Oh, I think I get it now. If a person goes to a Catholic religious service and shoots everyone there with an ‘assault weapon’ and 30 round ‘clip’, then that can be considered ‘Mass shooting’.

There can be NO COMPROMISE with our servants. Our servants do not just wish to reasonably restrict one amendment. They mean to restrict them all.

Guns are the litmus test to see how far they can get, with the most concrete of the amendments that protects tangible objects.

We have seen servants in every level of government and every branch up to the WH and Supreme Court call our Constitution out-dated and archaic.

They wish to be unshackled in their quest for unlimited power and COMPROMISE from citizens opens the gateway to allow it.

So if you want to compromise on a certain number of cartridges in a magazine or a certain type of gun… Apply those same type of compromises to all amendments and see what you think of your freedom then.

Ed Morrissey, in your topic yesterday where you espoused a blithe acceptance of universal background checks (registration by any other name), you never touched on what exactly the Left is giving up in such a “compromise” solution. While people like you GIVE AWAY OUR RIGHTS. As far as I can see, they only ‘give up’ the immediate accomplishment of their disarmament goal. And Feinstein did admit in ’95 that she’d have taken EVERYTHING if she could have got 51 Senate votes in ’94.

The male, Progressive Senator Sheldon Whitehouse ends by, figuratively, attempting to pat Ms Trotter on the head and implying that he knows what’s best for her because, after all, she’d be able to use another type of gun – even if she was not as efficient at it.

Senator Whitehouse, please don’t attempt to lecture us about the types of guns that we should use to defend our bodies and minds and those of our families.

The left has raised gun control to a heightened fervor and legal gun owners have responded as expected. Don’t get into the wrong argument; the federal gun registry is the next step for Barack Obama and the anti-second amendment effort.

Barack Obama wants a public fight on gun control at such a heightened level that second amendment defenders and Republicans will likely compromise on a federal registry to avoid what would never happen in federal court. The second amendment always is and will be upheld.

The U.S. Constitution should always be our guide.

BTW, those refer to the OVERALL HOMICIDE RATES from ANY AND ALL sources in 1994 and 2009. They are NOT specific to the AK-15.

I am just showing that the number of AR-15s has gone from ~1.5 million to 3.26 million since 1994 while the OVERALL HOMICIDE RATE has fallen from 9.0 in 1994 to 5.0 in 2009.

The NRA is about the 2nd amendment and they saw it being infringed. Obama was about capturing as much control over our lives through healthcare. Putting in gun control aspects has always been his intention no matter how.
