Pelosi: To watch Harry Reid “was to watch a master at work”

posted at 8:41 pm on October 16, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

Just in case you were at all curious about what the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives had to say on today’s budgetary goings-on, here you go. She was apparently plenty eager to get a deal done throughout, but at the end of day was ready to defer to the true “master at work.”

I don’t even know what to say, ya’ll.

This was an opportunity cost of time. We could have been talking about jobs, farm bill, immigration, any number of issues that need to be addressed, and I commend the Speaker for coming around for bringing it to the floor. I salute — I never saw anything like what Harry Reid did. To watch him, was to watch a master at work. He was superb, intellectually, politically astute, and just the sheer stamina of it all. And it was a sign of the respect that his members have for him.

So wtf else was this poisonous snake ever going to say?

If I may take a page from the Roger Simon of Politico worldview of politicians with whom visceral exception is taken, Nancy Pelosi is a corrupt & demented old bat who looks and sounds as if she’s been liquored up from dawn to dusk for 40 years straight, The very best thing she could do for this country is choke to death on a Martini olive tomorrow.

Who f***ing cares what she thinks?

CoffeeLover on October 16, 2013 at 9:03 PM

Trust me Nancy, if the press ever gets a backbone, your tactics will fail so badly you’ll never be able to stage a comeback. The Democrats can’t win telling people what they believe and they can’t win without a sycophant media pointing out what they stand for.

Obama has had a free ride since he announced he was running, that could last until he’s out of office, but it can’t last forever., He may end up being forever an asterisk President. He’s the most divisive President I can remember in my lifetime, mostly because he just doesn’t give a damn about the country.

LOL!

Let’s face it, the best writers in the world couldn’t come up with such colossal gall. Pelosi… the woman on the brink of excommunication from the Catholic church for supporting all abortion… but who swears she’s a ‘devout Catholic’…the woman who applauded Occupy Wall Street…but calls seniors at town hall meetings ‘an angry mob’…who accused every American who dared disagree with her preferred policy agenda ‘un-American’ and ‘unpatriotic’…who caused the extinction of the Blue Dogs and the Pro Life Democrats and then declared after the midterms that it would make the Democrat Party ‘more ideologically pure’….is telling the world that Harry Reid is the epitome of intellectual and political acuity.

You have to laugh! LOL!

Just for the sake of demonstrating the sheer stupidity of the GOP Establishment, I would like to see the roles reversed… the White House and Senate in the hands of the GOP and the House with a Democrat majority.

Think we will hear the same excuses from Democrats that they only control one-half of one-third of the Govt. And so they should give Republicans everything?

Republicans need not look far to see how Democrats fight when in the minority. Remember Wisconsin?

But I digress… We have a collection of wimps and political whores as GOP leadership in DC. Who knew McConnell could be bought for an earmark to Kentucky? That is the supposed small govt. conservative that is calling his primary opponent “Bailout Bevin”.

No other member of the old Democratic elite can possibly hold its left-sliding legions together, yet Hillary Clinton has only one credential that appeals to her party: She could be our first female president. Elizabeth Warren’s growing followers, more in tune with today’s radicalized, populist Democrats, are likely to find that distinction unimpressive. If Clinton’s rationale begins to fray, all hands on deck: The Democratic Party’s 2016 nomination process is going to look like the casting call for “One-Flew-Over-The Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Howard Dean may have screamed his way past the Democratic nomination in 2004, but the revolution he started has borne fruit. The 2016 nomination battle may be a fight between Elizabeth Warren, Governors Martin O’Malley and Deval Patrick, an unpolished pack of ideological duds and even a reinvigorated Dean, all vying to out-crazy each other and take the Democratic Party over a precipice. They’ll make the troupe that sought the 2012 GOP nomination look like the committee awarding the Nobel Prize for Physics.

Being a conservative and a Detroit Lions fan I have gotten used to rooting for a losing team or underdog.

We need to REPLACE McCain, Graham, et al, and that was my point. Since we can’t throw them out all at once, we need to persuade the moderates and conservatives in their constituencies to replace them with smart, talented, and focused candidates.
