I am completely disgusted. I put my heart, prayers, and soul into the 2012 campaign because we have a disabled child who will be hurt by Obummercare. My husband is retired military. Thanks to Obummer cancelling contracts in favor of hiring yet more government workers my husband has only had 2 months work over the last year. The only health insurance we can afford is the military’s Tricare program. The government is breaking its promise to provide retirees and their family with health care at reasonable rates and it really angers me because my husband wouldn’t leave the military sooner because he always said we needed the health care. (Our child is so disabled that Tricare was already going to have to insure her for life.) Now our medical expenses are going up, up, up. I’m an unemployed pharmacist (was laid off thanks to too many illegals invading our little hospital and not paying anything) and I’m having to decide what health care my husband (who is also partly disabled, thanks to serving in Iraq and Afghanistan) and I can do without so we can pay for medical care for our children. The military retiree organization that keeps us informed has found out that Obummer’s real plan is to cancel our health insurance and tell us to go buy insurance from the exchanges or to make Tricare unaffordable for most retirees. We will not be able to afford insurance from the exchanges. Our health insurance will be gone – it will be as if my husband had never served his country for 24 years.

We are only surviving now on my husband’s meager retired pay and help from relatives. We are living on one-third to one-half of our former income and I am completely disgusted that the Republicans would try to pull a stunt like this. I want to know more about Senator Ron Johnson saying that Boehner will lose the speakership if he caves this time. I feel like we don’t even have a country anymore, that I’m living in some foreign land or something. Where did my country go?

Ya know, if Barry suggested to the nation that “we” would be better off in making him our permanent leader and there is simply no one better suited for being Imperial President (TM) and also do away with that divisive, obstructive, and prettynearuseless CONgress, I betcha he’d get a lot more support than we could imagine.

Why has not one reporter asked the rogues gallery of cabinet and agency officals predicting doom over sequestration a very simple and obvious question.

For example: Secretary LaHood, please explain why you can’t run your department with the $74B you’re getting. Are you honestly sitting there and telling the American public that there isn’t one dime expended out of your department that could be cut to meet the current fiscal realities?

I heard yesterday on Fox that it’s reported there’s SEVERAL BILLION DOLLARS that the Dept. of Trans. CAN’T ACCOUNT FOR. In other words, “it’s missing or cannot be accounted for.”

Not “even” several MILLION but SEVERAL BILLION DOLLARS. Just gone,, absent, “missing” spent on unknown activities and/or persons…no one can say where it “went”, SEVERAL BILLION DOLLARS.

It is ENTIRELY UNTOWARD that our federal govt. has command over quite so much money every year from taking it from hardworking (and under duress) taxpayers and then squanders it or worse, “loses track of it in the billions of dollars” in just one agency and that’s not addressing the “other billions” other dept.s have somehow “lost” or squandered.

It’s IMPLAUSIBLE that our federal govt. can’t curtail expenses, it’s just implausible beyond the point of criminality that the current pretense is being made by Obama and the Left that there’s some impossibility of reducing debt and spending.

During President Barack Obama’s meeting with U.S. governors at the White House Monday, the president dismissed members of the press to hold a private, hourlong discussion with the visiting state executives. Whatever was said after the cameras left the room especially incensed South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley. . . .
“I could not be more frustrated than I am right now,” Haley told reporters after the meeting. She said that when she asked Obama if he would consider a last-minute plan to shave about 2 percent from the annual federal budget without increasing taxes, the answer was “no.”
“My kids could go and find $83 billion out of a $4 trillion budget,” Haley said. “This is not rocket science.”

The White House of “NO”

Much like Bill Clinton looked at the American people in the face and LIED by saying, “I did not have sex with that woman’, President Obama – once AGAIN (seemingly DAILY these days) – looked into our eyes and LIED by saying, “Our government doe not have a Spending Problem.” REALLY? Your tax dollars were used for the following last year:

1. “RoboSquirrel.” $325,000 was spent on a robotic squirrel named “RoboSquirrel.” This National Science Foundation grant was used to create a realistic-looking robotic squirrel for the purpose of studying how a rattlesnake would react to it.

