Holder to Louie Gohmert over contempt charge: “You don’t want to go there, buddy!”

posted at 2:01 pm on April 8, 2014 by Allahpundit

Via the DC, enjoy his peevishness while bearing in mind (a) this guy has been in criminal contempt of the House for nearly two years, with 17 Democrats having voted against him; (b) the contempt charge stems from a claim of executive privilege in refusing to turn over documents related to Operation Fast & Furious, exactly the sort of presidential secrecy that candidate Obama grumbled about vis-a-vis Bush; and (c) Holder actually lost a motion to dismiss the contempt charge in federal court last year, with the judge ruling that an unreviewable right of executive privilege would be an affront to the Constitution. Somehow, given all of that, Holder’s the one who’s ticked off here, not Gohmert.

Expect more of this before 2017, because it’s going to be a looong time before we get a final decision.

The Congressman should ask him if he knows that there’s a jail cell in the Capitol and if he would like to visit it for an extended stay.

Holder’s attitude is utterly inappropriate for a Congressional hearing. He only gets away with it because the filthy stupid rat-eared coward has his back. Why? Because they are hiding the bigger scheme to flood Mexico with firearms and then go out after the Second Amendment on the basis of controlling firearms from Mexico.

Imagine this was John Mitchell vs. Sam Ervin in 1973.

Mitchell tells Ervin “You don’t want to go there, buddy”.

Ervin tells Mitchell, “That’s contempt of Congress, you know.”

Mitchell says, “Yeah, what are you gonna do about it?”

Ervin then has a couple of U.S. Marshals slam Mitchell into the wall, administer a pat-down search just short of a Brooklyn stomping, and then they haul his dead a$$ off to a Federal cell for a week or so.

Ervin then says, “The next time, keep a civil tongue in your head, Mr. Attorney General”.

That’s what should have happened to Holder. Period.

How does he get to wag his finger, and tell the Congressman where to go and where not to go??? This is clearly an implied threat. Which is amazing bravado from anyone considering they have been found in contempt of congress. “I’ll go anywhere I want Mr. Holder, what are you going to do about it?”

– The Atty General who perjured himself AGAIN before Congress during the AP Spying investigation when he 1st told them he knew nothing about it and then had to admit HE was the one who ordered it, that he even went ‘judge-shopping’ to find a judge who would finally allow it.

It is a DISGRACE to this nation that this criminal is not in JAIL for perjury, the same punishment HE sentenced Scooter Libby to for failing to accurately remember what he did on a specific date in his past that had no significance to the issue they were investigating!

Pick your worst, even someone like Susan Collins who is admittedly just this side of worthless as a senator and a human, even she wouldn’t allow something like this to continue on, year after disgraceful year.

On the up side, I never had the “men in black” visit me, since I knew the “boy” himself would never read my email before his minions deleted it.

On the down side, this divisive racist clown never took my advise and tried to tone down his obviously anti-white intolerance.

Big John on April 8, 2014 at 3:20 PM

At what point do we admit that the president and his administration are lawless, that no one in congress or the administration believes this nation will ever pay off its gargantuan debt, and that the rule of law means nothing in this nation?

Obamas changed ObamaCare 39 times, by his will alone, without so much as consulting congress.

That’s rank lawlessness from the executive branch.

Worse, Obama brags about it..”I’ve got a pen and a phone.”

The president’s friend, and frequent guest, Jay-Z, has taken to openly wearing the paraphernalia of “The Five Percenters”, an organization that can only be described as the black Klan.

Eric Holder has testified before congress that the president and the attorney general can literally interpret enforcement of the law any way they choose when questioned about the administration complacently allowing Colorado and Washington to openly defy federal drug legislation.

This administration, largely by vehicle of Obama’s Executive Orders, has gutted federal immigration law and abandoned any pretext of enforcement. A standing army of 12 million illegal aliens are currently at large in this nation. Foreign nationals, each and every one, either holding American jobs or costing the tax payers of this nation for their education, medical maintenance and support.

Obama has contrived to diminish this nation globally and his position of weakness has promoted and promulgated unrest, strife, terrorism, and warfare in nations around the globe. How many people have to suffer to satisfy Obama’s ego and the appetites of the LEFT?

If Obama weren’t half black, he’d have been impeached by now, but our congress is gutless and supine in the face of being labelled ‘racist’ for even attempting to hold this president liable for his action and accountable under the constitution.

Throw all of these bums out of office and elect some real, dedicated, decent public servants who believe in the rule of law.

Call me a troll but Holder just made a little boy out of Ghomert. I don’t like (read as HATE) Holder but there was one man in that exchange and it wasn’t Ghomert. Sorry repubs but if I knew nothing about either of them before watching that exchange I would just assume that Ghomert was some lacky put up there for Holder to slap around in front of the camera.

No, I won’t call you a troll.

I’ll call you an idiot!

What Gohmert was doing is called decorum. What Holder did is typical Chicago gangland BS tactics.

“Sorry repubs but if I knew nothing…”

That right there shows you are most like a troll.

If Gohmert had slapped Holder around, it would have been 24/7 on the LSM about what a RACIST he is.

Don’t forget Joe Wilson calling Obama a liar, which has proven to be true.

The clip on Breitbart has the entire exchange.

I liked you better on Green Acres.

Maybe it’s time to go watch some old westerns on TV.

You don’t want to sink to their level and you don’t want to end up with the fist fights that you see in foreign countries legislatures. However, I think you can push them far enough to get them to expose themselves. And that’s what Gohmert did.

Whatever, little fella. Your “decorum” by the GOP sure serves us well

I thought Janet Reno was the dregs of an attorney general. Holder is worse.
