Tapper: “How many dead veterans does” the White House need before heads start to roll?

posted at 8:41 pm on May 15, 2014 by Erika Johnsen

Oh. Snap. CNN’s Jake Tapper took White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough to task this afternoon for the Obama administration’s costly lack of hustle when it comes to dealing with the instances of waste/fraud/abuse in their midst, rather pointedly asking, “How many stories like this, how many letters like this, how many dead veterans do you need before somebody asks the question within the White House, ‘Maybe this guy isn’t the best steward of these veterans’?” …All he got back was obfuscation and excuses, of course, but it was a good try.

The VA and the Obama administration should be in prison for what they’ve done to these veterans and their families.

The VA and the Obama administration have not only thoroughly covered themselves in shame, they’re culpable for the deaths of veterans and the pain and suffering of many, many more, as well as the pain and suffering of their families.

That this is the way this administration, and the agency entrusted with their care, chooses to treat those who have served this nation and sacrificed for all of us is shameful, reprehensible, and contemptible.

Charge them with breaking the law and conspiring together to break the law and colluding to cover up their crimes.

Um, because Obama and Holder are in charge and no one, and I mean no one, is ever held responsible in this administration.

Krauthammer was right on the money tonight. If the WH tries its usual stonewalling technique on this one they are in big trouble.

It looks like that’s how they are starting out, and given their level of hubris after all they’ve gotten away with, I’m not surprised. But no firings, a fake “investigation”, and then declaring it “old news” and a “phony scandal” isn’t going to work this time.

It’s disturbing that this just the tip of the iceberg, it’s only come up after at least 40 vets have died as a result of this shameful conniving at the Phoenix facility, and that’s just one facility, and come to light because there is an obvious and incontrovertible paper trail.

This likely means that there are many, many other instances of similar abuse and cheating within the system that has also cost lives and caused needless pain and suffering. We have to wonder if the VA and its lackey’s weren’t just better at hiding the many other ways they’ve been cheating veterans of the care they desperately need and that they’ve earned with their sacrifice for the rest of us.

How many more scandals from this White House does it take for the press to understand that the culture created by a community organizer is responsible for these types of abuses?

CIA
Secret Service
DEA
ATF
State
VA
NSA
HHS
IRS

And I’m sure I’m leaving some out. This is abuse of Americans and our tax dollars by political appointees and the government employees they oversee. That, by any measure, is the fault of the man at the top. It’s about time the press looks at all of this in context rather than as individual blips on a radar. The press has covered these as though they were individual dive bomber pilots who targeted Pearl Harbor rather than the Imperial Japanese.

This is all part of Obama’s war on our military.
Treat the vets like crap so that people in the military want to get out.
Make it so people think twice before joining the military.
And they are rejecting 80% of the people that want to join the military.
Obama wants to destroy our military and thus the ability to protect our freedom.
Obama has broken his oath of office and needs to be impeached, convicted and executed for his treasonous acts.

As a point of reference, consider Obama’s reverence for this nation’s veterans when he closed their memorial in Washington to spite them for his ire over sequester cuts to the budget. In that light, do you really think he gives a flying care about those who have died for the sake of political appearances? Can you say Benghazi?

No sh!t, Jake. To tell the truth, the fact that heads haven’t rolled in a good enough reason for substituting Obama’s on the chopping block.

The man disgraces the office of the Presidency. The reason this happened is entirely on Obama’s head. Even if he is not directly involved in this outrage, his contempt for the country and the rule of law fostered and nurtured this contempt for the rule of law throughout the federal government.

Hillary Clinton wasn’t the only Obama administration official who went to bat for Boko Haram over the past few years.

Soon after John Kerry took over as Secretary of State, the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Terence P. McCulley, accused the Nigerian government of butchery during a confrontation with Boko Haram terrorists in Baga, a Nigerian town on the shores of Lake Chad, and in May 2013 threatened to withdraw U.S. military aid from the West African nation.

This is a scheme hatched in Washington, DC.

There is no way all these regional offices came up with the same exact scam, to be run in the exact same way, independently. Did not happen.

Probably not Shinseki, of course, but someone high enough under him to given the down-line the go-ahead to falsify the data. Meaning likely a political appointee.

Remember, Obama only promised to get the wait times down. He never said anything about actually seeing a doctor.

The criminal aspect is that they did it to earn bonuses, and accepted the money they knew they had not earned. If Obama won’t prosecute these people, including whoever came up with the plan, the statute of limitations won’t have run out when the next President is sworn in – just another 980 days.

Tapper is one of the only real reporters left.

leader4hru on May 16, 2014 at 1:39 AM

Jake, you don’t get it, do you? There are more important things Obama and the WH have to worry about than human lives, specially veteran’s. Global warming legislation, vacation plans, roads, fundraiser dinners, basketball brackets, stalling Keystone XL, what happens in some country that doesn’t affect US interests, etc. there’s no time in two terms to do it all!!!

1 progressive in government job is equal in value to about 50,000 conservative veteran’s lives. They already figure that a progressive veteran would be able to cheat and get medical care regardless and only conservatives would follow instructions and die.

To Obama, remember, even a born alive baby can still be murdered and it be considered an abortion.

“Accountability” DIED the moment Obama was sworn into office.

- ‘Fast and Furious’: The government provides thousands of guns and grenades to Mexican Drug Cartelsreulsting in the deaths of over 350 – and counting – people, to include a US BPA, Brian Terry…and NO ONE is held accountable.

- US Atty Gen Eric Holder perpetrates 3 Felony counts of Perjury before Congress in the cover-up of F&F – the GOJ refuses to charge their boss, Obama refuses to punish him, and Holder is eventually ‘Censured’, making Holder the ONLY US Atty Gen to ever be Censured. NO accountability!

- Holder perpetrates ANOTHER Felony Count of Perjury by telling Congress he knew nothing about the illegal wire taps on AP editors, reporters, & THEIR FAMILITY…only to admit under oath later that he was the one to give the order to do it. NO accountability!

- ‘No Smidgen of corruptionin IRS targeting – ‘rogue agents”…NO accountability!

- ‘The Benghazi attack was over a video’ – 4 dead Americans to include the 1st US Ambassador murdered in over 30 years…NO accountability!

- ‘Man, it $ucks that ‘rogue agents’ put Veterans on a secret ‘Death Panel’ waiting list…”I’m mad as h@ll”…but NO accountability!

This administration is the ‘MOST CRIMINAL yet ZERO accountability’ in our nation’s history!
