Be extremely careful all you citizens of States where Californians are moving into….. you all will be worse off than the current day CA in just a few years.
Companies bring revenues to your states , but they also bring CAians .

this has always made me laugh as a Californian. My ancestors came here 160 years ago, built up a prosperous state and economy, but unfortunately our population doubled every 20 years for a century since 1880. Our state was fine until butt loads of New Englanders came out and changed our voting demographics. so finally when the good Californians decide to leave we get hell. the rest of you guys are hypercrits for trashing us good ones with the bad. and remember my state had more votes for Bush than many other states have total population. we may be outnumbered here, but that’s in part due to all the east coast and Midwest fools coming west for the last 100 years.
get a life. at least we Californians speak English, tend to bring wealth with us and have productive skills helpful for the community. Compare that with what us Californians have had to put up with our immigrants, so stop crying and get over yourselves.

Californian’s and noreaster’s are like a fungus, they proliferate when given the right
environment. They have ruined western WA state and are well on their way to replicating in CO and NV. I hate people from California.

Hey, some of us Californian’s are on your side. Albeit only about 35%. The wife and I will be joining our oldest daughter and grand kids in Texas when she retires in two years. The state that I loved so much has been sullied beyond imagination by selfish and rapacious leftists. Hopefully we get out before any kind of exit tax is instituted.

More often than not it’s more profitable to keep the original main offices in place (Silicon Valley, for example) while expanding in more business-friendly states (such as Nevada) instead of CA. Uprooting the entire headquarters and all of the employees can be prohibitively expensive. Plus there are often special “tax breaks” to keep the large headquarters and employees in the blue state. I’m not sure about CA but this happens all the time here in Illinois.

True enough, but CA is now upset that CA corporations are making money out-of-state that CA cannot collect taxes on. So CA now wants to tax out-of-state earnings for CA corporations. Corporations may retain existing corporate offices, but headquarters will move and they will abandon their status as CA corporations, registering instead as foreign corporations which can be taxed only on earnings in CA. Then CA will decide to tax all their earnings as well, and the corporations will leave entirely.

And one more thought: the states that want the corporations to relocate will be more than happy to pay the associated costs, including new office and manufacturing facilities.

The libs have killed the golden goose, now they want to kill the golden gosling.

One of the biggest falsehoods that’s going to come crashing down around our ears is the liberal myth that every person of every race and of either sex is perfectly interchangeable. This has gone on for so long that one man made an entire ‘historical’ movie (Guns, Germs, & Steel) to try to explain how certain peoples had more ‘cargo’ (stuff)…without seriously examining the values or behavior of said people. And he did it all because he basically felt guilty.

Now that doesn’t mean we should think about, say, restarting slavery. We have mechanical ‘labor’ now that is way more productive and doesn’t fantasize about murdering you in your bed.

But it does mean we are going to have to take a very hard look at who should get to vote, and when, and for what. Because folks, we are LIVING in the consequences of letting anyone vote for anything. I dare you to tell me it hasn’t been a complete disaster.

Look at Detroit, once the “Paris of the West” (100 years ago) and in terms of manufacturing, “the Arsenal of Democracy” (50 Years ago) Detroit is now the “Mogadishu” of the West and manufactures nothing, with over half of its population illiterate and over 80% of its graduating High School class unable to read. A few miles away, nearly all White Pittsburgh is doing fine, attracting businesses and building a communities.

To really destroy a State you have to look at the demographics, a California has been in the White replacement business for a long time.

On what planet is this taking place? I’ve seen nothing but reports of layoffs, companies folding, being liquidated and struggling to survive, amidst four years of 8% unemployment, more regulations, more taxes and the forthcoming obamacare.

Four years of 15% or higher unemployment. In reality it’s been over 20% since 2008, but what the heck, let’s pretend we have a recovery going on.

The BEA has been falsifying the GDP for quite a while, and very few are speaking up about it.

There is already serious talk of an exit tax.

There’s a reason that the borders of Communist countries were open for entry, but closed for exit. With all the talk about taxing “the rich”, it’s coming.

Ca will have to either relend in its socialist anti-business ways or it will be forced to keep people from leaving.

Well – that’s not fully true. I have worked in the technology business all my life, in both Austin, Texas and the Bay area (Silicon Valley), and here’s what I finally concluded about their respective appeals. Austin attracts a lot of centers for relatively established tech businesses (with relatively lower margin but higher volume) which need to scale up on employees who will stick around – so the pro-business tax laws in Texas are helpful for them. On the other hand, Bay Area tends to attract a large number of entrepreneurs and tech venture capitalists – and therefore higher risk, higher reward businesses, whose employees will move around whenever another startup seems more alluring. The business models are somewhat different.

Yup. And they’re ruining the state. A buddy of mine who works for the Denver post said about 60% of the employees are from California or Chicago. All of them a bunch of left wing hacks.

Prop 13 repeal as well as Prop 30 were the 2 reasons which made me get rid of almost all my rental /commercial properties by
Dec 2012. I feel sorry ( well not really) for those idiots who took out loans to buy me out ,
dreaming of a prosperous future :( IN CA
