And the most popular politician in America, is…

posted at 3:41 pm on February 8, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

No, it’s not President Diva — its his defeated opponent from the 2008 Democratic primary, with whom he recently sat down for a back-patting, softball-lobbing travesty of a ‘major’ interview.

For anyone thinking that the deathly debacle that was the terrorist attack on Benghazi might do something to put a dent in Hillary Clinton’s (for some reason) revered reputation… Cant. Touch. This. (Anecdotal reality-check sidebar: The informal polling from amongst Erika’s cohorts? Most of them barely or don’t even know what Benghazi is.)

From Quinnipiac:

President Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, but today the former Senator and Secretary of State is more popular, with a 61 – 34 percent favorability rating among American voters, compared to the president’s 51 – 46 percent favorability, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

President Obama has a split 46 – 45 percent job approval, according to the independent Quinnipiac (KWUIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll, down from 53 – 40 percent approval among registered voters in December, a month after his re-election. …

Ms. Clinton’s favorability is higher than those measured for other national figures:

46 – 41 percent for Vice President Joseph Biden;

25 – 29 percent for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, with 45 percent who don’t know enough about him to form an opinion;

20 – 42 percent for House Speaker John Boehner;

27 – 15 percent for Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, with 57 percent who don’t know enough;

34 – 36 percent for U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan; …

Of course, Clinton hasn’t had to contend with the pesky political difficulties of presiding that President Obama has, and to the layman’s knowledge she’s spent the past four years being Very Busy and Important; if she enters the 2016 race as a partisan politician once more and has to shed the above-the-fray Secretary of State mantle, some of that popularity will dissipate, and all of the reasons for which the Democrats went with Obama will come rushing back (although, this time, a better alternative isn’t likely to present itself).

Still, it’s not a bad place to start — not bad at all, and this is coming on the heels of a poll from PPP on Thursday that posed a hypothetical match-up between Clinton and Sen. Marco Rubio, with Clinton coming out on top:

New PPP polls both nationally and in Iowa find Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton leading the way for their party’s respective 2016 nominations, with Clinton leading Rubio by 8 points in a hypothetical head to head. …

On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton continues to dominate both nationally and in Iowa. Nationally she’s at 58% to 19% for Joe Biden, 8% for Elizabeth Warren, and 3% for Andrew Cuomo. She’s even stronger in Iowa at 68% to 21% for Biden with no one else over 2%. Her favorability rating with Democrats there is 90/5.

It still feels way to early to be talking about 2016, and yet… I can’t look away.

That’s what scares me. Yes, her popularity will inevitably take a hit if/when she runs again. Yes, indies and almost all Republicans will be reminded very quickly why they used to despise her so much. Yes, the failure of Obama’s 8 years in office will hurt the Democrat brand and damage her candidacy somewhat. And yes, her age and decrepit appearance will hurt her amongst male voters(even if they’d never admit it to pollsters).

But with a sycophantic media in her corner, an electorate as ignorant as the one that reelected Obama, and women and libs desperate to make history yet again instead of electing someone who’ll actually save this country from insolvency, the odds will be stacked very high against whomever the GOP nominates.

Bill Clinton era nostalgia would be a big factor in her favor. In fact, one could almost argue that the worse Obama does in his 2nd term, the more it could actually help Hillary. She could sell her candidacy as a return to the glory days of the 90′s economy. And sadly, I’d bet a lot of people would buy into that.

People want the good old days back… and a President enjoying his free time in the hands (literally) of female interns is for most Americans a fair trade off for the prospect of a balanced budget and robust job growth.

Of course that’s not realistic, it’s tantamount to chasing a mirage. The fall of US manufacturing and rise of China cannot be reversed, nor can the ongoing transition of the US to a post-industrial economy that excludes far too many people who unfortunately lack the right skills.

But the promise is enough to deliver Hillary the White House.