2. Cupcakes. In Washington, D.C., and elsewhere across the country, cupcake shops are trending. The 10 cupcake shop owners who received $2 million in Small Business Administration loan guarantees, however, can only boast so much of their entrepreneurial ingenuity, since taxpayers are backing them up.

3. Food stamps for alcohol and junk food. Though they were intended to ensure hungry children received healthy meals, taxpayer-funded food stamps were instead spent on fast food at Taco Bell and Burger King; on non-nutritious foods such as candy, ice cream, and soft drinks; and on some 2,000 deceased persons in New York and Massachusetts. Food stamp recipients spent $2 billion on sugary drinks alone. Improper SNAP payments accounted for $2.5 billion in waste, including to one exotic dancer who was making $85,000 per year.

4. Beer brewing in New Hampshire. Despite Smuttynose brewery’s financial success and popularity, it is still getting a $750,970 Community Development Block Grant to build a new brewery and restaurant facilities.

5. A covered bridge to nowhere. What list of government waste would be complete without a notorious “bridge to nowhere”? In this case, it’s $520,000 to fix the Stevenson Road Covered Bridge in Green County, Ohio, which was last used in 2003.

6. A reality TV show in India. The Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program spends $200 million a year to help U.S. agricultural trade associations and cooperatives advertise their products in foreign markets. In 2011, it funded a reality TV show in India that advertised U.S. cotton.

7. Studying pig poop. The Environmental Protection Agency awarded a $141,450 grant under the Clean Air Act to fund a CHINESE study on swine manure and a $1.2 million grant to the United Nations for clean fuel promotion. (We borrowed money from the CHINESE & gave it BACK to the CHINESE to fund a study. They benefitted from that money & now we have to pay that money back to them because we borrowed it from THEM to begin with! SERIOUSLY?!)

8. Amtrak snacks. Federally subsidized Amtrak lost $84.5 million on its food and beverage services in 2011 and $833.8 million over the past 10 years. It has never broken even on these services.

9. Using military exercises to boost bio-fuels. The U.S. Navy bought 450,000 gallons of bio-fuels for $12 million—or almost $27 per gallon—to conduct exercises to showcase the fuel and bring it closer toward commercialization. It is the largest biofuel purchase ever made by the government.

10. Conferences for government employees. In 2008 and 2009 alone, the Department of Justice spent $121 million to host or participate in 1,832 conferences. (This is the same Justice Department whose head perpetrated 3 FELONY counts of PERJURY before Congress over.

Obama is running around the country fulfilling his role as ‘Fear Monger-In-Chief’, scaring people over cuts to the amount of projected INCREASED DEFICIT-SPENDING, not even over STOPPING deficit-spending, passing a BALANCED Budget, or even passing a budget (which he hasn’t done in 4 years)! Anyone who wants to give him MORE flexibility to do what he wants is insane!

“You don’t want to have to choose between, let’s see, do I close funding for the disabled kid or the poor kid?

I love the mentality behind this. So much more “personal” than saying….. You don’t want to have to choose, let’s see, do I bail out the UAW pension funds or give money to my fundraisers for fake energy companies.

Except, of course, that not all the cuts go to DoD. The $40-odd billion for DoD are painful enough (about 8% of baseline) without his poor math making it sound worse.

Either way, this is stupid for the Senate GOP. The House had this right last year: same level of cuts, but well-delineated where they fall. Don’t make the cuts indiscriminate–but also don’t leave all cuts up to the CinC.

The One apparently is getting a little worried.

You would think that by now, if the Pubs were serious (I know–they’re not), they’d realize the MSM won’t allow Obama to be held responsible for any of his schemes that don’t work. And, if someone else does something good (like the one who actually shot bin Laden), O will get the credit.

I don’t know either. But, I do think that it all ties back to Boomtown, what Hannity aired on his show a couple of weeks ago. I think that they are all in cahoots, just looking out for themselves.

Not that it matters the country is doomed given future unfunded liabilities and the moochers and looters.

Just asking: who would be the “best” to be leader of the GOP House?

Name the existing person already in Congress who would be the best to be taking the preferred, better course at this time.

I’m just asking. I don’t know the answer to that.
