Any Senator can put a hold on any nominee for whatever reason. Filibusters never come into play on this process. The President is generally given free latitude with the picks unless there are pictures of the nominee having sex with a goat or some other obvious reason.

I say shut down the whole process and refuse to confirm any nominee to any position until the Senate passes a budget. Lew, Hagel, and Kerry are worthy of holds for various reasons but there are many positions that require Senate confirmation. Good people who should be appointed will not be the automatic “thumbs up” they should be but that is a small price to pay. I say put a hold on all of them until further notice.

As you know canopfor there is no political body called the Tea Party despite all those groups calling them Tea Parties… The Tea Party is the American Patriot and Producers… Yes we are still here and our numbers are in the tens of millions… We have gone nowhere… The debt fight and the attack on the 2nd amendment is going to energize us like never before…

The Tea Party is alive and well. It’s a grass roots movement rather than a formal political third party as you know. What needs to be done will take time, and I’d rather it be quiet yet substantial.

One question for you, a Canuck…. how did the transition occur in Canada? I’m sincerely interested. How did the political transition come about? When did the energy factor kick in and change opinion?

I’m a bit off track, but thanks for posting the Trey Gowdy vid. He’s my guy. I live in SC, and although we have our share of idiots we do produce some stars. I think Trey may be one of them. He’s a beast, relentless, and doesn’t give a rat’s ass when he decides to go for it……. prosecute the everliving daylights out of the opponent….

I think there is a lot of truth in the above quote from Der Spiegel. The dirty little secret the moochers, takers, and parasites that voted for the rat-eared wonder never comprehended is that in willingly becoming wards of the state they are the first hit when things go South. The productive class isn’t going to give the rat-eared pig the benefit of the doubt forever. When they arise, Obamaphone lady and Sandra Flukes vajayjay among the first casualties of the awakening.

The masses that supported this bastard for stuff will be among the first to turn against him when the stuff disappears. I could reference the Biblical story of the Prodigal Son or the moralistic fable of the Cricket and Grasshopper, but I won’t. I’ll just end with a more blunt assessment. No matter what the smug left thinks, as they flit around trying to undermine the First and Second Amendment, there is still a solid core of sane people in America who is about to wake up when these efforts start hurting them. The Dems are far less secure than they think but I’m all for lulling them into that sense of security.

And BTW- this has nothing to do with the GOP sissies in Congress. They will get a spine as the public outrage increases. No more talk about pandering to the parasites with promises of amnesty and free stuff. Next step for the right is to turn the squishes out by running strong conservative challengers. Even in safe districts.

Put a hold on every single damn nomination from some federal judge in one of the parasite places like Minneapolis to the cabinet posts. Just shut the whole nomination process down until the Senate passes a budget (which BTW they have to do by law). Only then should we be considering this band of socialists, anarchists, and whatever the hell faction Dante represents.
