No, Chucky and Hairy are the consequences of 17th Amendment , which needs to be repealed!

Liberals are so stupid they actually believe this stuff about getting the rich instead of looking at what happens when taxes are raised. The Googles and Microsofts of the world find ways to shelter their income, those who can’t shelter enough of it or have a monopoly (like gas and oil) simply raise their prices to cover each and every government grab at their profits……. and the consumer (yes, even the liberal consumer) ends up paying those increased taxes.

That leaves us with a decade or two of stifling, exhausting, hopelessly rising taxes. A drip here, a drip there. The ending of the 2% FICA contribution holiday will just be the tip of the spear. Every day, every debate, from now on, will be about “a little more revenue.” The U.S. economy will be stifled, stagflated, and squashed, and as interest rates go up on the debt service, more money will be printed – wiping out any nominal gains in salary. As a radio network owner told me on Friday, “We scraped and scraped the budget and cut the fat everywhere so we could give our faithful employees a COLA adjustment this year for the first time in three years. Now they are making less than before the adjustment.” He was very frustrated.

I would say feel bad for the youth who are going to be suffering the next couple decades of nongrowth, but they voted for it. Unfortunately their parents never taught them basic economics. They are the true losers here. As a 25-year-old, I feel heartsick for the bleak future we all face.

Should we say we are against it and get the blame for failure or compromise and share the blame for failure?

They are totally incompetent and can be expected to think themselves into a small urine-soaked box every. single. time.

Works for me. O has lied about reducing spending by leaning on the decreased need for future defense spending based on the foregone conclusion of us not fighing in Iraq for the next ten years.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Reductions in defense spending were never more negotiable than now, when we already know we won’t be fighting in Iraq for the next ten years. Sauce for the goose, and (hopefully) actual cuts in domestic spending to boot.

These clowns continue to insist on doing everything with zero Republican involvement, and then wonder why Republicans try to stop them from just passing whatever they feel like.

I believe a lot of people are missing the big picture: the House GOP is settling on sequestration as the final option, perhaps the only option to force real spending cuts. This means that they’ve come to terms with accepting the defense cuts.

I applaud this move, because letting the Dems worm out of sequestration invites more hoaxes – at which the Dems are legendary.

COnsider this, how does the government keep coming up with money to spend on programs that don’t work? Where did the remaining stimulus money go? How much has the budget increased because of automatic increases built into the system? Why weren’t Democrats willing to put their name on a budget for 4 years? Why was the press willing to allow them to lie about the filibuster, which can’t be used in the budget process? These are just a few questions I have that our illustrious free press has refused to go after.

The Democrats must feel, after the last election, that it’s politically safe to do a budget, but that isn’t the way the law reads. The law doesn’t say you only have to put out a budget when it’s politically safe, you need one all the time. I don’t trust the Democrats and I never will and I’m sure, after this is all over, I’ll have more company than I do now.
