Accused cop-killer left manifesto praising Obama, Hillary, Piers Morgan, gun control

posted at 4:41 pm on February 7, 2013 by Allahpundit

If that’s not proof enough that he’s a liberal, he also praised Chris Christie and Jon Huntsman.

The manifesto is predictably long and a bit lighter on Illuminati-type stuff than most other rampaging-nutjob screeds, but lest there’s any doubt what sort of mind we’re dealing with here, a quote:

It’s kind of sad I won’t be around to view and enjoy The Hangover III. What an awesome trilogy. Todd Phillips, don’t make anymore Hangovers after the third, takes away the originality of its foundation. World War Z looks good and The Walking Dead season 3 (second half) looked intriguing. Damn, gonna miss shark week.

Charlie Sheen is also informed that he’s “effin awesome.” The suspected death toll thus far: Three people, including a cop, with other cops at grave risk given Dorner’s apparent grudge against them. Federal marshals are now hunting him in four states.

If you don’t want to pick through his rant for the references to Obama, Morgan, the assault-weapons ban, etc., Sooper Mexican and Breitbart have the key excerpts — some of which, as SM notes, were curiously redacted by media outlets after police asked them simply to excise the names of individual police officers who were identified by Dorner. The rest of this post you can write yourself, especially if you read yesterday’s item about the egregious double standard between the media’s treatment of Palin after Tucson and the SPLC after the FRC shooting. The left, needless to say, is blameless for Dorner’s actions. Also needless to say, if his manifesto had extolled gun rights and called Obama “a vile and inhumane piece of sh*t” instead of Wayne LaPierre, this would be a five-alarm media inferno floating on a sea of sweaty rhetoric about The Conservative Movement turning to madness over gun control. The goal, as it was with Palin and as it always, always, always is in a situation like this, would be to cow law-abiding people on the right into softening their opposition to liberal policies or else be accused of complicity in some random crank’s bloodletting. It’s just a nastier version of Obama bringing kids up onstage when he signed those executive memos on guns last month: Instead of O implicitly accusing conservatives of being accomplices to murder, the immediate aftermath of a prominent act of violence tends to bring accusations that are more explicit. But when, as today, the facts don’t lend themselves easily to a “right-wing apocalypse” narrative, then suddenly all of the grander meaning in the killer’s political sympathies melts away. The double standard has become so obvious and so grotesque that I doubt most media liberals would even deny it anymore when challenged on it. It’s unmistakable and indefensible and they know it. And rest assured, the next time some lunatic kills a bunch of people and it turns out his MySpace profile lists Ayn Rand as one of his “likes” or whatever, they’ll do it all over again. Lessons will not be learned because this isn’t about lessons. It’s about reptilian political advantage.

But I repeat, the left is not to blame here. Although, in the interest of taking every precaution, maybe we should ask CNN to cancel Piers Morgan already. Exit question via John Ziegler: Now that we’ve ruled out blaming Dorner’s actions on the font of all evil that is conservatism, which hobbyhorse will the media turn to in hopes of advancing other causes it supports? Ziegler thinks it’ll be football-related concussions. Dorner did play football in college. Stay tuned.

Rent Free, too. A couple of weeks ago, I asked chump what “qualified” Hillary to be the Junior US Senator from New York. chump weakly “responded” that Sarah Palin was a “Quitter”.

This of course totally ignored that Hillary herself Quit her senate Seat to run for President, and never returned to it. Not to mention Dear Leader Quitting his own Senate seat.

Come to think of it, 5-time Draft Dodger Joe Biden Quit his Senate seat to become VP. And our new Democrat Gigolo “Secretary of State” just Quit his “job” as a Senator.

I have several friends in harm’s way today. A few are always in danger but today is really bad.

Again, you’re scum for joking about cops being killed, attacked and threatened.

