Accused cop-killer left manifesto praising Obama, Hillary, Piers Morgan, gun control

posted at 4:41 pm on February 7, 2013 by Allahpundit

If that’s not proof enough that he’s a liberal, he also praised Chris Christie and Jon Huntsman.

The manifesto is predictably long and a bit lighter on Illuminati-type stuff than most other rampaging-nutjob screeds, but lest there’s any doubt what sort of mind we’re dealing with here, a quote:

It’s kind of sad I won’t be around to view and enjoy The Hangover III. What an awesome trilogy. Todd Phillips, don’t make anymore Hangovers after the third, takes away the originality of its foundation. World War Z looks good and The Walking Dead season 3 (second half) looked intriguing. Damn, gonna miss shark week.

Charlie Sheen is also informed that he’s “effin awesome.” The suspected death toll thus far: Three people, including a cop, with other cops at grave risk given Dorner’s apparent grudge against them. Federal marshals are now hunting him in four states.

If you don’t want to pick through his rant for the references to Obama, Morgan, the assault-weapons ban, etc., Sooper Mexican and Breitbart have the key excerpts — some of which, as SM notes, were curiously redacted by media outlets after police asked them simply to excise the names of individual police officers who were identified by Dorner. The rest of this post you can write yourself, especially if you read yesterday’s item about the egregious double standard between the media’s treatment of Palin after Tucson and the SPLC after the FRC shooting. The left, needless to say, is blameless for Dorner’s actions. Also needless to say, if his manifesto had extolled gun rights and called Obama “a vile and inhumane piece of sh*t” instead of Wayne LaPierre, this would be a five-alarm media inferno floating on a sea of sweaty rhetoric about The Conservative Movement turning to madness over gun control. The goal, as it was with Palin and as it always, always, always is in a situation like this, would be to cow law-abiding people on the right into softening their opposition to liberal policies or else be accused of complicity in some random crank’s bloodletting. It’s just a nastier version of Obama bringing kids up onstage when he signed those executive memos on guns last month: Instead of O implicitly accusing conservatives of being accomplices to murder, the immediate aftermath of a prominent act of violence tends to bring accusations that are more explicit. But when, as today, the facts don’t lend themselves easily to a “right-wing apocalypse” narrative, then suddenly all of the grander meaning in the killer’s political sympathies melts away. The double standard has become so obvious and so grotesque that I doubt most media liberals would even deny it anymore when challenged on it. It’s unmistakable and indefensible and they know it. And rest assured, the next time some lunatic kills a bunch of people and it turns out his MySpace profile lists Ayn Rand as one of his “likes” or whatever, they’ll do it all over again. Lessons will not be learned because this isn’t about lessons. It’s about reptilian political advantage.

But I repeat, the left is not to blame here. Although, in the interest of taking every precaution, maybe we should ask CNN to cancel Piers Morgan already. Exit question via John Ziegler: Now that we’ve ruled out blaming Dorner’s actions on the font of all evil that is conservatism, which hobbyhorse will the media turn to in hopes of advancing other causes it supports? Ziegler thinks it’ll be football-related concussions. Dorner did play football in college. Stay tuned.

AP, the thing is, there’s no counterpart on the Right to Piers Morgan. I never listen to Michael Savage, but does he have any cred from the Right? I mean, do any important people ever go on his show? Rush is the furthest from a hate monger. Whether you call it hate, or personal attacks or insults, or name-calling, or just wanting someone to disappear, rather than meet them at the level of argument, that’s the Left, and those chickens are coming home to roost.

Piers Morgan should be called out, and then shunned. I know that’s kinda schizophrenic, but, whatever.

The amount of police patrolling southern California today is totally insane. In OC there was a police car literally every mile on the 5. The LAPD is doing two squad cars patrols (4 officers) of areas that would normally see a squad car once a month.

They are responding with lights and sirens to every tip that comes in.

As someone said, they are real jittery.

News radio this morning was–correctly–advising anyone with a dark colored truck, especially black men, to not drive their car today.

The government is so f’n stupid:

The local freeway electronic mesage sign had an alert about this. Traffic backed up for miles as everyone slowed down to read the thing.

Three problems:
1. The sign gave a license plate number. The radio had already reported that he had changed the plates.

2. The sign didn’t give the make of the vehicle, just the color.

3. There was no description of the suspect. Seems like that would have been useful.

The guy could have been sitting right among us, stopped in traffic.

Dude, you have been hung up on Newtown since it happened; yet, more than 3 Newtowns (in deaths) occur every year in Chicago.

270 Chicago children have been murdered by criminals using predominantly handguns since 2007.

In 2012, 62 school age children were murdered in Chicago and 446 school-age children were shot.

