I feel the same way… but if it ends up him or Hillary. BUSH hands down.

If as First Lady you remain separate from the political fray – you should be left out of it. If you choose to involve yourself, making snide comments about your fellow republicans. For example telling Palin she should stay in Alaska – then you really do not deserve that courtesy.

Listen. If I wanted to get a “mad” on, it would have been at Barbara Bush’s infuriating comments when I was with the Red Cross post-Katrina. First Ladies deserve respect. Period.

He probably waltzes to the nomination if Jeb Bush shoves out people like Rubio and Jindal.

Whatever else happens in 2016, waltzing won’t be one of them. And certainly not for this earnest stiff.

BTW, apparently the news across the Twitters is that Ryan is probably running now. Which makes sense. He probably waltzes to the nomination if Jeb Bush shoves out people like Rubio and Jindal.

What Paul was speaking about was NOT a particularly libertarian position, and yet almost everyone that has reported on it has made this FALSE claim.

Agreed. They’re getting it wrong across the entire constellation of conservative commentariat. It’s like they didn’t listen to the filibuster. Or did and have decided how they want it to be interpreted. It’s fascinating when the most educated among us are the least able to apprehend, or the most willing to misapprehend and/or propagandize. They must be really afraid. Depressing.

If he is the nominee, GOP will not get my vote. 3rd party here I come!

I’m beginning to wonder if the GOP is becoming addicted to losthing. We’ve lost our minds if we are even entertaining the idea of another Bush as standard bearer.

You’d think the Paul/McCain dust-up yesterday would warrant one or two navel-gazing segments about libertarianism, interventionism, and the “fight for the soul of the GOP” or whatever.

Is it an issue of stupidity or pathology? I’m going with pathology. In any case, the fact Bush is on six shows and Paul none illustrates the culture-wide coalition of pathology, and why this will be harder to defeat than mere stupidity.

Yup. It appears cruelty is only allowed if it is aimed at the right person. Yes, Barbara’s old and it’s a little uncomfortable to call her out on her hypocrisy and life of power and privilege. Barbara’s had an amazing life but I wanted to grind up my pearl necklace after her remark. As a former First Lady, she can afford to be more gracious to others, including the former Governor from Alaska, and stay above the fray, but she didn’t.

….but now, we have activist Progressive, big gov loving first advocates not first ladies and when they dive into the political realm they must deal with the same criticisms that their spouses do.

As far as “respect“?……..really? Generational patricians that suck off the federal teat and help enrich themselves and their friends and family and then try to grow their power at the expense of individual liberty deserve respect? Mmmmm, no I don’t think these blood suckers that have robbed my chillins and grandchillins of their ability to prosper and live a better life deserve it.