What is interesting about it is that the Wicked Witch had a fourteen point lead against all the challengers beside Krispy Kreme. Now she is barely ahead of Biden in terms of them in one month. So that tells you how stupid these polls are. All it tells me is that the Rs have some repair work to do and nobody knows who Rubio is right now. Second, there is an agenda going on with PPP. They’re trying to dissuade any Hillary challengers. They’re also trying to clear the R field for her, so that say Rubio decides to remain in the Senate in 2016.

Bill and Hillary Clinton should be in prison for crimes against humanity for what they did to their fellow citizens at Waco, TX, on April 19, 1993. The Waco Massacre and church burning (it was not a “compound,” it was their church),was the most brutal, heinous violation of civil, human and Constitutional rights in this nation’s history. Innocent men, women and children were attacked with tanks, poison gas (CS gas turns to cyanide when heated) and burned alive. Those who ran from the church were machine-gunned as documented in the movie “Waco, The Rules of Engagement.” If you doubt how bad this was consider that you never hear the left stream media talk about it. They want it erased from history but this memorial site will remain forever:
http://www.wizardsofaz.com/waco/waco2.html
And if that weren’t bad enough, Clinton’s thugs then stuck a machine gun in the face of a 5 year old boy and sent him to the communist gulag known as Cuba: http://www.therealcuba.com/elian_gonzalez.htm
Let’s hope Clinton isn’t teaching President Prompter too many of his old tricks! Here is a list of the children murdered at Waco:
Lisa Martin 13, Sheila Martin, Jr. 15, Rachel Sylvia 12, Hollywood Sylvia 1, Joseph Martinez 8, Abigail Martinez 11, Crystal Martinez 3 Isaiah Martinez 4 Audrey Martinez 13, Melissa Morrison 6, Chanel Andrade 1, Cyrus Koresh 8 Star Koresh 6, Bobbie Lane Koresh 2, Dayland Gent 3, Page Gent 1, Mayanah Schneider 2, Startle Summers 1, Serenity Jones 4, Chica Jones 2, Little One Jones 2

Hillary’s “husband” claimed credit for an economic recovery that began 18 months before he was even elected. FED stats prove that the recovery actually began in March of 1991.

Or are you referring to “the good old days” when Hillary’s husband was telling us that al Qaeda was in cahoots with Iraq, and then did absolutely nothing about either one? The 9/11 attacks, according to bin Laden himself, were to happen on Clinton’s watch, and the only reason they didn’t was because more training time was needed.

This is not really a surprise, we found out a few months ago that a little over half the voters don’t care about jobs, the economy, the cost of living, the cost of entitlements, foreign policy (or the lack of a foreign policy), a budget for our government to live within, and they sure as hell don’t care about Al Qaeda planting their flags around our embassies, or dead ambassadors and soldiers, or the second amendment. They care about what’s in it for them, and as a democrat, Hillary would continue down the path the president has taken and give those people what they want. Handouts and abortions. Lots and lots of abortions.

Hillary #1?

I dealt with numerous old ladies and even young ones who will love her forever. I kinda admired her for their affection and dedication as she seemed to fill a void many of them had for success in their own lives and even love for the opposite sex. She was a interesting electron which powerfully linked with estrogen tinged, if not menopausal, cells.

In a more global sense, why is anyone surprised? This is part of the four legged, polished wood, Democratic Party table that has Bush 43′s reputation shot, the Clinton years as golden and President Obama as a victim of circumstance. This fourth leg is just not quite as thick and fixed yet.

The leg, (I shall not ‘pun’ reach for a pant suit cover) is not strong since the base of the party has a real lack of passion for her. My minority friends hated her. A black lady described her as “pure evil” before the “O phenom” was really underway. Maybe I had a bad sample but they bought Dick Morris’ whole narrative. In addition, I’m sure that MSNBC served some sharp cut glass in the ground steak that was to be Hillary’s coverage in ’08. Of course, memory does fade.

The base will respond as the right did to Mitt. Mitt even lost me for the most part. All she needs is an inept staff and we have President Gingrich. Or Palin.

