Well, I’ll have to admit that putting Joe Biden in charge of complex and sensitive issues is typical of Obama’s wisdom.

But that’s not really meant as a compliment.

Say what you will about Jones’s emotionalism but if our representatives showed half as much passion about ANYTHING we care about, the Left might think twice about taking guns or any other violations of the Constitution.

Personally, I’ll take a dozen Alex Joneses over the feckless crowd we have in there now.

I enjoy it too. I have got to know so many posters from the qotd,over the years.
It has always been that way. Since
I can remember. O/T Off/T- poster’s sharing links,
-anything goes time.
Without it…qotd has low comment count.
The chitter’s give it the # of comments it even gets.
It is usually a rehash of a topic that has been beaten
like a dead horse all day..for several days.
When a explosive topic is qotd-not so much chatter.
Like..when Amnesty raises it’s head soon..
it will be On/T and a large comment count-for example.

Same people always moan. Sand in the vajay.

Seems some of the morning shift take up where we left off. Difference is you have new threads opening all day, whereas QOTD is the last one. People generally aren’t bouncing from thread to thread. Naturally, it makes it easy to start and maintain conversations, AKA chit chat. I think it is a good thing.

Serious side, he laid down a template how to deal with the Left Stream Media by using their own tools against them- demanding to be heard, refusing to let another speak, speaking over the other at every opportunity, answering questions with questions.

Only if it’s, you know, the actual subject of the article.

Otherwise, it becomes simply chit-chat about chit-chat.

Which would only lead to more off-topic chit-chat.

Perhaps it would be best to confine the idle chit-chat to a thread traditionally designated to allow that.
Something like…oh, say…the QOTD thread.

Well, yeah, and it’s not as if Begala couldn’t use some trivializing nor as if we don’t have more important things to be concerned about than the QOTD thread, but sometimes the subject matter is significant and could use some serious reflection.

Agreed. I do think that when the topic is one that captures the attention of enough people the comments are more substantive. There is no denying though, that sometimes going goofy is the only thing to be done.
