Video: The ultimate “Family Feud” choke

posted at 2:01 pm on May 8, 2014 by Allahpundit

An early afternoon palate cleanser via the Blaze. Excruciating to watch, but let’s be fair: This is mostly bad luck, no? Of her four answers, only the last one is stupid; the other three were all given by the person who went before her and two of those were the number-one answer overall. I’m genuinely amazed there weren’t 18 people who offered the same response she did to questions one and four. No one said “four” to the first question? Out of a hundred people?

Oh well. Worst choke since Hillary lost the 2016 primaries to Elizabeth Warren.

Oh well. Worst choke since Hillary lost the 2016 primaries to Elizabeth Warren.

Warren might not run. But Booker, deBlasio or Deval Patrick might.

Schadenfreude on May 8, 2014 at 2:06 PM

Hillary might do the “grandma” thing too.

Schadenfreude on May 8, 2014 at 2:06 PM

What a stoooopid chick…

OmahaConservative on May 8, 2014 at 2:07 PM

I feel bad for her, especially because she really seemed to be beating herself up for it. She was in a tough position, considering the answers that were already given.

We can have our first indian woman president! Wonder if she’d cheer on the Redskins…

PatriotRider on May 8, 2014 at 2:08 PM

Not as bad as the guy in the British version of the show who gave the same answer to all five questions. “Turkey.”

Schadenfreude on May 8, 2014 at 2:06 PM

Killary is keeping her options open. She’s being coy about 2016 and the stupid women who only care about getting a birth canal into the Presidency are sending her money. But I think that ultimately, she’ll have to decide if the baggage she’s carrying (which is more than the capacity of a 747) is going to sink her chances of winning the nomination and/or the Presidency. If it isn’t a sure thing or the questions about Benghazi and foreign policy are too sharp, she’ll bail.

Personally, I think that her medical condition is worse than they are letting on and she will ultimately declare that she wants to sit it out and be a grandma after so many years of exhausting public service. But she isn’t going to stop the money from coming in any sooner than she has to.

Well, at least she wasn’t born Sheila Jackson-Lee….

viking01 on May 8, 2014 at 2:23 PM

The reason the 1st person got 182 points is because there was only one obvious answer to most of the questions. Except for the first one, and that was just dumb luck. I wouldn’t call that a choke.

Fenris on May 8, 2014 at 2:23 PM

Those were hard questions. I think I would have said a doctors office after airport. I’d go blank on everything else.

El_Terrible on May 8, 2014 at 2:25 PM

Between Hillary and Warren, I’d take Princess Fauxahontas any day. The latter is exactly as bad as Cankles on the entire socialist agenda but will at least slap down a heavy lid on leverage-driven banking system, which is in obvious of one.

On second thought, I’d rather have neither…

Is this the worst round of Family Feud EVER? Contestant needing only 18 to win $20,000 fails to score a single point

Wasn’t the worst Family Feud of all time when everybody got mouth sores from Richard Dawson?

(making that up)

viking01 on May 8, 2014 at 2:29 PM

She shouldn’t be ashamed on this one. A lot of time was eaten up by 3/5 of her answers which were repeated #1 answers and it isn’t easy to rapidly come up with a second answer. I doubt I would’ve done much better except for the last question (I thought “debt”)…but then again, I was sitting on my butt without any pressure.

She should have just said ‘Obama’ for every answer, then they couldn’t have given her zeroes or they’d be racist.

OT but the Gosnell is about $100,000 short of its goal with 5 days left. Guys if you can please contribute at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gosnell-movie Please this story needs to be told, the press needs to be shamed, and this awful practice of murdering full term babies needs to never be allowed to happen again.

neyney on May 8, 2014 at 2:47 PM

I have very fixed feelings about Steve Harvey as host.

If I were a liberal, I’d have no problem saying he’s the best ever — funny and warm, with the ability to make a fairly average game show something special.

OTOH, he usually seems to establish a much closer bond with the black contestants than with anyone in the white family. (For those who haven’t seen the show, they usually have one of each, for reasons I don’t think are entirely healthy.) I also often hear him saying to the black family when they leave the show “I’m proud of you,” the racial solidarity of which I find slightly creepy.

In fairness, though, he’ll also have fun at the expense of a black contestant in ways no white host would ever try.

As I say, a very mixed bag.

How about the Newlywed Game question asked “Where specifically, is the weirdest place that you personally have ever gotten the urge to make whoopee?” The answer will astound some of you.

I am surprise restaurant was a zero. Who does not check their watch if their food is getting to them slowly, or if you have some place to go after eating which sometimes people do.

Doughboy on May 8, 2014 at 2:12 PM

My wife was listening from the other room.. on that question she yells “debt!”

I’ve never seen one person do so well and then the other of the pair do so bad. Usually with that good of a first round (never seen 182 though) it’s a slam dunk… first 0 I’ve seen too, thinking about it.

Effay5 on May 8, 2014 at 3:27 PM

having wasted several hours watching this show as a yout … i thought the 2nd person’s strategy wuz to come up mentally with at least 2 answers since invaribly the first person wuld have taken the obvious one … so she gets some ‘diss’ points there … but beyond that … meh …

ABreitbart on May 8, 2014 at 3:35 PM

Happens to be a friend of my daughter. I’m not sure I can ever look her in the face again.

Even for FF those were some of the dumbest questions ever.

CW on May 8, 2014 at 7:38 PM

President Elizabeth Warren!?!

Oh, God, that’s what’s going to happen, isn’t it? Eight years of the Unicorn Prince followed by eight years of “You didn’t build that.”

Just kill me.

Kensington on May 8, 2014 at 10:52 PM

Her real problem wasn’t stupidity, it was being so in sync with her fellow family member that her initial responses were already taken, costing her valuable time.

And her answers weren’t terrible. Come on, how many loud insects do people think of other than crickets?

The only places I would have immediately piped up with different answers were the last two, and that only after guessing “growls” and “love” myself. (I would have said “aches” and “debt”, but at that point the poor woman was both flustered and short of time.)

Yes, bad luck, not stupidity.

Chuckles3 on May 9, 2014 at 10:01 AM
