If it’s anything like Minnesota, they’re tied deeply to the farmers (DFL party), and so people that are normally conservative-minded vote for the candidate linked to their rural livelihoods.

While they’re sitting around the table reading the Bible or Mark Twain pays a visit, there will be an opportunity for a teachable moment about gays and racism, I’m sure.

They’ll have to recast the Sammy Davis Jr. episodes with a white native american gay gal so they don’t look raaaacist.

Straight white guys are so 20th century…..unless cast as the bad guys which still is a fine approach for Hollywood these days. And we must revise history, even in TV fiction, to give the LGBT its due in their as yet untold story of the settling and taming of our west….giving new found meaning to the “wild” west.

There was an episode that starts off with McCain saving a traveling salesman from drinking poisoned spring water. I don’t think they ever said why it was poisoned, I’m thinking it was dead animals. I’m sure they could rewrite the plot appropriately. You don’t expect them to come up with all new plots, do you?!?

All new!? Not a chance. They can just tweak the old episodes for today’s audience and issues with the appropriate PC material to get the desired propaganda and non-offending messages across.

Can you explain just what is the difference between the arbitrarily defined “Assault Weapon” and the Arms protected under the 2nd amendment?

I read CBS is going to do a remake of the series. If that actually happens, I predict it will be a propaganda vehicle for gun control advocates. The original series was great, still showing in places, thanks to cable and broadcast digital tv’s extra channels.

In developing news, diversity minded Hollywood has disclosed that Dennis Haysbert will be cast as the new Lucas McCain, and as yet unnamed, a young girl to play Marky McCain, now portrayed as an adopted latino who’s natural parents, close friends and neighbors of the widowed Lucas, tragically died from drinking poisoned well water, as a result of a local eastern syndicate mining operation tainting the water table.

The focus on the new series will be McCain diplomatically talking his way out of life threatening situations to himself and daughter, the town and local environment, in show-down birch beer summits at the North Fork, NM saloon ,without having to actually use his rifle for anything other than shooting it off at an unseen target in the opening credits.

Coincidently, All State Insurance has expressed interest in sponsoring this new series.

If gun shops could get away with selling guns at guns shows without background checks… there would be no gun shops. Not trying to tarnish the image of gun shops or anything.. but it’s just a stupid statement.

It’s like they myth that woman are paid less than men. If that were true… no man would be able to get a job in America. Companies would hire only women.

This is true – there in fact is no mention of hunting in the BOR and it is clear that is to being necessary to the security of a free state – ie a bulwark against tyranny.

Congressman VanHollen was on one of the chat factories yesterday and decried the fact that one can be on a terrorist watch list and still legally purchase a gun. Well, Congressman, just whose fault is it that a guy on a terrorist watch list is walking the streets of America in the first place? You and all you filthy liberals think the solution is to ban stuff without once being retrospective enough to question just how well you and your colleagues in the political class have been doing your jobs.