Capitalist Hog on February 7, 2013 at 9:09 PM

Did any of them shoot the newspaper delivery lady? Did any of them shoot the people in the blue truck? There is a kill order out on this guy and its disgusting, and your “friends” are in it up to their necks.

Yes, our courts and laws have been, and are being, intentionally weakened. But I still don’t want LEOs considering “asphalt-trials and prosecutions.”

If we wink and nod and allow it because it’s not us, then we’re to blame for the further weakening of our Constitution.

Because one day it will be us.

rogerb on February 8, 2013 at 1:47 PM

What I find interesting is the unequal media treatment concerning shooters in this story. The ex cop who kills cops is excoriated while the multiple cops who shoot innocent bystanders and vehicles in their ramped up rage get no press. Where is the outrage for their victims? Why no mention of their suspensions while being investigated for a crime of attempted murder with a firearm?

The military teaches you to identify your target before unsafing a weapon. I guess this standard does not apply to LAPD.

What a farce.

usarmyretired on February 8, 2013 at 5:31 AM

I can understand this, but it sickens me. It is the kind of thing that will make many a good ammerrrican stick their fingers in their ears and close their eyes.

We live in a police state, where Civil rights are optional. From the President ordering drone strikes on Americans to a militarized local police to the delight the left shows to an “asphalt Jury”.

These cops just Unloaded on a blue truck. Even though they were Righteous Wymns of Color, all the PC stuff and well as rights of the accused is put aside. This is game time, where EVERYTHING is on the line, all the pretty little toys that they have bought in the last 15 years. Multiply this by x1000 liberals and you understand what would happen if there is a gun ban.

The LAPD is burning MILLIONS per day on one man! Imagine if there were 20 of these guys in every city in the USA, or 200.

This could be the crack that breaks everything wide open if this goes into extra innings. They HAVE to get him and so everything that makes Americans respect law enforcement is out the window. It’s “Let me see your papers!” and “Stop at the Checkpoint” time. Once it is over, they will hold the endless hearing and the wounded will be paid off, but till then it’s “EMERGENCY time…Time Out”! (Body Heat movie reference)

Rogerb, it isn’t because the laws have been intentionally weakened, it is because the entire legal/justice system is criminally corrupt from the top to the bottom. Judges, lawyers and police routinely game the law, break it, enforcement agencies routinely choose not to enforce laws one one set of people/companies/agencies while enforcing the same law on others, etc. Why should anyone have any respect for the law or those who create them, enforce them, etc?

Given California’s history with the Death Penalty, he would be most likely to die from natural causes in prison…followed closely by suicide. Both are still a more likely outcome then actually being executed by lethal injection.

I feel your prediction will be the most likely outcome, although I would like to see him face our judicial system.

If he truly feels he was wronged, one would think he would want his day in court with all the increased attention that it would bring.

If he wants to go down in a hail of gunfire, it kind of defeats the supposed purpose of his murderous rampage.

weaselyone on February 8, 2013 at 3:05 PM

I am finding it odd that the media attention in this is dieing down so quickly.

This guy is still on the loose, yet we get more media attention for days on killers who are caught at the scene or take their own life.

One would think that part of the media’s job would be to cover this story non-stop to raise public awareness until this man is brought to justice.

weaselyone on February 8, 2013 at 3:19 PM

So a guy who’s killed three people is praising gun control? Talk about moral inversion.

The solution here is simple: Liberals shouldn’t own guns. Take away your own kind’s gun rights first to lead by example. The rest of us don’t want just the cops to have the guns.

Daemonocracy on February 11, 2013 at 2:26 PM

He shot them because he was mad at them for kicking him out of LAPD, not because he’s a liberal. This incredibly simple fact is far beyond the comprehension level of the average conservative.

The rest of us, having actual brain cells don’t get caught up on this more than any other similar crime.

lester on February 7, 2013 at 5:16 PM

No he clearly shot them because he was a liberal. What do you expect when you have liberal activist labeling anyone who disagrees with them as “hate groups”? That’s like putting targets over political districts!
