Harry Reid: Liar

posted at 7:21 pm on February 27, 2014 by Guy Benson

Allahpundit described my reaction to Harry Reid’s latest broadsides against truth and decency rather accurately, writing that I was “virtually shaking with rage and disbelief that this tool could say this with a straight face.”  I eventually channeled that anger — and it was genuine anger — into a rapid fire Twitter fact-check of the US Senate’s dishonorable leader.  Reid asserted that “all of” the personal accounts from people who have been harmed by Obamacare “are untrue.”  In short, this known liar unironically and casually smeared millions of Americans, including a number of cancer patients, as liars for daring to notice that Democrats’ unpopular healthcare law was actively hurting them.  With a tip of the hat to our Twitchy cousins for compiling these tweets into a single post, here is a small slice of what the second most powerful Democrat in America sneers at as “untrue” fabrications of the Koch brothers.  Cancer patients whose plans they liked and depended on were canceled under Obamacare, violating the president’s promise and throwing their lives into turmoil:

Those are in addition to the Michigan woman whose story Reid called “absolutely false” in yet another cretinous, mean-spirited lie. Are these sick children, AIDS patients and disabled families doing the Koch’s bidding, too?

Now let’s hear from some decidedly not “rich” Americans whose healthcare costs are spiking thanks to Democrats’ big “affordable” experiment:

And finally, for good measure, let’s review some of the emotional — and actually inaccurate — “success” and sob stories that Democrats have trotted out to try to manipulate public opinion on Obamacare:

Obama wrongly embellishing the details of his own mother’s death is the perfect note on which to end. Conservatives’ anecdotes are fortified by statistics and evidence, too — even though the existence of any negative experiences should theoretically be enough to expose the Left’s mendacious “no trade-offs, no losers, no downsides” sales pitch for their disastrous law. Oh, and the worst betrayals are yet to come for millions of victims-in-waiting. Or as Reid might call them, future liars.

I only take comfort in the fact that the Grim Reaper is sharpening up his scythe getting ready to take this scumbag to Hell sooner than later.

What have we let this country turn into where an elected official tells people dying of cancer that they’re liars just to cover his own political hide?

I grow further disgusted and disheartened with each passing day. This country is rapidly reaching a point where there is no turning back to what made it great to begin with.

In a non-related topic … I see that Raul ‘The Burro’ Grijalva (D-Mexico) has published a half-ass OpEd in the NYT praising King Putt and condeming the XL Pipeline effort.
And the Gimmedats will keep electing this C- poly-sci community organizer twit who brought about the slow demise of Pima County, AZ. His offspring are working dilligently to continue this destruction.
Much like King Putt and his auto-biography’s (two of them cause he is SO AWESOME) Raul likely took two months to ‘write’ this with LOTS of input from his multi-million dollar $taff members.

You know how opposing political teams send out “Truth Squads” during every election campaign to shadow the other side’s candidate, deliver counter speeches following the candidate’s, occasionally even disrupt the candidate’s stump appearances?

Time for a Dirty Harry “Truth Squad.” The sole purpose of which is to follow Reid about and shout, repeatedly, “Liar! Liar!” at every one of his public appearances. Or when he goes out for pizza. Shame, shun, or harass him into the shadows. He no longer merits a modicum of civility. “The Joe Wilson League” has a nice ring to it, too.

The senior republican in the US House of Representatives will become Speaker of the House and the US House of Representatives will elect a temporary President of the United States. HEALTH LAW FIX FOR STATE-RUN WEBSITES

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is coming to the aid of states that had technical problems running their own health care websites.

The federal Health and Human Services Department quietly told states Thursday that residents who were unable to sign up because of technical problems may still get federal tax credits if they bought private insurance outside of the new online insurance exchanges.

Several restaurants in a Florida chain are asking customers to help foot the bill for Obamacare. Diners at eight Gator’s Dockside casual eateries are finding a 1% Affordable Care Act surcharge on their tabs, which comes to 15 cents on a typical $15 lunch tab. Signs on the door and at tables alert diners to the fee, which is also listed separately on the bill.

