If the govs would all just make a mandatory reg (if Obama can, so may they!) All fed income tax must be sent through them –where they hold it in escrow until such time as the feds say uncle.
Names and amount paid and the reception date will be fowarded to Washington.This is true sociqal justice, particularly for those states that pay 3 to 1 what they receive (not to mention mandates.)

That is a great idea – then let the states and the feds fight it
out in the courts – which should take enough time that we can
right the wrongs of the federal government.

Of course, employers will be confused and apprehensive about
their payroll taxes going to the state instead of the feds.
Everyone is afraid of the feds. I imagine they will send their
goons to intimidate the employers.

It’s really just another Welfare plan when you come down to it. The Country is broke and these Governors want the Feds to borrow more money from our enemies and add more debt to our Nation.

I agree that the more these red State Govs cave, the harder it will be on the others to not do so.

Even if the Feds fulfill their “promise” of funding, which I wouldn’t believe, what happens when that money is gone? Sorry all you people, no more benefits? No, it will be major tax increases on the State. So we increase taxes then on taxpayers (workers) to pay benefits for those that don’t. Isn’t that what we do now via the IRS codes? Shaking my head here.

If Florida has 800,000 low income people that could use medical help, how is Gov. Scott supposed to say, I’ve got 800,000 needy people and someone else is willing to pay 90% of their bills, but I think that’s a bad idea? You all may be purists, but that is a hard sell, and to what end?

To what end? How ’bout not wanting to be a part of adding trillions to the national debt? CBO estimates, even under about the rosiest of projections says that, before the beginning of the next decade, Obamacare would increase the national debt by $341 billion. And we all know how good the CBO is at estimating now, don’t we?

Heck knows the Obama progressive marxist/socialist/communist
thug regime has broken many laws.

I can’t believe it isn’t illegal to give states that go along
with Obama’s thug tactics the money from other states that do not.

I also can’t believe that it is legal for the president’s regime
to give states their share of federal income tax proceeds on
a whim. There must be a formula adhered to somewhere, altho I
have no clue what it is.

Or is the rule “whomever kisses Obama’s behind”?

It is disheartening and it concerns me that other Republican governors are folding. January 1, 2014 is the date that lower income people in these other states will be able to sign up for Medicaid. On that day if North Carolinians look around and see that people in Florida and Ohio, and most other states in the country can get this health coverage while that option is denied to them in North Carolina, plenty will point to the Governor’s continued opposition as a huge negative. Voters who see this picture of who can get Medicaid health coverage in all these other states may not be so willing to forgive this rejection of federal help for expanding Medicaid coverage in NC. In other words, every time one of these spineless pukes cave in, they are making it harder for us to keep our state “red”. We have Republican super majorities in the state legislature and added McCrory in ’12. It’s going to be quite a battle to keep it that way.

The other may just be math. One way or another, ObamaCare is going to drive tens of thousands off private insurance, and if states don’t take the Medicaid expansion money, a very attractive short-term deal, they are still going to get stuck for the emergency care costs of those without insurance without Uncle Barack picking up the check.
