Egyptian president to U.S. senators: Watch out for those Jews who control your media

posted at 6:01 pm on January 23, 2013 by Allahpundit

The only silver lining in having the Muslim Brotherhood run Egypt is the grim amusement we’ll get from watching American diplomats forced to continuously polish this guy’s rhetorical turds. This latest one was dropped at the same meeting where McCain et al. supposedly gave him a talking-to about his anti-semitic comments in 2010 before they flounced out in front of the microphones and promised to keep the foreign aid flowing to Cairo. And they were true to their word. Just this morning, four F-16s left the U.S. destined for Egypt as part of our aid package. Twelve more will follow. Mission accomplished, Maverick.

David Frum wonders whether there aren’t any spin doctors in Egypt who could have warned him away from this sort of language in front of U.S. politicians. No doubt. After decades of meetings, Egyptians must be used to cleaning up their anti-semitism when in front of their American sugar daddies. I think Morsi said it just to prove that he could get away with it. The White House isn’t going to do anything that might reduce its leverage over the Brotherhood vis-a-vis Israel; if that means having to smile tight-lipped when he starts rambling about what a great read the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is, hey.

On the upside, Morsi will get along famously with our next defense secretary. Zing.

Morsy told the senators that the values of Islam teach respect for Christianity and Judaism, and he asserted repeatedly that he had no negative views about Judaism or the Jewish people, but then followed with a diatribe about Israel and Zionist actions against Palestinians, especially in Gaza.

Then Morsy crossed a line and made a comment that made the senators physically recoil in their chairs in shock, Coons said.

“He was attempting to explain himself … then he said, ‘Well, I think we all know that the media in the United States has made a big deal of this and we know the media of the United States is controlled by certain forces and they don’t view me favorably,’” Coons said…

“The meeting then took a very sharply negative turn for some time. It really threatened to cause the entire meeting to come apart so that we could not continue,” Coons said.

Morsi didn’t say specifically who those “certain forces” are but Coons, to his credit, doesn’t whitewash it. He told The Cable that it was perfectly clear in context. In fact, let me double down on the credit: It’s amazing to me that a Democratic senator in his first term would put the White House on the spot by revealing the latest anti-semitic excrescence from the guy who’s supposed to be keeping the peace in the Middle East. Why did that fall to him and not John “Straight-Talk Express” McCain? Did the sensitivities of confidential diplomacy trump the American public’s need to know (or rather be reminded) that the new president of Egypt is a Jew-hating crank?

Exit question: Does this revelation mark the end of Morsi’s interviews with American media? He played patty-cake with Time magazine and CNN, but eventually enough of this invective will pile up that U.S. reporters will have to start asking him about it notwithstanding their quasi-professional duty to suppress the information. His handlers will figure out that having him expound on camera about how Mossad was really behind 9/11 or whatever might push Obama into a corner politically where he has no choice but to yank those billions in aid. I think we’ve seen the last of him on TV or in print in the U.S.

It just wasn’t enough to give “the Brotherhood” (aka Al Queda)in Libya substantial arms to prop up their Islamic brothers in Syria, Mali, Algeria and who knows where else. Our “Jew-controlled” media seems to have forgotten to tell us that the Algerian gas plant takeover was done with those weapons we gave them.

But now we have to make sure to give the most advanced aircraft and other advanced armaments to this Islamic turd. Maybe soon they’ll have enough weapons to launch their attack on mainland USA. I hope their first target is the White House.

A measure to suspend the nation’s legal limit on borrowing for nearly four months cleared a key vote in the House Wednesday, as Republicans broadly endorsed a new tactic that would temporarily remove the threat of a potentially calamitous government default from their ongoing fight with Democrats over government spending.

The measure, which would set aside the legal debt ceiling and allow the government to borrow as needed to meet spending obligations through May 18, was adopted on a 285 to 144 vote.

Either way, the fact that this aid package is going through unchanged with such a questionable government in place (I’ll let you decide which one I am referring to, or hell, pick both) is a travesty.

can_con on January 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM

For sure the Jews in America, and Israel will get a good dose of pain and suffering when Morsi gets to his agenda.

In the US, the current regime and population will only need a small push to go after the Jews. Bad economic times were made for Jew hatred. With friends like John McCain and Chuck Hagel, it is only a matter of time after the SHTF that the Goldsteins and Shwartzes taste some scapegoat backlash.

I personally believe that any Jew who who voted for Obama, and those who support Rinos deserve what they get.

History always repeats itself.

Several people here confirmed the planes are a poor model. Between that, the skill of Arab maintenance crews, and the skill of an average Arab pilot, I’m not too worried about them.

It’s the tanks that are the really bad part. Even with anti-tank missiles, a bunch of them rumbling over the horizon is something Israeli soldiers see in their nightmares.

Morsy told the senators that the values of Islam teach respect for Christianity and Judaism, and he asserted repeatedly that he had no negative views about Judaism or the Jewish people, but then followed with a diatribe about Israel and Zionist actions against Palestinians, especially in Gaza.

One sentence. Three clauses. The third clause contradicts the second, and the first clause is as much a lie as the second.

Mohammedanism claims to “respect” Christianity and Judaism, and claims to recognize many of their prophets. But a prophet simply means a messenger of God, and Muslims don’t know or read a word of any prophets they claim to recognize but Mohammed. So all they’re really doing is name-dropping the prophets they claim to accept while ignoring their messages.

Islam at heart is all about Mohammed. Any claims of respect for Christianity and Judaism are just things you tell the Kuffar.

Kungfoochimp on January 24, 2013 at 2:03 AM

I said nothing more than the facts. One person makes a comment agreeing with a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood (?!?!) about the Jews (?!?), and the comment gets deleted. 15 minutes later another commenter makes what is not only a statement of agreement with that comment, but very nearly a defense of the comment. I quote:

One can argue if the influence of the vast majority of media being owned and run by jews is negative or not; however, the reality of the ownership is ridiculous to debate unless you have an disingenuous agenda.

Kungfoochimp on January 23, 2013 at 6:24 PM

Which suggests that stating the fact of ownership should not be taken as implying that the fact of ownership was significant.

But of course it was significant. Why else make a big deal of the number of Jews who have influence in the media?

But I’ll adopt your approach and point out the coincidence while claiming there is no implication of it. After all:

One can argue if the existence of the coincidence leads to the conclusion that you might previously have been known by another name, but the reality of the coincidence is ridiculous to debate unless you have a disingenuous agenda.
