Pelosi: To watch Harry Reid “was to watch a master at work”

posted at 8:41 pm on October 16, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

Just in case you were at all curious about what the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives had to say on today’s budgetary goings-on, here you go. She was apparently plenty eager to get a deal done throughout, but at the end of day was ready to defer to the true “master at work.”

I don’t even know what to say, ya’ll.

This was an opportunity cost of time. We could have been talking about jobs, farm bill, immigration, any number of issues that need to be addressed, and I commend the Speaker for coming around for bringing it to the floor. I salute — I never saw anything like what Harry Reid did. To watch him, was to watch a master at work. He was superb, intellectually, politically astute, and just the sheer stamina of it all. And it was a sign of the respect that his members have for him.

Has anyone else noticed that this is how liberals talk to/about each other? In over-the-top, gushing praise? Let a liberal friend on Facebook quote the most factually inaccurate, logically impossible, overused lefty statement, and he will immediately get 5-10 fellow liberals praising him for his originality/genius/courage/etc. Huh. Weird. And creepy, now that I think about it.

On a side note–yes, shame on the Republicans for selling out again. But seriously, the overall political situation in this country is just surreal. If we had a media that made even the remotest effort to report on actual facts, all the foolishness on the right wouldn’t matter at all–because it would pale in comparison to the utter arrogance, negligence, and evil of the left. Why the heck should Republicans have to explain or justify any role they’ve played in all this when the Democrat-controlled Senate hasn’t passed the legally-required budget in YEARS!!! It’s insane. And the shenanigans pulled by the Dems during this shutdown–trying to inflict as much pain as possible–should be enough to guarantee not a single public figure involved could ever hold any kind of office again. It should be enough to bring shame and condemnation on every Democrat everywhere. People should be abandoning that party in droves. Yet here we are, hoping the damage to the Republican party will only be slight and listening to the perpetrators of some of the greatest acts of tyranny ever visited upon America as they publicly praise each other and gleefully pat themselves on the back. What. The. Heck.

As a member of the Limited government Conservative base of the gop I am DISGUSTED by the entire republican leadership.

And I’ll have to say the so called “Tea Party” members of the House also SUCK if they will not stand up and oppose their leadership.

This means the gop has all but acknowledged that Obama cannot/ will not be stopped by them…..so we have a dictator for the next three years.

I have to cuss here and ask you republican congressman……WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN THERE IN DC?

We sent your sorry Lilly livered arses to S-T-O-P this bullcrap……not enable it!!!

I’m saving my leaving the party for after they ram Paul Ryan’s AMNESTY down our throats, until then I’m going to return every gop letter asking money back to them With a bright red sharpie with my thoughts!

And maybe I’ll even piss on the letter and send it back to them with a note….you pissed on the base, I just pissed on you.

I am livid!

On the other hand, to watch Nancy Pelosi requires a special box with a pinhole.

Ronnie on October 17, 2013 at 12:01 AM

Maybe she xhould go fishing with Reid. Then she can see his skill with the worms and hooks — he’s a real master baiter.

John the Libertarian on October 17, 2013 at 2:16 AM

Bull. Harry Reid is a dictatorial puke who eagerly serves his Marxist master.

But enough about Reid’s pederasty….

She’s deluded. These people are nothing without the aid of the MSM. The media won this for the dems, not the dems themselves.

A master at work? Yup, a slave master who is expanding the plantation massively –with the willing help of the GOP.

Just because a FIAT is labeled a Mercedes Benz doen’t mean it won’t act like a FIAT.

I abhor guru’s on the right, as they only speak the same old words of wisdom,…capitulate, surrender, give up, compromise, negotiate it away, agree, agree agree…with the enemy.

Don L on October 17, 2013 at 7:10 AM

OH MY GOD!!!!! Krauthamer wants the Republicans to give up on some of the sequester caps. What the hell is wrong with that man?

This works better when you actually show the quote you’re speaking of.

More proof Pelosi is insane, going senile, or both.

I do have to admit – the Democrats might be extremists, national socialists, and down right evil – but they do actually fight for their beliefs.

It is rather reminiscent of a certain poem…

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Yes, but watching Stalin, Hitler and Castro was also watching masters at work. That didn’t work out very well for those fawning over them either.

