Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

posted at 8:01 am on September 22, 2013 by Allahpundit

A dilemma for ObamaCare-defunders this morning: Watch Mike Lee on “Meet the Press” and tape Ted Cruz on “Fox News Sunday” or vice versa? Karl Rove’s slated to be on FNS too, possibly in the same segment as Cruz, to argue against a shutdown in the name of defunding, so maybe that’s the tiebreaker.

If you’re tired of the budget battles, Wayne LaPierre will also be on MTP to talk about the Navy Yard shooting and the gun-rights movement’s big recall victory in Colorado. The full line-up is at Politico.

No, Manchin is not up for re-election. Maybe he’s had a lot of calls:-)

Graham is and I’ve read he’s approving of the House vote to defund O’Care, LOL What a difference opposition makes.

Here is a list of all Dems & R Senators that are up for re-election.

Thanks. Do we still have to pay a penalty (aka tax) for not having insurance we can’t obtain? So single payer will be underwritten by this Government that is broke? I’m sure they will have “reserves” to make it solvent? LOL

The Judge that officiated was none other than Kimba Wood. She is the Federal Judge who had to withdraw her name as Clinton’s Attorney General because she hired an illegal alien and who filed for divorce claiming her husband withheld sex. Turns out she was having an affair with a millionaire, financier at the time.

All of these political relationships seem incestuous.

Are there any in the world that don’t yet understand that the co-ruling GOP wants to keep Obamacare and that all the charade to the opposite has been so much theatre in order to keep the conservative fools voting for the lesser of two evils.

Face it. they are career rulers. With Obamacare, they too get to divide the spoils of 1/6 more of the economy, while it lasts.

I read almost all of the comments on Twitchy after Malkin posted her family insurance was being cancelled. Many of the companies stated that due to the coverage requirements of O’Care, they could not make a profit. That made sense, since they are not “non-profit”, LOL

These companies cancelling policies that people now have is different than them pulling out of States.

What an absolute mess. It’s always this way whenever the Gov tries to run the private sector.

I heard that way before Obamacare, that Tom Price had a Health Care Plan, HR 2300. I had never heard that and should look it up to see what it was about. Not sure what year it was tho; 2008/09 perhaps.

A start would be for the State Medical Boards to monitor these “Pain Management” Prescribers. A monthly Audit would be good, followed up with some evidence of an actual Physical Condition or in the case of emotional issues, counseling.

Keep it TRULY fair & balanced,” Palin tweeted. “Release the GOP names encouraging you to trash @SenTedCruz. No more anonymous sources.”

Cruz, Lee, Paul and many in the House are taking the heat on all of this push against O’Care.

I am really very disappointed that only about 1.5 million Americans have signed the http://www.dontfundit.com petition. That is a disgrace, even tho I’m thankful for those that did.

Sending Cruz & Lee into the den of thieves with only 1.5 signatures? How many of these are contacting their Congress members to defund this and stand with those leading the charge?

No army can win any battle with only Generals you know! We scream for Leaders and when they appear, they only have 1.5 mil followers!!

When my Irish/German passion gets riled up, I’m fierce, LOL

I’m signed up on many sites to receive emails and even my local R County Party and have never received any phone calls, just email updates. Cruz/Paul/Senate Conservatives, etc. updates.

Calls are good. I made calls to my two U.S. Senators on Friday & one to my State Rep to confirm that Faxes/emails are not thrown away. No matter which office you call/fax/email, they all are entered into the system and are sent to D.C.

If there is a big issue, as Gun Control/Immigration/Obama”care”, I call/fax/email the entire Senate! They don’t get by with saying I’m not their constiuent either:-) “I’m an American and we can disagree with our Government”, LOL or something like that that H.C. screamed.

“Shitstorm” – Merkel won, big.

BERLIN—The elections set to take place here in Germany Sunday are expected to turn largely on the country’s solid economy, Chancellor Angela Merkel’s handling of the European debt crisis and social issues like women’s role in the work force. But add to that plate one more thing: Germans don’t want the government telling them what to eat.

In what could be a cautionary tale for First Lady Michelle Obama’s efforts to tweak Americans’ diets, Germans look set to punish the Green Party for urging that public cafeterias go meat-free on a designated “Veggie Day” each week in order to help the environment and reduce cruelty to animals. Borrowing colorfully from English, German newspaper Bild described public reaction to the idea as a “shitstorm.”

What the democratics can’t acknowledge that there would be an explosion of hiring, new jobs, new companies formed, if the execrable Obamacare could be killed.
