What we are seeing is the authentic Obama, a liberated and fiercely committed progressive who believes he is an agent for social justice and fairness. He feels the election completely vindicated him and his agenda. He has sheer contempt for his opponents. And in his second term he will crush them if they stand in his way.

Call it the transmogrification of Hope and Change.

Add in a platitude or two about the evils of ideology — which apparently only describes his opponents — and you’ve pretty much summed up Obama’s speeches.

The only reason he’s treated as a brilliant speechmaker is that the media that reports on his speeches has a massive crush on him.

What happened to the idealistic young politician who argued against dividing the country into red and blue Americas? It seems we’re not going to see him again.

I think his picture has been on milk cartons everywhere since Jan 2009….

Zero seems to be taking petty much the same tack, but I can’t guess who the tenth-grader is.

Meanwhile Jarrett and Axelrod will continue to run our country. With the help of Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, and all of the other “progressives” in Congress and in the media, his second term of office will be a breeze.

His speech, which I have read, could not bear to listen to, alludes to everything that the base liberals believe…

His message is all to easy to believe in, you are right, they need a ‘devil’ and we are it…

They have no understanding of what a conservative is, they have it seems a total disdain for the Constitution…

Re: This article, my sister who is 100% disabled, has most of her rent paid and receives a small stipend for her disability, she had worked all her life and contributed.

She scrapes by on 52 pounds a week! No food allowance, no electric allowance… she is living very meagerly for a british citizen!

Oh she does get free health care, but she worked all her life for that, and it is rationed!! Only so many visits per year…

I find the politics is the motivator for them. Conservatives largely have a live and let live view, while the Left’s view is they know better and everyone should live as liberals decree. Resistance against them builds hate, and the hate fuels their desire for us to simply go away. They’ll settle for shutting down Conservative media outlets for now, but they really want us out of the way.

We needle consciences with our values, religious and secular. Liberals do not like that at all. Pick any topic and they get angry pretty quickly, especially when they can’t refute the logic or pull people away from their religious values.

We see it in things from lib reporters quite often, most recently a piece from the CBS news political editor that Obama must destroy the GOP. While I know politics is a dirty game, the editor means it literally. Then the notion of classifying the NRA as a terrorist organization, with membership a crime.

These people aren’t joking or speaking euphemistically. They’re serious. These views have been out there a long time, but now, under Obama, they’re comfortable being more open.

On a smaller stage, look at the trolls who hate us but come here constantly simply to harass, needle, and annoy. If registration were open, we’d be flooded with libs who would make HA so unbearable many of us would leave. Can you imagine the QOTD, where people have friendly chat into the night and share music videos, being inundated with contentious liberals? Once we’re gone, the site either shuts down or becomes a clone of HuffPo.

Once a person has a devil, then all else becomes a crusade to destroy that devil and the ‘evil’ it brings. Liberals want us silenced but, since we’d still be around somewhere, they have to prevent us from getting our message out at the water cooler on the job or at the supper table. Next step would be prison. All the Left has to do is bring back the Alien and Sedition Acts and viola! No opposition.

I do believe Obama’s supporters buy into everything he said yesterday, and they even look forward to the day his obvious intentions come to pass ASAP.

We’re their devil, and it’s almost a holy rite to get rid of us every way possible.

excellent points! The Ds seem to have done an excellent job in message “entitlements” as only SS, Medicare and Medicaid. Very few include WIC, SCHIP, food, housing, heating oil subsidies, etc. You’re A Soft Touch

You really need to check the millionaires/billionaires index and note how many are DEMOCRATS. Who do you suppose the shareholders of the ‘evil’ banks are?

The fact is that there are over 100 million Americans on the 83 separate means tested federal welfare programs ( this includes foodstamps) and many are on multiple programs at any given time. These means tested programs DO NOT included Medicare, Social Security, or the VA.

These 83 means tested federal welfare programs are now THE LARGEST SINGLE PAYOUT of the federal government. They surpass everything, including defense. Under Obama’s plans, the payout for these programs is set to increase 30% over the next four years.

This doesn’t mean those currently on the programs will necessarily receive more benefits, it means the Democrats expect that many more people to become unemployed and/or poor enough to qualify for these welfare programs. Of course, with the Democrats pushing to grant residency and/or citizenship to 11-20 million illegal aliens, a large portion of that percentage would be accounted for in that figure.

Sure that is a simplistic answer…lol…
