If I had tried to guess on Saturday which Sunday talk show would get the most contentious, the pairing of John McCain with NBC’s David Gregory on Meet the Press would have come in last on my most-likely list

Must I spell it out for you? McCain said HE doesn’t believe Hagel is qualified. The rest of the senate doesn’t share that belief. McCain is not about to make enemies with his colleagues when he knows he’s in the minority. He got it on the record that he doesn’t believe Hagel is qualified. He’s made his point. And he also knows he’s outnumbered. He knows when to drop it.

David Gregory, on the other hand, doesn’t see an issue. Take that for what it’s worth.

You’re too kind. Gregory was very obviously just pushing back against the very notion that Obama might be involved in a coverup.

The people who tell us every day what’s going on in the world are partisan hacks trying their best to protect and defend a Democratic president, rather than live up to the reputed ideals of journalism. When people talk about the Obama coverup of Benghazi, they rouse themselves to try to paint that as lunatic extremism.

It’s not that they don’t ask political leaders hard questions. It’s just that the only political leaders who get hard questions are the ones who don’t worship at the feet of Obama. Those people, they’ll interrogate. Obama? He gets the kid glove treatment.

Understand that, and you’ll understand the bile and loathing of Sarah Palin. She dared to mock Obama as an empty suit standing amid styrofoam Greek pillars. She had to be destroyed!!

And anyone else who is effective against Obama will get the same treatment.

McCain did good on this segment, but it would have been better if he had asked Gregory why exactly the president was still trying to blame it all on a video 10 days after the attack. There’s no answer for that, and Gregory would have been sputtering with impotent fury.

Reagan on up have been pretty good at doing all this. Seems like the main thing you listed is to have the “press” on your side. Even the Libtards in the LSM (grudgingly) seemed to like Reagan.

Unfortunately we’re fresh out of well-known, Conservative actors with union leadership and Democratic Party membership/networking, high popularity with big Blue Dog and indy support, and the experience of governing a huge blue state under their belts.

It was wrong for the President to allow those men to be killed. He could not be bothered because he was campaigning. The American people were blinded by propagandist media. This type of news should have been on the front burner. He did not show leadership.

What exactly is the point of “advise and consent” if the qualifications of the nominee are irrelevant?

Is this man as big an occasional fool as he appears to be or is he just too damned impressed with his self-anointed maverick label?

1. Four officials of the State department submit resignations day prior to release of independent panel release. Last heard of 26 December 2012. Never left the State Department never heard of since.
2. General Ham relieved of Command. Retires. Never heard of since.
3. General Petraeus resigned from CIA. Never heard of again.
4. Hillary Clinton Resigns as Sectary State. Not heard from since testimony.
5. Leon Penetta resigned from the Department of defense. Not heard from since testimony.
6. People rescued from the Embassy. Not heard from since.
7. Obama makes no phone call and gets reelected for four more years.

Is their some thing I am missing here?
