She was saying how the economy is improving and will continue to improve and real estate prices will be going up.

As I was listening to her I was thinking about the HotAir post the other day about how we’ve reached an all time high for the amount of people on food stamps. This was completely ignored by the same MSM who broke out the champagne when the death toll in Iraq reached a certain number (I think it was 5,000).

Business in my office does seem to be a little better these past few months, but I’ve seen this all before. The MSM tells people that things are starting to get better. So people go out and start spending a little more. Then they see that it’s not getting better and things slump back to where they were before.

The bottom line is that there’s absolutely nothing about Obama’s policies that are geared toward economic growth. It’s like watching a football team that has a record of 2 wins and 8 losses, and thinking that they’re going to win their next 6 games simply because the MSM says they’re getting better.

So yeah, if I am some stupid brain dead partisan, I’d be trying to inject Mitt Romney into the picture too.

The critical fallacy in your suggestion, is assuming that Obama gives a rats a$$ what the voters think or want. He does not. Nor is there any indication that he cares what the consequences for his fellow Democrats might be regarding his accomplishing his end goals.

He fully expects the various elected democrat officials to fall on their swords to hep solidify what he believes are the advancements he has made thus far in “Fundamentally Transforming” America into a Marxist Utopia.

If his poll numbers drop far enough, it’ll be such that red state Democrats and a large number of tossup state Democrats will find it to their advantage to hammer the President and revolt. Obama relies on a cohesive Senate majority and House minority, as well as the peeling off of weaker RINOs from the GOP in order to do his bidding. With low poll numbers, too many Democrats are going to see tangible benifits and have political cover to tell him to sit on it and rotate, at which point he may find himself making deals not with Republicans, but with his own caucus, out of fear that Congressional Democrats will tarnish his glorious legacy because of their backward-thinking intransigence.

Barack Obama is a creature of ego, first and foremost. If he is unable to satisfy and soothe his ego, he will take great steps to ensure that, at the very least, his legacy remains untouched. His narcissism is a huge liability to this nation, but also to himself, and it makes him very predictable.

Cry me a river. You sad sacks voted for him, so you’re stuck. Eat your peas.

The bottom line is that these people voted for Obama, took a four year look, then did it again. He’s never given the faintest impression that his concern is to represent that public. So why should he care what they think?

Ah the traditional “yell squirrel” technique. The election is over and thanks to greedy stupid people and outright fraud we got what we got- a lazy socialist bastard.

Yet, some would rather keep the general campaign battle alive rather than deal with the present reality. I wouldn’t want to defend the rat-eared wonder either. Instead of dealing with the Obama sequester of 2011, he is out there golfing in Florida with Tiger while the rest of his worthless family is on a ski trip to Aspen. All of them spending millions in taxpayer dollars. Of course this was after 5200 miles of campaigning against sequester instead of trying to reach a different solution with the Congress.

Then there is the 20 car motorcade to get him to that dinner with 12 RINOs.

And we still don’t have his budget submission for 2014 but we do know who is going to headline Mooch’s birthday party next January.

The White House tours are cancelled but we know that the travel budget for the rat-eared wonder and his family remains untouched. In fact, they’re doing their usual multi-million (taxpayer) trip to Nantucket for the month of August.

So yeah, if I am some stupid brain dead partisan, I’d be trying to inject Mitt Romney into the picture too.

In the meantime, Americans who voted to re-elect this idiot get zero sympathy from me no matter how badly they suffer.

Obama has an agenda and no chance of reelection. He probably couldn’t care less about any numbers at this point.

I think that sums it up nicely.

The genital public opinion is always lagging by about 2-4 weeks.

Barry’s high water numbers were holiday residuals.

These numbers are the hangover from the tax spike, the tangible realization inflation is setting in and changes to insurance policies.

You’re not going to be thrilled with the economy when your spouse gets dropped or your rate jumps.

You ain’t going to love $4 gas combined with store increases.

On top of waving bye-bye to the payroll holiday and other jumps

and that’s all while filing your taxes.

I wouldn’t be so sure. This time, the drop does feel different. The press has been writing semi-critical questions about the sequester PR moves and even Congressional Democrats are saying they’re nervous over the budget battles to come. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m saying that (maybe for the first time) the President may have to actually make some deals to satisfy the voters, and perhaps can’t simply rely on unicorn dust anymore.

I don’t really see that Obama has anything to worry about where the voters are concerned. He’s not running for re-election and he has suffered bouts of unpopularity before, always coming out on top. Even if the Republicans win, is there any evidence that they will block most of his agenda? Doubt it. They will pick 1-2 “hot button” issues and then pass everything else.

And this assumes the Republicans don’t pass amnesty, which they almost certainly will. At that point it no Republican will ever win election again.
