Exactly! Brown got the Neville Chamberlain treatment. In trying to become electable he lost his honor. He ended up losing anyway. I think that there should be no place in the GOP for the RINOs, just as somebody like Joe Manchin probably belongs in the GOP. This political transvestism is a betrayal to voters. Voters need to know that their political representatives are not going to betray the political values they once embraced. It is one thing to fail to live by the type of childish promises that politicians make during a campaign, quite another to be a traitor in chief. The GOP is better off keeping idiots like this at bay.

So, it’s no loss. We need better representatives than this. Move on.

gotta agree with hawkdriver, my wife and I donated separatly and compared notes later. Both of us sent money to Brown when he ran against Coakley and both of us cringed at his votes and declarations defending them once he was elected. He didn’t get anything from us when it came time to defend his seat. He even made Kay Bailey look very conservative.

My wife grew up in Boston/Newton when it was still possible for a kid to ride the MTA unmolested. Glad she got to Texas.

Scott Brown must know there’s no hope for Mass. until the wampum sh!t hits the wigwam fan.

I had a very Conservative fellow warrant officer I had served with who also was from Mass. So I sympathize with you. I really do. But your assessment that Hot Air had a hand in this man’s downfall is a bit of hyperbole if you ask me. The opinions expressed here are truly a microcosm of the entire Conservative electorate. And if this site expressed a majority view that he was disappointing, I think you’ll find it was a national view. If you look to the comment of panther above, I also agree that he summed it up perfectly.

Scott Brown received a level of support both ideologically and financially from Hot Air led by omahaconservative in his first election. I personally donated 200 dollars to his campaign the first time in two installments. And the symbolic victory of putting an R on a former Kennedy seat was great. But to me it abruptly ended there.

After seeing his legislative performance, it was obvious to me it was stupid to support him again.

I might just ask you what you can site that we conservatively achieved by having him there?

If I were Scott Brown, I’d gather up my family and move to better climes, maybe a state where there’s still hope for better sense to prevail.

In a state that is only 10% Republican Brown came within 8 points of beating the media darling. Maybe we’ll get him back as our governor next time. I hope so.

be careful now that Brown is out and Warren is in- Patrick/Warren/2016 is in the crystal ball. My bet is that they will be Obama’s chosen predecessors

Brown was a total failure and was only able to win the seat due to conservative backing. He voted liberal, lost the backing, and the seat. He was useless and stupid – typical republican.

oh one other point…the conservatives did stay out of it in 2012 and Brown lost. Brown won when the conservatives engaged in the election of 2009-2010. At this point in time I would wish the Mass republicans do the national gop a favor and switch parties since they seem to be mostly democrates anyway.

understand why Scotti is walking away from the Senate, all I can hope is he starts building up now for the battle of governor. Do Massachusetts Republicans a favor next time he runs, and stay out of it.

yeah how is that big tent working for you? You lost how many seats in 2012? “Centerists” only serve one purpose giving dems cover when they pass liberal polices. the big tent you are looking for doesn’t include liberals and conservatives and moderates that’s not a big tent that’s a circus. A real big tent is a collection of different groups under the banner of conservatism. or liberalism or moderation. It’s not a mix and match of different ideologies.

Liberalism has feminists, environmentalist, socialists, etc under its tent. All have different goals but all use liberalism to achieve them thus a big tent appoarach.

the GOP is made up of conservatives and moderates both sides working against each other because both have different ideas on how to move forward. I.e not a big tent.

For all the purists, all I can say is keep rejecting centrist Republicans and you’ll wake up one morning and realize that big tent you used to talk about is a one-pole pup tent.

god you are dense. You were lied too for months with liberal polls showing Mitt was the only one that could beat Obama. You fell for it hook line and sinker. Then when reality set in and show then in fact Mitt was the only candidate that could lose to Obama you blame the people that were telling you all along that you were being lied too?

Wise up if the polls were right then Mitt would be POTUS. They weren’t they were liberal lies to make you pick the wrong candidate. You were a sucker. Some of us still have minds of our own and know what is going on. Sadly you don’t appear to be one of them.

brown isn’t going to run becaus ehe can’t win. He pissed off the conservatives, he isn’t liberal enough for the socialists and the moderates aren’t enough to win an election. Same reason Mitt lost.

Unlike alot of other people, I’m not mad at Scott Brown. It’s a blue state, and half a loaf is better than none if you ask me. But there comes a time where the voter no longer deserves your hard work or consideration, when the tipping point of public stupidity is clearly in the rear-view mirror. Fauxcohontas is that point.
