Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

posted at 8:01 am on August 11, 2013 by Allahpundit

Only two options for the Sunday shows this week. Stick to counterterrorism and surveillance, springboarding off of the big Al Qaeda terror threat and Obama’s comments yesterday about the NSA and Snowden, or have perennial Sunday guest John McCain on to blather about Egypt, immigration, defunding ObamaCare, and whatever other topics his mavericky mind leads him to. “Meet the Press,” “This Week,” and Face the Nation” are going the first route. “Fox News Sunday” is going the second. Will McCain once again warn Republicans that they’ll never, ever win another national election if they don’t accept a terrible deal on legalizing illegals now? Tune in and find out!

Meanwhile, on “State of the Union,” Reince Priebus will field awkward questions about whether the RNC also intends to exclude Fox News from the GOP primary debates if Fox Entertainment ends up producing NBC’s Hillary biopic. The full line-up is at Politico.

I am a veteran; That, and four and a half dollars will get me a large cup of fancy Euro-Trash Hot Chocolate with Coffee in it from Starbucks.

Hey, if you show up at one of my Old Retired Guys group monthly breakfasts I’ll buy your breakfast just for showing up and telling a couple of sea (or whatever branch tales) stories. Better coffee than Charbucks too.

Well written post.

I have no respect for McCain at all anymore. The things he is doing to destroy our nation are far more important NOW than his record.

For all the things he did then do not change the fact that he is now an enemy.

READ THE BILL, PEOPLE. S-744ES. If you can’t find the pdf I’ll post the link again.

Not a chance. That wouldn’t be in the spirit of surrender bipartisanship with Democrat friends across the aisle.

:-) No, It’s pretty much coffee for breakfast. We have been known to get together for some adult beverages at other times though.

McCain and Boehner are about as useless in a knife fight as an Alec Baldwin.

anna navarro is a bloody idiot, she’s just like mccain

cmsinaz on August 11, 2013 at 10:40 AM

Who was that crazy woman and how can she claim to be a Republican? I don’t know any Republicans who think like her. Looks like the Libtards have taken over the party if she’s a spokesperson for the GOP. Just like creepy David Gregory to get a fake GOP talking head to beat up one of our good guys.

A commenter over at “The Corner” had this information about Ana, the Hispanic go-to-gal:

tomk

‘Navarro describes herself as a fiscal conservative, foreign policy hawk,
who is also “a pro-gay rights, pro-immigration reform Republican who
believes in climate change.” She is pals with many Democrats, from
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to
former Al Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile.’
