CNN joins the parade with a new Hillary Clinton documentary

posted at 12:21 pm on July 30, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

The major motion picture, the mini-series, and now — the documentary:

CNN Films has tapped documentary filmmaker Charles H. Ferguson to direct a feature-length documentary about former Hillary Clinton, POLITICO has learned.

“CNN is very pleased to be working with Academy-Award winner Charles Ferguson on the film, which will be released in theaters and air on CNN,” Allison Gollust, the network’s senior vice president of communications, told POLITICO on Monday. The release date has yet to be determined.

The film adds yet another installment to the growing list of Hillary-related television projects and books slated for release before the 2016 presidential campaign. But is also presents a potential image problem for CNN’s News division as it covers Clinton in the run up to her highly anticipated bid for the White House.

Gollust told POLITICO, “CNN’s editorial side has no role in the production of the film, just as it has no role in any of the films produced or acquired by CNN Films.”

The powers that be are really going for it on solidifying The Woman, The Myth, The Legend that was/is Hillary Clinton, although I have rather a funny feeling that all of this biographic-entertainment coverage is going to miraculously manage to skating right over the many past moments at which she wasn’t so very trusted and exalted a political figure and end happily in triumph. And it isn’t just the media gunning to beautify her political image; the pro-Clinton PAC formed earlier this year is hauling in some serious dollars in her name, many of which are coming from some of President Obama’s usual mega-donors, again via Politico:

Ready For Hillary, the super PAC with close ties to Clinton confidants, has raised more than $1 million dollars since its inception this year— with a good chunk of the cash coming from mega-donors to President Barack Obama.

While it’s hardly a breathtaking amount of money by today’s standards, the effort drives home the painful message to other potential Democratic presidential hopefuls that Clinton controls the field three years before any votes are cast. …

Political operatives close to Vice-president Joseph Biden, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley say privately that the men will not run if Clinton gets into the race. “He doesn’t have a death wish,” said an advisor to one.

She is Hillary.

John Hinderaker @ Power Line, re. Hillary’s non-existent “qualifications”:

The funny thing about Hillary Clinton is how vastly her reputation exceeds her accomplishments. In reality, the only reason anyone has heard of her is that she married Bill Clinton. Otherwise, she would have toiled away as an obscure, reasonably competent if obnoxious lawyer. She was a relatively unpopular First Lady who is best remembered for being embarrassed by her husband’s serial infidelities. She served a brief term as a Senator from New York, a role in which she achieved nothing. Then she lost the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, and punched her ticket during a singularly unsuccessful stint as Secretary of State. Never has she had an original thought, formulated a successful strategy, or stepped out of the shadow of her singular husband.

But none of that matters: Hillary already has the establishment’s enthusiastic backing as she prepares for her next presidential run.

I love Hillary Clinton. It’s so cool that she is standing by her man while he’s been sexting to that Paula Jones gal.

Hillary, it’s awesome that you haven’t let your Muslim Brotherhood family keep you from having your husband run for Mayor in New York City.

And it’s good that he is going to keep on sexting while he’s in therapy. Is he going to be in recovery with that San Diego Creeper Mayor?

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/07/30/Weiner-Not-Done-Sexting

In a wide-ranging interview with the New York Daily News, Anthony Weiner had an interesting response when he was asked whether he’s still sexting.

The Daily News asked, “There is no one you are sexting now?” Weiner refused to offer an unequivocal denial, answering, “You can quibble about beginnings, middles and ends but what we’re talking about is over a year ago.”

We’re not done yet? Whoo.

Yet when Weiner was asked about whether his behavior was discussed at home, he said:

You must remember this isn’t something that happened yesterday. For us, this is an issue that’s over a year old. And we’d gotten to this really great place with each other and we’d put it behind us to a place where we felt comfortable enough to move ahead to run for mayor. For us, this was a distant event.

He added: “That doesn’t change the fact that it’s very hard to have it come up again.”

That may depend on what Weiner is talking about.

