The epic return of “The rent is too damn high!”

posted at 8:41 pm on April 25, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

Despite the city’s infamous levels of market-distorting rent control, the rent is apparently still too damn high in NYC. After his campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination fell through (oh yeah, that happened), perennial candidate Jimmy McMillan — of 2010 New York gubernatorial debate-fame — is in campaign mode again, this time running to for New York City mayor on his same singular platform.

Well, heck — Anthony Weiner is running, and he can’t even remember how many compromising selfies he may-or-may-not have circulating out there, so why not this guy? He’s back, two thousand trizzy-teen style.

No sodding wonder that Democrat oaf boasted he’d have them voting for the Jacka$$ party for the next 100 years.

Didn’t he turn out to be living in an apartment that was really cheap because of rent control?

Idiocracy.

No longer a satirical motion picture.

Now it is reality.

Like I keep saying, right down to the portrayal of the POTUS.

How…unexpected.

You misspelled “due to”.

Demonstrating why inner-city minorities can’t do math?

(seriously, I have no idea, probably just another perpetual grievance-monger)

When he was in the NY gubernatorial primaries he had the opportunity to get a few well stated grievance in. He turned his spot into a running gag.

More like an attention whore if you ask me.

And this disqualifies him for public office why?

Chuckie Schumer, Andrew Coumo, Eliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, Hillary Clinton (for a while), Michael Bloomberg…… Seems like attention whore is a requirement for the job in NY.

I really like this guy, good to see him back. He’s absolutely clueless in how to lower the rent, but he spices things up.

Apparently he hasn’t paid any rent in decades, and he is supposedly anti-semitic and blames high rents on Jewish landlords:
