<blockquote>Going back to a feudal society. There will be the nobility and us peasants.

That's Socialism right there in a nutshell.

As soon as the industrial revolution enabled peasants to earn as much as nobility, the artsy, intellectual nobles, who were more interested in culture and philosophy than figuring out ways to double and triple their trust funds, started squealing about the seamy nature of Capitalism. They played on the class envy of the less ambitious peasants, and went on and on about "equality". But they were never contemptuous of the old money crowd. They were contemptuous of the nouveau riche.

It's always been about the tacky, gluttonous nouveau riche....the peasants who don't know their proper place. That's what anti-Americanism is all about....."who do those tacky, gluttonous Americans think they are becoming the richest most powerful nation in the world, with their football and their fast food and their awful TV shows and their gas guzzling cars?".

It's never been about the working class or "the little guy". They're just an audience to play to. It's about a return to the old order, where everyone is either a peasant or a noble, and nothing in between. No stinkin' small business owners mucking up the old order.

<blockquote>Speak for yourself! I plan on finding a watery tart to throw me a <strike>sword</strike>AR-15, or something an RPG.</blockquote>
<blockquote>Meh, these days a sword, or something, just doesn’t do it for me. I must have more firepower!

Beat me to it.
With all the comments on HA over the last couple months about people losing their guns in lakes, there should be some well armed watery tarts out there perhaps willing to throw out a few scary looking guns with high mag assault clips.....

I'll lead the charge on the Castle Anthrax....

Well, let's face it, the entire Constitution is just an archaic piece of parchment that has no place in the modern world, right?

This is coming:

In order to purchase a firearm, each purchaser must produce the United Gun Owners Union ID card.

If purchaser is not a member of the UGOU, membership will become automatic upon completion of the sale. Annual dues not to exceed $5,000 per annum will be collected by the IRS through federal income tax returns and transferred to the UGOU treasurer.

Step-by-step disarmament is what they have in mind. First by regulation and registration; making guns and ammo prohibitively expensive, scarce and very difficult to purchase; as well as very easy to track. They are creating arbitrary laws that will criminalize law-abiding citizens in hopes of scaring many of them into giving up their guns. They will forbid private gun sales or transfer of gun ownership; they will forbid transfer of guns from state to state; then finally, when enough people have been disarmed through these incremental means, they will threaten those that will not give up their guns with HARSH penalties. For those last remaining few who do not give in, they will confiscate their guns by force. Survivors will be incarcerated. We need to stand firm and not let them succeed. Those that give in weaken the rest of us. The 2nd Amendment was written for just this sort of situation. Game on!
