The Ed Morrissey Show: Guy Benson, Steven Crowder

posted at 2:51 pm on May 16, 2013 by Ed Morrissey

Today on The Ed Morrissey Show (4 pm ET), Guy Benson brings us up to date on the goings-on inside the nation’s capital, and Steven Crowder returns to discuss his latest video efforts. Bring an umbrella!

The Ed Morrissey Show and its dynamic chatroom can be seen on the permanent TEMS page. Be sure to join us, and donít forget to keep up with the debate on my Facebook page, too!

Want to get away from it all? Why not join Duane “Generalissimo” Patterson and me on a seven-day cruise this summer to Alaska? Starting July 27th, we’ll take the inside passage on Holland America’s MS Zuiderdam:

Come cruise the Alaskan Inside Passage with Generalissimo Duane and Blogger Ed. There is no better place to travel, no better way to travel and no better folks to travel with. Alaska, the last frontier, see it as only Holland America can show it. Come with us as we cruise along miles of pristine coastlines, saddle right up to gigantic blue glaciers and wonder at the incredibly awesome waterfalls, fjords, and free flowing rivers. You will experience magnificent vistas as we sail through the straits of the Inland Passage encountering whales, porpoises, otters, eagles and all kinds of fabulous wildlife. Best of all you will do this while living in the luxury and comfort of the ms Zuiderdam, a premier Holland America ship.

Our Seven day itinerary includes stops along the way where you will have the opportunity to fly fish, pan for gold, partake in Native Alaskan culture, or just take a hike in some of the last virgin lands left in America.

Plus, Duane and I will do our TEMS show live on the ship, discussing politics and culture while traveling in the lap of luxury. Climb aboard!

Or just call a Marine?

Nothing like denigrating a symbol of US power.

Barry hates the military.

Nothing more than petty servants to assuage his every whim. Here and abroad.

Whose flag is behind him? The red one with the crescent and the star?

Sh*tBag of the Year Century.

By the time this year’s over it might well be of the Millennium.

Whose flag is behind him? The red one with the crescent and the star?

Turkey, I believe.

No wonder he called in the Marines.

Akzed on May 16, 2013 at 3:09 PM

This was an insulting use of the Marines.

And—If rain was in the forecast, why didn’t they set things up for the presser in the East Room?

More like arrogance strikes again……it would displease our Imperial President to have to take the time for the WH to be rearranged just to accommodate his servants in the press. Besides, what’s a little rain to fall on the them for 48 minutes anyway.

Genius.

I would not have the patience to deal with this man in person, they certainly do teach discipline in the Marine corp.

I thought totalitarians loved reign.

SparkPlug on May 16, 2013 at 3:43 PM

Well he gets his news from watching it reported on tv, but apparently doesn’t listen to morning weather reports on the radio. Maybe someone should suggest this really awesome website called weather.com to the WH staff, or better yet assign that job to a summer intern, they could probably handle it.

His quote was:

“They’re going to look good, uh, next to us.”

aquaviva on May 16, 2013 at 3:59 PM

I hope the rain short-circuits his teleprompter.

KS Rex on May 16, 2013 at 4:22 PM

So, the marines are grand for umbrella holding, but not rescuing an Ambassador and three other diplomats?

I wonder what the marines feel about all this.