Drift away, fade away
Little tin goddess
Ash to ash, dust to dust
Fade to black
Fortune, fame, mirror vain, gone insane (Sing it)
Fortune, fame, mirror vain, gone insane but the memory remains
Ash to ash (Ash to ash), dust to dust (Dust to dust)
Fade to black (Fade to black), the memories remain, yeah
To this faded Prima Donna
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Dems talking about each other always reminds me of listening to Hollywood peeps talk about each other:

“Oh soandso is the best director ever. He just sees things in a different more real way than most people…”

“Working with XXXX is always amazing. He’s such an amazing actor and he’s so physical! YOu know he did all of his own stunts? I don’t think there’s another actor today who could have pulled it off as brilliantly…”

To watch him, was to watch a master at work. He was superb, intellectually, politically astute, and just the sheer stamina of it all.

To the contrary, notice how physically frail and creaky both these little hobgoblins are? “Dingy Harry,” Rush calls him. And as for Pelosi, isn’t she some kind of 300 year-old witch? Does she get blood transfusions? Why is her skin so chalky white?

Clearly she worships The Master! Reminds me of some Hawthorne I was reading last night:

The traveller put forth his staff and touched her withered neck with what seemed the serpent’s tail.

“The devil!” screamed the pious old lady.

“Then Goody Cloyse knows her old friend?” observed the traveller, confronting her and leaning on his writhing stick.

“Ah, forsooth, and is it your worship indeed?” cried the good dame. “Yea, truly is it, and in the very image of my old gossip, Goodman Brown, the grandfather of the silly fellow that now is. But–would your worship believe it?–my broomstick hath strangely disappeared, stolen, as I suspect, by that unhanged witch, Goody Cory, and that, too, when I was all anointed with the juice of smallage, and cinquefoil, and wolf’s bane”

“Mingled with fine wheat and the fat of a new-born babe,” said the shape of old Goodman Brown.

“Ah, your worship knows the recipe,” cried the old lady, cackling aloud. “So, as I was saying, being all ready for the meeting, and no horse to ride on, I made up my mind to foot it; for they tell me there is a nice young man to be taken into communion to-night. But now your good worship will lend me your arm, and we shall be there in a twinkling.”

“That can hardly be,” answered her friend. “I may not spare you my arm, Goody Cloyse; but here is my staff, if you will.”

So saying, he threw it down at her feet, where, perhaps, it assumed life, being one of the rods which its owner had formerly lent to the Egyptian magi. Of this fact, however, Goodman Brown could not take cognizance. He had cast up his eyes in astonishment, and, looking down again, beheld neither Goody Cloyse nor the serpentine staff, but his fellow-traveller alone, who waited for him as calmly as if nothing had happened.

Strange to think that the Greatest Society to ever appear on the face of the earth is now governed by horrible little fiends like this.

Weird. And creepy, now that I think about it.

Very creepy. And revealing that so many who regard themselves as ‘free thinkers’ rely on others to do the heavy lifting for them.

Many posts are also accompanied by an obligatory shot at the GOP or conservatives, most with some reference to Nazis, Scrooge, etc.

He touches me. And I tremble. His condescending leer is like an opiate, intoxicating me, and I find myself in a whirl-wind of rich mahogany and halogen lamps where he steps, and speaks, and steps again, and the world spins around him as it would for any god. His power and self-control fill me with a sense of my own weakness, but as I fall into his warm embrace and cloud of cologne, I melt away, fearless, and all that’s left is — Harry.

What’s Pelosi’s popularity rating by voters?

Something like Minus-Ten?

Even the Left can’t stand her.

Same with CA Senators Boxer and Feinstein, these three (includes Pelosi) are depraved, have gravely demented thought processes (and actions — Pelosi’s chopping hands disconnected from anything are a first-flag indication of something’s wrong there) (and Boxer and Feinstein’s ongoing statements condescending to and smearing Americans in deplorable fashion are also).

Reid fits right in. So of course Pelosi loves the guy. It’s a case of mold embracing mold.

You know, he truly is an evil man. He has colluded with the mob to enrich everyone in his family, and he has colluded with fellow communists to keep the masses down while he continue to rake in mob money. Most of us can barely pay our bills these days, but Harry doesn’t care; as long as he continues to be elected, he and his family will continue to be richer, and better, than the rest of us.
