Bing. I don’t ever recall seeing a commercial for a semi-automatic gun, or a commercial that included one — except for TV’s own promos for their liberal-nitwit-dominated programming.

“We no longer accept ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns pointed at people,” Time Warner Cable said in a statement. “We stand by this policy. If it’s essential to a business owner to show this kind of imagery in their commercials, there are other advertising options in the marketplace.”

Exactly the kind of posturing that would dissolve in a flash if someone put them on the spot with a question like, “Can you give us an example of an actual ad — any actual ad — that this would apply to?”

Then, of course, ask about move trailers and TV show ads.

Gee, if only there were actual journalists around to ask such questions….

What about movie TITLES?

I understand Sly Stallone (sp?) has a new movie coming out titled: Head Shot or something like that?
Wonder what Mark Kelly’s opinion on that wording will be?

If you have not as yet figured out what you need to do to stop this kind of stupidity, drop Time Warner Cable if you have it. And sell any TWC stock as well.

For as selfless and righteous as they claim to be, the liberals are far greedier, more self-interested and more self-serving than any conservative you have ever met.

(And if you have your own radio show and your name is David Webb, you should stop buying Barb Streisand music as well, but we know you just aren’t there, yet. Praying for you, though.) :)

DoesTWC carry the Outdoor Channel? Would this affect the sponsors of their Tuesday nite shooting programs or their–I think it’s Wednesday nite–self defense programs.

In any event, this is a stupid move. Tick off customers and reject the money of one of the strongest segments of the economy.

Yes, they do carry Outdoor Channel, for extra money, which is why I don’t get it. Sounds like I should sign up for it though–unless I decide to cancel my cable.

Oh, wait – isn’t that where they make most of the revenue?

TWC will have to air the Sound of Music on every one of those 150 channels that have nothing on as it is if they want to avoid guns.
