Almost universally, in cases where random drug tests are executed on the job, alcohol is considered a drug and included in the tests. So, yes.

As to your opinion on the danger associated with each, it is just that: an opinion.

Thanks, but empirical evidence (yes, anecdote is not data, that’s why I say “evidence) that has happened before my very eyes is not “brainwashed”.

As to this, I agree that the federal government has no business regulating drugs that aren’t involved in interstate commerce (or international). But, that’s true of a whole lot of things they have their fingers in. Problem is, we aren’t going to fix that problem anytime soon – and marijuana laws is probably a bad place to begin to renew the federalist spirit. Of course, it might be the only way we get the low information stoners voters on our side.

Most employment situations in this country are “at will” meaning that either the employer or the employee can terminate the arrangement at any time for any reason. The company I work for has a number of policies that I must abide by (drug/alcohol free while at work, dress code, etc). If I have a problem with any of these, I am free to quit my job at any time. That’s hardly fascism.

At least with the legalization of it more people will be able to get away from drug dealers. I don’t think most people that smoke pot want anything to do with any other drug other then alcohol.

In general I think you are probably correct but don’t forget about Red Bulls and of course Mountain Dew. Caffeine and THC go together quite well, in fact, better than THC and alcohol. They really need to do something about alcohol, though. It slows a person’s thinking, slows their reactions and generally turns them into self-righteous a-holes. Oh yeah, been there, done that. Didn’t work. Those who ignore the past…

My company tests for drugs. My employees all know at the time they’re hired they have to pass an initial test and can be tested at random, any damned time I please. If they don’t like it, they don’t have to work for me. Due to the litigious nature of our society, I’d be insane not to have a drug free company policy. I’m sure not going to risk losing everything so an employee can smoke a joint on their day off.

its was never voluntary,companies were bribed by the government to do what the constitution forbid them to do, and yes, that is to control my private life. if iam intoxicated at work,thats one thing,but if I smoke weed while watching Daytona on sunday, and test positive on Monday (not impaired) just in my system,yes that is wrong and you should deplore the practice,and yes it fascist.

It’s called professionalism. Not all major business test for drugs because they were forced to, some actually want their employees to look professional. That is obviously lost on you.

I can agree with a lot of what you say.

but yes the constitution does give me a right to persue my happiness.we all persue our own personel happiness,and I believe that is why john lock changed the persuit of property to the persuit of happiness.

if all drug users were out there destroying property and killing and infringing on other people rights,theres nothing anybody would be able to about it. were already bursting at the seams with 1.8 million in the penal system. if all drug user’s are violent criminals,just how in the hell would we control the estimated 30-50 million drug user’s if they all started committing REAL CRIMES?
