LaPierre at CPAC: Biden can keep his advice, we’ll keep our guns, thanks

posted at 2:01 pm on March 15, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

This one was bound to be a crowd-pleaser, what with all of the “advice” gun-control activists have been so very kind enough to dispense on our behalf lately, like our esteemed vice president recommending that we “fire two blasts” outside our homes with a shotgun in the case of an assailant, or a Colorado legislator venturing that us ladies induce vomiting to deter a potential attacker. Brilliant.

LaPierre also has a few things to say about the bill mandating background checks on all gun buyers that got the go-ahead from the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this week — they most definitely will oppose a law that puts undue burdens on and limits the freedoms of law-abiding citizens. “Our Founding Fathers knew that without the Second Amendment and that freedom, all of our freedoms could be in jeopardy… If you aren’t free to protect yourself when government puts its thumb on that freedom, then you aren’t free at all.”

Freedom will be dictated to us.

This is Utopia.

Are our freedoms granted to us by government? No.

We are not subservient to those who we elect.

Was that your garden variety slap Mr. LaPierre?

Oh stop complaining and change their chamber pots.

…they most definitely will oppose a law…

Those of us who are NRA members (lifetime) know that, because we received an email from LaPierre before the bloggers finished their breathless posts about the prior false information.

Feinstein’s experience with guns (Harvey Milk shooting) makes her authoritative and unquestionable.

The NRA’s experience with guns (100 years of safety and proficiency training) makes them biased and irrelevant.

Funny how that works.

“Our Founding Fathers knew that without the Second Amendment and that freedom, all of our freedoms could be in jeopardy… If you aren’t free to protect yourself when government puts its thumb on that freedom, then you aren’t free at all.”

…and so now you know the reason…they are frantic to get our guns! …they have been taking those freedoms at a faster pace the last few years!

Editors: I suggest a piece on Pat Caddell’s blistering attack on the Republican Establishment in a breakout session at CPAC. I hear it was a huge crowd pleaser.

He even coined a new term: CLEC — Consultant Lobbyist Establishment Complex.

Remember Pelosi re the rise of the Tea Party in 2009 and lamenting the woes of a ‘political mob’? Harvey Milk’s dead body was her fave prop too, as I recall. You see, Pelosi was there to witness the madness and mayhem on that fateful day and lived to tell about it to the great benefit of future civilizations.

I don’t get the embarrassing histrionics of the hanky-sniffling women on the Left. Can some super-progressive feminist please enlighten me? They’re such throwbacks to a simple time. I’m actually surprised they haven’t yet feigned the dramatic passing out into the arms of their male brethren.

And btw, that LaPierre speech is smokin’. (pun intended)

LaPierre better not piss off Obama and Biden too much as they have an awful lot of drones and over a billion hollow points.

Note Ann Coulter‘s position on female Democrat offence at actually being asked an analytical question.

So DiFi has had her little bill tucked away waiting for some horrific event to give it legs? She wasn’t alone, look at the “sudden” outpouring of state and local bills with the same intent. These people have been waiting a long time. Thankfully, the NRA wasn’t waiting. They have been preparing for this since Columbine.

La Pierre has guts which is more than can be said for the other side. Keep up the good work, Wayne, and we will be there with you because you can’t do this alone.
