Rajoy is a honest guy, very qualified, etc so it looks good at first, but he is submisive with the leftist ideological dictatorship in the media, he is not strong to defend the true ideals against the left, etc

And when the Madrid bombings took place just refore the 2004 election, the media and the socialist party created a vile campaing against Rajoy and his party, Rajoy was too weak, the socialist machine was too evil and the spanish people was too dumb. So the socialist Zapatero won the election.

The terrorist did it that way to change the goverment, Aznar was a very strong leader against the terrorism and defending his allies, but they knew Spain was easy to fool, because the socialist and their media will do the job for them.

En fin, briefly, Aznar is a great leader, economically his succes was amazing, ideologically he was strong and brave. He stood besides his allies when needed, and he continue to stand besides his allies now, specially Israel which is the most endangered one.
So, even now that the socialist are not in the goverment anymore, we still miss Aznar.

To bad Spain was to stupid to reelect this guy.

To me, there seems to be the difference of night and day between Blair as a socialist and Obama and his progressive wing. Am I romanticizing Blair, or do you see it different too? If you do, how would you describe the difference? I have my view, but would like to hear yours.

Aznar was one of Bush’s big supporters early on after September 11. His eventual downfall to Zapatero was a terrible shame and I have to wonder whether Spain’s financial condition would be nearly as bad as it is if he were still in charge. He is certainly saying the right things, here.

Only if you are a liberal democrat. I’d like to see a republican try it. The left would be whipping out the Constitution faster than you can say “Constitution”. Just look back at McCain. He needed an act of Congress to grant him “natural born” status in the very same election that BO the great with a British father got a complete pass.

The result: civilizational suicide as our global enemies cheer it on, laughing at our self-loathing stupidity.

Well if we’re going to trash the Constitution, why not throw out the natural born citizen clause and elect him president. He’d certainly be better that what we’ve got. Though a damp dish towel would be as well.
