Ted Cruz: We’d need a grassroots “tsunami” to get the votes to defund ObamaCare

Despite the hailstorm of criticism raining down on Sen. Cruz & friends for the improbable success of their tactical ideas for bringing down ObamaCare, Cruz continued to defend the push on CNN on Sunday morning, conceding that it is “It is going to take a tsunami” of grassroots support and political pressure to get the votes to defund ObamaCare but that “I am going to do everything I can to encourage that tsunami.” Whether or not Cruz thinks the effort really has a shot at the most explicit version of success, he isn’t going to half-ass the effort and is staying bullish about the possibilities as the latest budget fight heats up going into September: “Now is the single best time to stop Obamacare. If it doesn’t happen now, it’s never going to happen.”