Hillary keep standing by your Weiner man. You’ll do great in 2016.

So, our candidate will “stammer”, will have some issue about women 20 years ago, say something about religion 20 years ago…and we will become divided and choose some nimrod like McCain or Romney, and lose again.

8 years of the left’s fictitious portrayal of Barack Obama jammed down our throats and now we have to stomach them pretending Hillary can be our savior?

Oh Dear God…

rightConcept on July 30, 2013 at 1:18 PM

The sad truth is propaganda works, and so does the bandwagon effect. These upcoming hagiographic documentaries, miniseries, and movies made by dozens of modern-day Leni Riefenstahls are worth millions–perhaps hundreds of millions–of dollars. Combined with ongoing MSM support and rampant (and very well orchestrated) Democratic cheating at the polls, Hillary will be nearly unbeatable.

But get this: she is beatable. Right now, we’re in what Paul Krugman calls a ‘low-level depression’, with no end in sight. In two years or less, we’ll be back in a full-blown recession that the MSM will be unable, despite their best efforts, to cover up. When this happens, Hillary will be in a quandary: she can’t distance herself from the President’s policies. If she does, she’ll be forced to admit that his policies–policies that define the American Left–are flawed or even that maybe possibly could be Obama has been a disastrous president, which she couldn’t risk because such an admission would infuriate the usually faithful African American voting bloc. Thus, Hillary cannot portray herself as Savior. She must act and speak as the defender of the status quo even if the status quo resembles a post-apocalyptic wasteland. A savvy opponent could exploit that weakness.

Hmmm, whats the word I’m looking for here?

Oh yeah: Bulls***

“No role” in the production has a totally different meaning than “no role in or influence on the creative process.”

Does anyone think for a Benghazi minute that if the documentary in question ended up being a brutally honest look at her career, i.e. a hit piece, that the suits at CNN would even run the thing?

And if so does anyone believe that CNN suits aren’t going to be watching over the shoulders of the writers & director every step of the production to make sure the “Hillary Hagiographic Halo” goes on and stays on?

List of Hillary Clinton’s political accomplishments:
1. Was married to a two term philandering president.
2. Introduced legislation to socialize the healthcare industry when her husband was president. It failed miserably and polarized the USA.
3. Managed to become senator of New York where she had no major legislative accomplishments.
4. Was beat in the 2008 democratic presidential race by a virtual unknown rookie senator.
5. As secretary of State, in 2012, failed to secure U.S. interests in Libya, which resulted in the sacking of the Benghazzi annex and the murder of 4 Americans including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

The media won’t have to cover up a thing.

It’s likely the republicans will hold the house next year. It’s possible, though less likely, that the republicans will control the senate as well.

The media will simply blame the economic disaster obama created on republicans. And it will work. Again.

And even if the democrats manage to hold the senate and take over the house again, the media will still blame any bad economic news on the republicans, assuming they can’t cover it up completely (and they are perfectly capable of doing so). More likely, they’ll just keep singing “Happy Days Are Here Again” and the low info voters will believe it in spite of what they see and experience in their own lives.

And it will work. AGAIN!

And you know it. Please stop being so naive.

If the increase in black and young voters from 2004 is cut in half and the decrease in white voters from 2004 is repaired, Republicans win the White House.

Think that Anthony Winner and Eric Holder should run, after all we need more Winner-Holders in Government. Given the Clinton’s background, they are the one and only Hillery Billy Crackers from Arkansas. Never seeing a grass ceiling they didn’t try to get thru. That might make her a valid subject for these infomercials. On the other hand who’s kidding who. It’s another Clinton end run to avoid the law. She is paid for the use of her name and life story. How much, Don’t know but you can bet it’s in the millions. She also gets to influence the public view with a younger, stronger, healthier image, payed by an actor. In the political arena this is definitely a WIN, WIN, WIN for Hilary.
Avoid the campaign Laws, Hire a segregate actor to craft a new public image and pocket a few million dollars, all at the same time.