What has been the response from you and your fellow daytrippers?

Crickets.

And, when even the crickets didn’t work any longer, what did the leaders of Chicago, which has some of the most stringent gun laws in the country, have to say?

It’s the fault of Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Mississippi, etc!

Well, that’s pretty damn strange considering the FACT that the homicide rate and overall crime rate are lower everywhere that they’ve tried to blame.

Maybe, just maybe, it is NOT the guns, but the Blue Model and the culture of Chicago, ya know?

Why would anyone expect the people of Chicago to be law-abiding when their leaders aren’t?

But now that a confirmed lefty is on the rampage and mentioned liberal commentators by name, Piers Morgan is all of a sudden saying this shouldn’t be politicized.

The rest of the clucking hens on the left will gladly go along, the true believers that they are.

Funny you should say that..:)

Flashback: Musket Morgan blamed Sarah Palin for Giffords shooting

As Twitchy reported, Piers “Musket” Morgan is urging people not to politicize alleged murderer Chris Dorner’s killing spree. He insists that Dorner’s actions are the result of “deranged criminality” as opposed to political motivations. But, as astute conservatives recall, Morgan had no qualms about playing the blame game back in late 2011, when he angrily insisted that Sarah Palin apologize to shooting victim Gabby Giffords for Jared Loughner’s deadly spree.

Sounds like Piers is suffering from a raging case of the double standards:

The only good conclusion to this is a dirt nap for this killer.

But we can’t blame Libtards for the actions of the crazy any more than they can blame us for the actions of the crazy. Even if they are campaign donors to democrats, obama and promote gun control.

Hypocritical to the MAX? Oh yes. Cause and effect? No.

Will the MSM make the connection? NO.

Will they try to make the connection to ban something? Yep.

Anderson Cooper @andersoncooper
Learned today suspect Christopher Dorner sent me a parcel at CNN. Inside was a note, DVD, and a coin shot thru with bullet holes.

Unfortunately, are you aware that I obtained class III weapons (suppressors) without a background check thru NICS or DROS completely LEGALLY several times? I was able to use a trust account that I created on quicken will maker and a $10 notary charge at a mailbox etc. to obtain them legally.

I can buy any firearm I want, but should I be able to purchase these class III weapons (SBR’s, and suppressors) without a background check and just a $10 notary signature on a quicken will maker program? The answer is NO. I’m not even a resident of the state i purchased them in

Well, now he’s just bee-essin’. You cannot create an NFA Trust on quicken that ATF will accept. And, even if you have a legal, accepted NFA Trust, there is still a waiting period every time that you get a Class !!! item from a dealer.
The only other way to get one fast – and not actually registered to you – is to get a police department purchase officer to buy it “for the department”, using your money, and then give you the gun when it arrives. (Which is, of course, illegal.)

I wonder if this coward had such a hard on for gun control prior to it becoming the libtard issue du jour.

Kataklysmic on February 7, 2013 at 6:09 PM

In this kind of warfare, you want to exhaust your enemy. Hit them every 2 or 3 days, humiliate them, have every cop over react, wound civilians, destroy property, show the Country that their rights don’t mean squat when it comes to “everyone going home safely” as police say in that smarmy prose which simply means “We can torture and even kill you if you don’t answer our questions”.

If he has the assets he says, then he probably has explosives, which would really be turning up the wick, though the Nation of Islam killers were able to bring San Francisco to a halt for over 283 days with a single .32 Browning automatic. How long before check points are established? How long before LAPD is out of money?

This is the kind of battle the gun guys were talking about if the Government outlawed rifles times 1,000,000. I wonder if the lefties will understand or if they will miss the point. This is a real time training tool.

Absolutely no excuse for shooting first and CYA afterwords… While the method Dorner is using to expose how corrupt the California LEC is deplorable, it is in fact exposing it.

canopfor on February 7, 2013 at 6:11 PM

The following is a quite thorough capture of Dorner’s manifesto. The names of the officers he has a grievance against are redacted. His “rationale” is a mixed bag, but he has anger issues over why/how he was dismissed. He also admits to coping with depression and having had two CAT scans for his condition. What kind of medication was he on and how justified is he over his innuendoes of corruption in the force? Lots of questions here.

Kataklysmic on February 7, 2013 at 6:09 PM

Probably not.

We do know that he didn’t have a hard-on for AR-15s before they became the libtard issue du jour. If he had, he would have known that the gun was used in only 3 of the litany of mass shootings he named.

We have to confront the double standard. It’s killing us. Complaining about it isn’t going to cut it. We need something new. Something Breitbartian. The media has to be brought down.

Thank you! I will make an adjustment. The point remains, however, that he cites the AR-15 and all of these mass shootings, but it was not used in most.
