Louis Farrakhan: You know, when he talks about the Jewish lobby, Chuck Hagel sounds a little like me

posted at 8:41 pm on February 25, 2013 by Allahpundit

The cloture vote’s tomorrow. Confirmation seems a fait accompli. Is there no man in all the land who, through his sheer odiousness, can stop this train with an anti-endorsement — a sort of demonus ex machina?

Perhaps there is, my friends. Perhaps there is.

“Now wait,” Farrakhan told the crowd. “He said this to Aaron David Miller in the book The Much-Too-Promised Land. And guess what? I said the same thing 30 years ago at the National Press Club in Washington, and they have not left me alone since. Special interests along with Zionist AIPAC are robbing America of the principle of democracy and representative government. The record is there. Now, 30 years later, after beating the heck out of me for all those years, they’re finally getting up enough courage to tell it like it is.”

After arguing that the media is controlled by Jewish interests, he applauded Hagel’s nomination. “Senator Hagel is in trouble,” Farrakhan said. “But America needs a man in Congress like that, who’s not a rubber stamp for others. You need a man like Senator Hagel as your secretary of defense because a man with a mind like that will keep you out of fighting somebody else’s wars. You need a man in government that has another opinion that is not controlled, and if the Senate does not confirm him as defense secretary because of his opinion on Israel, that only proves that the Senate in the U.S. Congress is controlled by the Israeli lobby. And it also sentences America to war with Iran for the state of Israel.”

This is like a pass to the end zone from the 45-yard-line with no time left. There’s Richard Shelby, leaping for the ball. Will he come down with it, or is he determined to let this one fall incomplete? Just kidding: Like I told you before, there’ll probably be closer to 70 votes for Hagel tomorrow than 60. We’re down by more than a touchdown here. A last second Hail Mary will only narrow the final margin of defeat.

Exit question: When Farrakhan says Hagel (who, to remind you, voted to invade Iraq) will keep us out of “fighting somebody else’s wars,” is he making an exception for U.S. peacekeepers in the Palestinian territories? Because Hagel evidently thinks that’s a swell idea.

Hagel rhymes with bagel.

Betcha he hates the sound of his own name.

With endorsements like this one plus the Iranian support, no wonder the Prez is desparate to have him aboard. Very few politicians are available with that resume.

KW64 on February 25, 2013 at 8:46 PM

There could be a “Hagel bagel”

It’s made without preservatives and goes bad just moments out of the oven

Calypso Louie and The Bagel.

Sounds like a 1970′s hip movie.

Crazy Louis is still smarting because he watched his friend, Quidaffi, get the stick before they killed him.
I hear Rev. Wright has burned down all the trees on his estate.
Keep talking about Hagel, Loius.

Is Hagel into numerology and space ships too?

He’s a man of many talents but not much intellect. A rare find for a prospective Secretary of Defense.

Have I mentioned that I graduated from high school with one of that imbecile’s sons? I sat about 2 desks away from him in 11th grade US history. He must’ve known that I was Jewish and conservative-I’ve never been a shrinking violet-but he never caused me any trouble. A few years after I graduated, my brother-the dopehead-naderite started junior high. One of the grand-daughters started causing problems. She stopped after my brother-who was tall even then-threatened to knock her Jew-hating self into the next century.

Corker, who won re-election in 2012, will vote to confirm. Alexander, who is up for re-election in 2014, will vote no.

Bet me.

Getting desperate aren’t you AP? You haven’t been able to find any of Hagel’s speeches to Friends of Hamas?

Question, after Hagel is confirmed will we continue to see “Hagel is a secret Arab agent” headlines on Hot Air?

Until then, continue on with your fishing expedition.

The last time I checked Hagel’s salary will be paid by US taxpayers and not Israel. So as long as he is not anti US taxpayer I could care less if he is anti Israel.

Since many American taxpayers are Jewish, and since Jews probably pay a higher proportion of Federal Income Taxes based on their population as compared to other races that would be more a valid objection.

No they are not sadsushi.

Being anti-Israel means you are anti-Jewish. Hagel is anti-Jewish which means he is not a fan of Israel but his hatred is clearly aimed at the people and not the nation. He’d be perfectly happy with an Israel run by the PLA.

So Jews are evil and rich? Predictable. Question: if Hagel came out tomorrow and said that “it’s a bad policy to retaliate against a nuclear strike” would you still support his nod?

We are engaged, at the moment, with a fanatical global movement dedicated to our destruction/submission.

So is Israel.

With the same fanatical movement.

In such a situation, anyone who thinks cooperation with Israel is not in the American tax-payer’s interest is blinded, either by hatred or stupidity, to a degree that they are dangerously unqualified.
