddenly settle back on to the pad and suddenly explode ? Or will it climb a couple of hundred feet and suddenly veer off into a wild zig-zag horizontal flight path and crash into a hill a mile away and THEN explode ? Barack Obama has become just like this rocket. Highly unpredictable and VERY unstable !

At the outset I’ll acknowledge that liberals react to logic like vampires react to garlic. But logically speaking, for all criticism of President Obama to be racist, the shortcomings that are being criticized would have to be characteristics unique to his race, would they not?

So, logically, only half of the criticism could be racist, because he is half White. The question then becomes, which half is responsible for his half-as**d policies?