The right needs to find a way to damage the table.

Bill Clinton turns 70 in 2016. His mom died when she was 70 of cancer. Clinton’s birth father died in a car wreck, so I can’t gauge longevity or propensity towards dementia from his side of the family. If Bill Clinton is dead or incompetent by 2016, whither Hillary?

It’s also February, and Hillary has just left the room. Much time for something to go wrong State Department-wise, and John Kerry to need someone to blame.

Alabama Infidel on February 8, 2013 at 7:54 PM

Picture the 2016 election run …

Ad starts … it’s 3.00am in the morning, Hillary can be heard snoring loudly

Flashback of Benghazi … aflame, voiceover … the Ambassador’s missing … where are the armed drones / f16s / seals ??

Flashback of WH garden … blaming videos

Flashback of Panetta … “No we did not speak to State”

Flashback of Her Highness … “What difference does it make”

Jimbobby on February 8, 2013 at 8:01 PM

Hillary will drop out of sight for a while and get some, ahem, work done on her face. But she will be back.

For America, I fear the end is near. The Big Cliff is looming.

TarheelBen on February 8, 2013 at 3:59 PM

Dude, we already went over the proverbial cliff but don’t want to admit it. She’ll just finish the job.

Myron Falwell on February 8, 2013 at 8:08 PM

She’ll run and win…women will totally show up to vote for her.
rubberneck on February 8, 2013 at 3:44 PM

Low Information and Low IQ women Virtually anyone and everyone under age 30 who was permanently brainwashed to be a Socialist, along with the VAST majority of women. Too bad for the country ….that’s more than half of them an unbeatable super-majority.

Alabama Infidel on February 8, 2013 at 7:54 PM

Fixed.

Myron Falwell on February 8, 2013 at 8:11 PM

Would have thought that honor would have gone to “My Husband The President.”

TimBuk3 on February 8, 2013 at 8:16 PM

Our next President!

MT on February 8, 2013 at 8:27 PM

Instead of a “reset” button, maybe she could have a “so-what” button.

trl on February 8, 2013 at 8:42 PM

Isn’t this similar to the prize for “Cleanest public restroom in New York City”? Even the cleanest maintained by Bloomberg’s crews stinks to high heaven.

Adjoran on February 8, 2013 at 9:22 PM

As long as don’t have the McCain Romney teams running Rubio’s camapign and Rubio is willing to torch her, she has more baggage than an airport to run against her.

Malachi45 on February 9, 2013 at 12:35 AM

Train wrecks and fatal car accidents also have that effect.

SWalker on February 8, 2013 at 4:05 PM

Keep Teddy out of this!

This genuinely stupid Fabian socialist and alinsky devotee aka luciferian agent has accomplished nothing in her pathetic life. She is a gluttonous drunkard who abided her serial rapist philandering husbands sexcapades in elected office. Hillary Clinton is an evil liar who shouldn’t be anywhere near a position of power. What an indictment of the integrity, character, and intelligence of all those who support her.

Shame on them.

tom daschle concerned on February 9, 2013 at 8:11 AM

Can anyone say ‘Founding Socialist’ yeah we’re all for someone’s who’s after our welfare, as long as it’s not out of their pockets. How much is she & Ogling Billy worth? Twenty, forty million give a cigar or two. Another $25-30 mil & they’ll qualify to attend the Pelosi-Feinstein-Kerry private ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ formal.

RdLake on February 9, 2013 at 3:59 PM

Ya know, all these special Clinton things make me think the answer is coming before the question.

What can we do for Hillary?
Hey, I Know! How ’bout ‘Most Popular Politician?’

What can we do for her husband?
Hey, How ’bout ‘Father of the Year?’

TimBuk3 on February 10, 2013 at 11:44 AM

She’d better quit while she’s ahead.

Seriously, both Clintons should be living in disgraced shame on a Pacific island somehere.

Why are you listing only her good points?
