Video: National laughingstock sick and tired of you judgmental losers heckling him

posted at 3:21 pm on September 4, 2013 by Allahpundit

Who the hell are you people to judge him, just because he’s … asking you to judge him fit to serve as mayor of New York?

I know Ed posted it in the Greenroom but Weiner’s at seven percent in the polls with the primary less than a week away, which means this is probably the last post we’ll ever write about him as a kinda sorta theoretically somewhat viable political candidate. Think of this clip as his swan song, the rousing finale to a glorious career — jabbing his finger in the face of a voter who’s calling him a “scumbag” and a “deviant.” Sinatra had “My Way,” Weiner has this. Advantage: Weiner.

The best part here? The triumphant “I don’t back down” at the end. This guy once dreamed of governing America’s most populous city, now he’s reduced to rhetorically fist-bumping himself for not letting some guy in a bakery heckle him without a response. Oh well. There’s always weatherman.

Only in New York City. And he had a very good chance of becoming Mayor if he could have just kept it in his pants for a few months.

How bad will it be? I have read some liberal message boards where the residents of Manhattan are scared of what lies down the road with the current socialist in the lead. Apparently the guy lives in another burrough and plans to tax those island snobs until their eyeballs pop.

Looking at Weiner, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, etc – there seems to be some very common traits that dominate the progressive leadership in this country – hubris, arrogance, narcissism, and a general contempt for others and their opinions.

By the way, isn’t this the same antagonist who has been following Weiner around all throughout the election. If I recall correctly, he might even be an opponent.

It matters not. What does matter is that Weiner has asked, even begged, for voters to judge him positively. He wants their votes after all. Now, here’s one guy willing to say what even Weiner himself must sometimes think. Instead of responding to the accusations, Weiner tries to argue the point by misdirection.

Bill Clinton used to park these know-nothing losers in Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, where they could pull down 6 or 7 figures a year (thanks taxpayers!) without ever getting up out of their recliners (or in Weiner’s case, without putting down his phone and putting on his clothes).

Don’t know where they put the well-connected Dim losers these days, although apparently there are several top spots at DOJ and ICE that are available for hyper-partisan political hacks who have no marketable skills or useful knowledge of any type.

“..There’s always weatherman.”

That’s an idea. Maybe Weiner should call Billy Ayers and see if any of his old weathermen buddies have an opening for someone of Weiner’s . . . talents.

AZCoyote on September 4, 2013 at 4:03 PM

“Oh well. There’s always weatherman.”

I’d prefer special emissary to Syria for brokering a ceasefire and negotiations on a unified government.

Dusty on September 4, 2013 at 4:07 PM

Unfortunately, this is far from the last time we will be hearing from Anthony. You see he has a 5 million dollar campaign fund and if he doesn’t run for something he’ll lose control of it. As the only things he’s qualified to do is run for office, be appointed to some meaningless job or sell hamburgers at McDonald’s, his choices are severely limited if he retires. If, however, he runs this year he continues to control his funds. And if he controls his funds he can donate some of them to another politician and that politician will then owe him a favor. The possibilities then become endless: Assistant vice-chairman of the outer Great Lakes advisory board here he comes.

Unfortunately we have seen Weiner’s junk!

Problem with guys like Weiner is they are so full of themselves they do not know when they are not wanted. He’ll run again for mayor next election, or the city council first then mayor. He has no other employable skills and he knows it. He’ll mooch of his wife in the meantime.

The thing that stinks the most in this is that Weiner is pretending that he’s a religious Jew. He most definitely is not. He should be extremely repentant this time of year, in the lead-up to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Instead, he’s combative, insulting, unrepentant and arrogant. He’s right in that we don’t get the final judgment on him. But I’m thinking he has a LOT of atoning to do next week, and I seriously doubt he is going to do it.

L’shana Tovah to the Jewish readers of Hot Air. Have a sweet and happy new year.

Meryl Yourish on September 4, 2013 at 4:30 PM

I think the fact that he is a bully probably trumps his Jewish heritage. He’s married to somebody of the Muslim faith so I suspect he isn’t much of a practicing Jew. But who am I to judge! ;0

L’shana Tovah.

Happy Nomad on September 4, 2013 at 4:54 PM

Ronnie on September 4, 2013 at 4:56 PM

Fine Weiner got what he deserved, seemed like the Clintons decided Weiner’s baggage was too much to be worthy of the NYC top job, yet Bill Clinton is still celebrated and his “wife” is being set up to help him get back into the White House.

So what….Weiner wasnt a pervert in the right way?

Weiner is kind of the 21st century, Bill Clinton.

Their completely opposite career paths, baffles me. Why is one a grand old statesman and the other a pariah?

Weiner Dysfunction Syndrome

Once again Weiner goes off prematurely; this time on a potential constituent. Your “I don’t back down” posture is pretty limp. Keep your head up though Anthony, because win or lose – you are already a Weiner.

ghostwalker1 on September 4, 2013 at 7:42 PM

This is how he acts when he’s begging for votes.

Just imagine how he will act behind closed doors.

To think people like him believe how he acts is not only “normal” or acceptable – but rather that he should be able to do anything he wants.

KMC1 on September 4, 2013 at 9:00 PM

The perfect answer:
“I am a voter. You have asked to judge your fitness to hold the office of Mayor for New York City, where I live. That’s who I am and my authority to judge you.”

An answer that simple would have left Weiner out of arguments.

{^_^}

herself on September 5, 2013 at 3:10 AM

Ending line of the video:

“But it is Rosh Hashanah. Are you going to forgive him?”

Weiner: “of course.”

Silly me, I thought we were supposed to forgive persons who have wronged us. Weiner has magnanimously promised to forgive a man who holds Weiner in the low regard he has admitted that he deserves. Where is the wrongdoing in that?

On another note, I guess 7% of New Yorkers are practicing their forgiveness on Weiner. Have we ever seen such a shameless Jew preying on Jewish voters?