There’s some irony at work when, looking at the ratings, it appears that many of the left get their news from….The Comedy Channel (The Colbert Report / The Daily Show) or SNL (‘I can see Russia from my front porch’.

I asked one uber-liberal friend where he got his news, and he said during the day, MSNBC, and in the evening, The Comedy Channel. I then asked him if he somehow thought the combination of ‘News’ and ‘The Comedy Channel’ was problematic given two of those shows were self-described as satirical and the others should be.

He looked at me as if I was crazy before starting on his usual faux news rant.

In the Blackwood case, you can go online and find out that Humana does cover the drug: http://apps.humana.com/UnsecuredDrugListSearch/Search.aspx.

It does take prior authorization, though, but alternatives are also offered. So the critical piece of missing information is whether Humana offered another drug in place of the Sandostatin. (sic).

And if Obamacare is in general increasing premiums so much, then why have the premiums for health insurance purchased on EHealth dropped roughly $100 since October? http://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-much-people-actually-paying-141318245.html;_ylt=A0LEVi065g9T5AIAomAPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsa3ZzMnBvBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw–.

It actually surprises me that you characterize AP’s reaction as…”described” your anger. In my experience, he STOMPS on the anger of the commentariat, when we flare up at our own individual redlines, and he does it quite publicly, if it does not suit his badger mood on a particular day.

Why are we supposed to reserve our anger for a politician like Harry Reid (Pederast, AZ) for lies, all these years later? My cancer “ox” as got gored years ago. Long after my housecat got gored. And my gasoline bill got gored. My grocery bill and my energy bill and my phone bill are gored. So hey, Congratulations on being permitted to express some actual anger on Hot Air.

Weak. From your link: “All data is for 2014 Affordable Care Act plans without a subsidy applied.”

Therefore, this is not a comparison of pre-Obamacare and Obamacare policies. This likely reflects older more responsible or unhealthy people signing up earlier because they have to, vs younger folks applying for cheaper policies just to make the deadline.

I plan to be there. My wife does too if she is able.

As a man who held the first inverted American flag in Manhattan’s first Tea Party rally, before we adopted the Gadsen flag…hmmm…this may be my hill, so to speak.

May 16th, District of Discraced Columbia.

American Spring, may be our last chance…Ukraine!

Wondering when the Mormon Church will kick out Lying Harry.

joecollins on February 27, 2014 at 8:56 PM

slickwillie, I think you’re wrong. The article also says this: “These are premiums for individual policies across the U.S. People buying on EHealth can’t get federal subsidies, so customers are bearing the full cost of the premiums.”

jim56 on February 27, 2014 at 8:59 PM

Not enough.

This man, and his ilk, MUST. BE. PUNISHED.

Humiliated, destroyed. A political mudhole politically stomped in his political a$$.

Ruined beyond recovery.

Please, Koch Brothers, hire 1,000 of us to do *nothing* but mercilessly, tirelessly, hound and harass Harry Reid 24/7.

Midas on February 27, 2014 at 9:02 PM

Harry Reid is a liar.

It makes for a better sentence.

cozmo on February 27, 2014 at 7:25 PM

Oh, Harry Reid should get a sentence, all right. Just not the kind you’re talking about…

Why does the American Spring call for people to show up by their millions but be unarmed?

It says “All data is for 2014 Affordable Care Act plans without a subsidy applied;” what about that is not clear?

Do you realize that ALL individual policies sold in the country now MUST be Obamacare compliant, not just the ones sold through healthcare.gov?

I’d rather a million peaceful AR-15 owners show up just across the border for a meet & greet gun show for a few days.

Because…they have more hollow-point ammo than we do. Remember,this a Ghandi-style Ukranian-Egypt-Libya “American Spring”.

The second amendment comes Later, when we lose the communist takeover. Got it?

I agree! I don’t gots no AR, but I gots an AK.

Harry Reid is truly sick in the head … this man needs medication for his dementia.

It’s obvious to us who have dealt with it in our loved ones … maybe no one in his family wants to admit it.
